After Myra had had quite a few drinks, she realized that most of the Legends had left the party. Myra looked around spotting Mick getting another refill and she went over to him just as Nate joined the two.

"Nate. Thank goodness." Myra sighed with relief.

"You're still here?" Nate asked her and then looked at her curiously, "How many drinks have you had?"

"I could ask you the same question And definitely enough to feel something but not enough to forget who I am." She responded and then looked at Mick, "How many drinks have you had?"

He shrugged and didn't answer.

"Yeah speaking of, Mick what are you still doing here?" Nate asked him.

"Machine's still spinning, and I'm still standing." Mick responded.

"If that isn't a good answer then I don't know what is?" Myra laughed and gestured towards the machine, "I may as well have another one."

"You know what? Hook me up with one of those." Nate agreed, "Now that we fixed our last Anachronism, it's only a matter of time before the Bureau puts us out the pasture, which blows because being a Legend was the only thing I was good at."

"Well speak for yourself. I was a great criminal." Mick responds.

Myra grabbed her drink from Mick and was almost about to down the entire thing when she stared at Nate, "You don't really think they're going to fire us, do you?"

Nate shrugged, "I mean what's left for us to do? Hey. At least we got these cool medals."

"Yeah." Myra said, peering at it.

Suddenly Gary appeared beside them, "Actually, the medal has to remain top secret, because no one can know about time travel, so I'll just take these back now for safe-keeping."

Gary started grabbing the medals and Myra groaned and downed the rest of her drink.

"What do you say we find some real action?" Mick asked the two.

"Mick. I am 100% down." Nate nodded and looked at Myra.

"What the hell?" Myra shrugged, agreeing.

"Ooh I'll come with." Gary grinned at them but Mick growled at him so he backed down.

"Sorry." Myra apologized and Nate wrapped his arm around her shoulders, steering her out.

Mick smashed the window of a car out on the street and Nate looked horrified while Myra just smirked at them.

"I could have just called us an Uber." Nate said.

"You ready to steal something?" Mick asked.

"So, we're going to rob people?" Myra asked, "Hell yeah, cause I have no money."

"Um yeah, I could do some light theft." Nate said, looking around anxiously as Myra opened the back door of the car and climbed inside.

"What is this, spring break?" Mick asked, "I'm talking about a felony. Now get in."

Myra rolled down the window and stared at him, "Come on, Nate. I used to do this for a living, honestly what do we have to lose?"

Nate sighed, "Okay, you know what? If we're going to rob a house we really should make sure there's stuff in there worth stealing. And I think I know just the neighborhood."

Myra looked suspiciously at him but waved him into the car, "Well, let's get going then."

>> >> >>

"This neighborhood is bougie." Myra nodded in appreciation as Mick grabbed a garden gnome from the lawn of the house that the three were standing outside.

"Hey whoa." Nate grabbed the gnome from Mick before he threw it, "You are so aggressive. Why don't you look for a spare key?"

"Good spotting, pretty." Mick answered.

Myra raised an eyebrow at her best friend, "Nate. Do you know who lives here?"

"What are you talking about Myr?" Nate shrugged, "I'm just using my brain."

Myra laughed suspiciously, "Uh huh. I mean, I would have looked under the doormat but hey, what do I know? I'm just one of the most well known vigilantes."

Myra followed the two into the house, looking around, "I bet this house has loads of cash. I'll go find the office, if there is one."

"Wait." Nate held up his hand and then spotted alcohol on a table, "Bingo."

Myra grabbed one of the bottles as the other two men grabbed the others but then they heard the sound of a gun cock and the three halted in place.

The man holding the gun held up his phone to his ear before speaking into it, "Yes, I'd like to report a robbery."

But before he could, a woman rushed in and grabbed the phone from his hand, "You will do nothing of the sort."

She looked at the three and then hugged Nate, "Oh Nate. It's so good to see you."

Myra's eyes widened and she looked at Mick in confusion who said, "What the hell is going on here?"

"Um Mick, Myra. These are my parents." Nate sighed, introducing them, "This is Mick Rory and Myra Shang."

Myra raised an eyebrow at Nate.

"I'm Dorothy Heywood, you can call me Dot. Hi." Nate's mom said and shook Mick and then Myra's hand.

"And this is my dad, Hank." Nate looked at the floor as if embarrassed.

"Henry Heywood." His dad corrected, "And I believe one of my great grandmother's silver candlesticks has found its way into your coat." He stared at Mick and then looked at Myra suspiciously.

Mick pulled the candlestick out of his coat and looked at Myra.

Myra sighed and pulled a silver letter opener from her boot and set it on the table next to them, "I'm sorry, Sir."

Nate looked at her in confusion and hissed, "When did you?"

Myra glared at him, "Doesn't matter."

"You have excellent taste in silver." Dot said with an apologetic smile on her face and looked at Nate, "Is she your girlfriend?"

Myra snorted at that, "Uh he wishes."

Nate shot her an annoyed look, "More like you wish."

"In your dreams Nate." Myra winked at him and then turned to Nate's mother, "Um no. I'm his friend. And we're very sorry for all this."

"Yeah, sorry to barge in on you. I thought you'd be up at Martha's Vineyard this time of year." Nate apologized.

"Oh we were. But your father just took a very exciting job at the Pentagon." Dot smiled.

"I feel like we shouldn't know that." Myra whispered, more to herself than Nate.

"Um, we'll just get going then." Nate looked at Myra and Mick.

"Good idea." Hank responded but Dot pushed them back, "Don't be ridiculous. Um Mr. Rory, Ms. Shang, do you like sandwiches?"

"You bet your ass I do, ma'am." Mick said rather quickly.

Myra nodded, just then realizing that she was still hungry even though they'd had food at the party, she'd mainly had alcohol, "Yes ma'am."

"I'm going to fix you guys a little midnight snack." Dot steered Mick and Myra away.

And that was how the three ended up eating in Nate's parent's kitchen in the middle of the night. Myra felt a little awkward and she kept giving Nate glances hoping that he would help them leave. They still didn't know where the rest of their team was at the moment and for all they knew, they could be flying around in time without them.

"You certainly can eat a lot of sandwiches Mr. Rory and Ms. Shang." Dot looked at the two of them who were acting like they hadn't eaten in weeks, "Where did you get those big muscles, Mr. Rory?"

"Prison." Mick answered.

Myra suddenly choked on her sandwich and Nate pushed the glass of water in front of him to her as Dot laughed to cover up her surprise.

"Isn't he a hoot, Henry?" Dot nudged her husband.

Hank however didn't seem impressed, "What a barrel of laughs."

Myra kicked Nate lightly under the table and gave him a confused look, trying to get her message across that they should leave, but Nate didn't answer.

Dot suddenly got up from the table, "Excuse me." She grabbed some of the plates.

Myra jumped up, wanting a break from the rather awkward tension at the table, "Um, let me help you. It's the least I could do."

"Oh." Dot looked at her with gratitude, "Thank you but you don't have to."

"It's okay, I don't mind." Myra smiled at her and grabbed the other dishes that were empty and helped her take them away.

"So, how did you meet Nate?" Dot asked her as Myra set the dishes on the counter in the kitchen.

Myra looked at her confused but answered as honestly as she could, "Um, he helped me when I was at a low point and we sort of work together."

"Oh, what do you do?" Dot asked curiously.

Myra gulped as she then knew that his parents had no idea about his job or anything of the sort, "Helping people. Nonprofit. That sort of thing."

"Oh." Dot said and then was quiet for a bit, seeming to end the conversation.

Myra was silent too as she washed a couple of the dishes before breaking the silence, "Your son's a really good guy, I hope you know that."

Dot nodded gratefully and suddenly Nate barged in on the two.

"What's the matter?" Myra took in Nate's panicked face.

"We have to go." Nate said and then looked at his mom, "Thanks for the sandwiches."

Nate grabbed Myra's hand and pulled her to him. Myra looked at Dot and smiled thankfully, "Thank you. It was nice to meet you."

Nate tightened his grip on Myra's fingers as he steered her out of the kitchen. Mick followed behind the two and Myra finally spoke, "Nate that was rude. What the hell is going on?"

"There's something wrong with history." Nate answered and squeezed her fingers as he led them out of the house.
