Poppyfrost was curled up into a ball in the corner, sobbing loudly at the loss of one of her kits. Willowbreeze was trying to comfort her, although she started to sob too, probably thinking about what happened to Bramblekit.

Rainfeather smirked as she padded into the warriors den, reviving glares from some of Shadowclaw's closest friends.

Hearing Redstar's faint cough, she smiled before curling up and drifting into sleep.

"Welcome back." Secretstar meowed, dipping her head.

Rainfeather glanced at the small tabby she-cat next to her. "You brought her here." Secretstar said. "You train her."

Rainfeather nodded and padded away, leaving Stormpaw to trail behind.

"Did you really kill Frostkit?" Stormpaw asked, padding beside her.

Rainfeather looked at her paws. "That doesn't matter."

"Yes it does!" Stormpaw responded, her tail lashing. "You did, didn't you!"

"Yes, I did! Now get over it!" Rainfeather screeched, baring her teeth.

Stormpaw flinched at her sudden snap.

Rainfeather quickly regretted it. She turned her head before dashing away.

"Alright." Rainfeather meowed. "First I'm going to assess your skills. Attack me."

Stormpaw leaped, but landed clumsily on Rainfeather's back. She quickly reared up on her hind paws, causing Stormpaw to fall onto the bloodstained sand.

"Don't look at where your going to aim." Rainfeather smirked, stepping back.

Stormpaw lunged again, but Rainfeather leaped up and kicked out with her hind paws, sending her flying across the arena.

Stormpaw stood up and shook out her fur. "We will train more tomorrow." Rainfeather purred, waking up in her warm nest.

No one stirred.

Rainfeather stood up and shook the moss from her fur. She perked her ears at the cough of Redstar. Padding out, she approached Redstar's den and peaked inside.

"Hello Rainfeather." He rasped.

"Hello Redstar." She purred, slowly slinking in.

Rainfeather looked down at the sickened leader, unable to defend himself.

With a quiet purr, she sank her teeth into Redstar's neck.
