❝"Maybe, I can't stop you. But I sure as hell am not being a part of this.❞
[Hell No, Dolly]

The ship was surprisingly quiet when they got back, and after they'd locked up the dybuck and gotten changed out of their New Orleans clothes, Myra looked around for Charlie, but she didn't seem to be on the ship.
Myra noticed Zari was in the kitchen, she decided to ask her, "Hey, have you seen Charlie? Or John for that matter?"
Zari shook her head, "No, so, they're probably up to something."
Zari set down her food and grabbed her tablet to look something up, "The jumpship is gone."
"Sara's going to kill us." Myra cursed and then sobered, "Well, kill you, since you were with them."
"Thanks." Zari glared, sarcastically at Myra, and moved out the door before looking back at Myra, "Well, are you coming or not?"
Myra groaned but followed Zari, rather reluctantly.
Zari quickly contacted the jumpship, "I know you two are up to something and as much as I hate babysitting, I hate being played even more." Zari looked at Myra who stood with her arms crossed over her chest, before she looked back at the screen, "Gideon bring them back to the Waverider. They have some serious explaining to do"
Zari ended the communication and then looked curiously at Myra, "Are you okay?"
Myra nodded, "Yeah, why wouldn't I be okay?"
"You just look kind of upset." Zari explained.
"I'm not upset, Z. I'm fine." Myra told her.
"Fine. I can handle this alone if you want." Zari told her.
"What else do I have to do anyway?" Myra asked, and followed Zari to the library.

As soon as John and Charlie arrived back at the ship and made their way to the library, Zari and Myra were ready for them.
"What's going on?" Myra asked the two, drinking whiskey that she had poured for herself, basically for liquid courage.
John poured himself a glass before speaking, "There's one thing you need to understand, is that I don't go in for all that love crap. Romance is for little girls crying into their pillows, not for a devious tosser like me who knows the score."
Myra rolled her eyes, "Good to know," before she took a gulp of her whiskey.
"But then, six months ago, I met him. Desmond." John continued, "And that first night was like a second line had marched into my useless heart and breathed some life into it again. Desmond knew who I was, exactly what I'd done, and he didn't care. So, I was all in. Rented an apartment. And then this demon shows up. Neron. Wanted me to help him usurp the triumvirate ruling hell."
"Well, he must have had something on you to expect that." Charlie broke in.
"The deed to my soul." John responded, "When I die, the bastard owns me. And he's already worked out lots of excruciating torments for yours truly in the inferno. So, naturally, I told Neron to piss off."
"Naturally." Zari said.
"I begged Dez to run. I knew that Neron would use him against me." John said and cursed, "But the bloody fool didn't listen. So Neron dragged Dez to hell because of me. I didn't think there was a way that I could save him."
"That's the thing about time travel, right? There's always a way." Zari said.
"I joined the Legends thinking I could outrun my guilt, but being back in New Orleans, I realized I was just taking the cowards way out. So, I had to save him." John finished.
"So, now that you know what we was up to, do you mind explaining why it didn't work?" Charlie asked.
"Some points in history are fixed." Myra said, finishing her drink.
"Maybe John and Desmond were supposed to meet." Zari explained and walked over to him, "Look, I'm sorry. I'm going to do everything I can to find a loophole to save Desmond and keep history intact."
"You do that love." John nodded.
Myra gave John a sad smile, "I'm sorry, John. I'm sure we can find a way to save him," before she and Zari left the library.

Myra helped Zari for awhile but then she decided to go check on John who was in the cargo bay talking to Charlie. Myra paused in the doorway to listen to their conversation.
"If meeting Desmond is a fixed point in time, I have to go back to after I met him and stop him from falling for me." John said, "That's how I save Desmond's life. History be damned."
Myra gritted her teeth and walked in right when he finished, "Hey, just wanted to check in, make sure no one was going to take the jumpship for another unauthorized joyride."
John glared at her, "You were listening, weren't you?"
Myra crossed her arms, "So, what if I was. You can't just go around changing history. Some things just can't be messed with."
"Says the one who wanted to change her past." John argued.
"But I didn't." Myra rgued, "Sure, I tried to kill some members of this team to get what I want but once I saw the consequences that might occur from my actions, I backed down."
"No, you were a coward. Maybe you don't deserve to save your sister." John argued.
"How dare you?" Myra yelled at him, "I would do anything to reverse my past actions and save my sister, but I didn't because the consequences could have been disastrous." Before he could say anything else, she continued, "And don't you dare tell me I don't understand love. Because I do, and I understand wanting to do anything to save someone you love, but sometimes, there's really nothing we can do."
Charlie was standing in the corner, trying not to intervene.
Myra shook her head, "Maybe, I can't stop you. But I sure as hell am not being a part of this." She waved her finger at both of them, "You two should be ashamed of yourselves."
Myra rolled her eyes at the two of them, and quickly left the cargo bay before they could say anything else.
