Constance's POV.

  I worried about my new friend. She seemed very uneasy and she shook. Her line of vision was aimed at this rich looking boy that was staring her down. I knew this was what was driving her mad. During our presentation I noticed that he snickered when we showed our pieces. He mouthed the word lesbian knowing I would see it. This kid was a piece of shit and I could easily understand why Eva was uncomfortable. RING! I sighed in relief knowing the class was over. We walked out quickly and met in the hall.

"Eva, what is bothering you," I asked.

"There is a boy in this class. He and I used to be good friends. Then, he developed feelings for me that I didn't return. He was enraged and started to spread rumors on how I was an asexual freak. The reason I have no friends is that I refused to date the principals son," she confessed as she cried. The next move could run or increase our friendship. I gave her a hug as she wrapped her hands around me.

"I'm so sorry you had to deal with that shit," I whispered.

"Its okay. At least I have you now," she replied softly. My heart started to race as my face turned a beat red color.

"We should head to our next class," I claimed not wanting to let go.

"Alright, see you at lunch Constance," she responded.

"See you," I replied sad that I had to go to class alone. I have math next and I wasn't concerned at all until I realized that Kyle was in my class. Sweat started to pour from my skin until I just stopped caring that he was in there. Kyle stood next to me as he pounded his fist on my desk.

"What are you doing with Eve new girl?" he sneered.

"She is a friend of mine," I replied trying to stay calm.

"Don't even fall for her you lesbian. She is mine and I will win her over," he huffed.

"If you truly love her then why do you treat her like dirt?" I asked with rage in my eyes.

"She needs to kneel down to her man. I own her and there is nothing you can do about that," he claimed.

"First of all she doesn't even like you. Second of all she is owned by no one and I will not let you harm my friend," I replied smugly.

"It is obvious that you have feelings for her. I suggest you back off and stay out of it. If you don't I will tell her how you feel about her," he threatened. 

"I am not promising you anything. The whole town could hate me and I wouldn't care. I only have two more years of this place then I can leave," I replied.

"We will see about that then," he sneered. The class was long and boring and filled with rage. I admit I have feelings for Eva but, no one will know especially Kyle. This year will be very interesting.
