Jungkook spent more time staring into his food rather than digging into it, which happened once in a blue moon and surely his parents would definitely notice it. He knew to expect that his parents would know it would be something about Chaeyoung but he didn't expect them to know the real reason of him thinking of her.

"We heard about it," his dad began.

"She didn't want it, did she?" his mother asked.

"Mm-hm," he responded simply.

"How about you?"

"Me?" he lifted his brow. "What about me?"

"What do you think about it?" his father asked.

Jungkook took a deep breath, releasing it heavily as he leaned backward and crossed his arms over his chest. "I don't like it."

It was a rare moment for his mother to agree with him, but this was one of those moments. "That's unfair to Chaeyoung. She's a wise girl, I'm sure if she's given the chance, she'll make a great choice and decision for herself like her brother."

"I don't think there's anything we can do to help them change their minds," his father said.

There was a truth to that. As much as he didn't want to see her go, he had no rights to stop them from making such decisions. But Chaeyoung had her own rights too.

For the whole day, he didn't see any message from her nor did he see her strolling around anywhere around the neighborhood. He'd sent her funny pictures to cheer her up after the small fight they had, but she hadn't responded.

Late at night, Jungkook heard furious sounds of ball bouncing against the floor of the basketball court next to his house and he was right when he thought it was Chaeyoung. At every failure of her scoring, Chaeyoung threw even harder next and from the window of his kitchen, Jungkook watched his girlfriend getting frustrated, giving up as she let the ball roll away while she sat on the ground, long legs stretched forward with her shoulders slumped, head hanging low.

Jungkook walked out of his house and carefully approached her from behind, not trying to hide the sound of his footsteps approaching so as not to startle her. He knew Chaeyoung heard him coming but she didn't lift her head. Slowly, Jungkook bent down and let his lips met the top of her head, his hands gently held her shoulders.

When he pulled away but stay bent, Jungkook tilted his head a little the moment she slowly turned her head to look at him. The tears welling up in her eyes making it as though her eyes were looking like a broken glass.

"Hey..." he gave her a warm smile when he noticed that her lower lips started to tremble. Jungkook immediately sat beside her before he turned his body so that he would be facing the side of her. "Hey," he attempted again, finger gently trying to make her turn to him and she did with reluctance. Jungkook cupped her cheek and wiped her tears with his thumb. "Don't cry. With lots of practice, I'm sure you'll be as good as Yoongi," he tried to joke but immediately regretted it when she frowned and stood up to her feet to run away to her house.

"Hey, hey, okay, okay. I'm sorry," he said quickly after scrambling to get up and managed to grab her wrist before she could go far. He pulled her gently to the center of the court and ran lightly to take the abandoned ball from earlier. "You're still upset, so why don't we play a few rounds? You are allowed to cheat and if you win, you'll get to beat me up for whatever I did or didn't do wrong. If I win, I'll get to kiss you. Deal?"

Chaeyoung pouted, avoiding his eyes but quickly grabbed the ball from his hand and started to shoot. The ball bounced off the backboard but failed to go into the hoop and Jungkook took the chance to get the ball and dribbled it while going around her in circle, playfully provoking her and she immediately stole it from him, shooting it and this time, scoring with success.

Jungkook's grin grew wider on his face when he saw how it made her smile a little. Not wasting a time, he grabbed the ball and played it seriously to make it a tie between them and when she scoffed at him, Jungkook gave her a wink and a smirk. And for the third time, he let her win.

He dramatically spread his arms in the air and closed his eyes tightly. "Beat me up all you want. You won."

But nothing came and he thought she'd left him standing all alone there. When he opened his eyes, she was still there, standing straight while facing him. She had her head down, then, and a hand covering her face. Chaeyoung was crying again, and Jungkook felt his heart broke even more, further reminding him of the things he imagined all day long, things that showed how it would feel without her around. He simply couldn't picture it happening at all.

"Chaeng..." he breathed and with furrowed brows while trying not to show his own emotion, Jungkook stepped forward slowly in an attempt of pulling her into his embrace but she moved quicker, stepping toward him in long steps and putting her arms around his neck.

"I can't even imagine leaving, Jungkook," she sobbed against his shoulder.

Jungkook stroked her hair and embraced her tighter, silently agreeing with what she'd said. Neither can I. After some time when she'd finally calmed down a little, Jungkook calmly said, "Everything will be alright."

She pushed herself off him, loosening her hold around him but stayed within his arms. Her frown was enough to tell him of her disagreement with his statement. "What do you mean by that? Obviously it's not alright."

"It's not. But it will be alright," he chuckled and tried to lift the mood. "You'll find great people to be your friends. You can boast to Jimin, then, that you have more friends than just your neighborhood friends!" His own laughter broke the silent night when she chuckled slightly at that.

"It's not the same without you," she said sadly. "Without Lisa, without Jennie, without Jisoo. Without Jimin. It's not going to be the same."

He had nothing to rebut that, and so he told her other great things that she could find in a new place. "I'm sure you'll be the top student, again. You'll have no problem in every semester, I'm sure. I'm a hundred percent sure of that."

"It's not the same without you," she repeated and her frown got even heavier.

"You'll be alright, Chaeyoung. Won't you trust me?"

"You might be okay with long distance relationship, but I don't think I can," she choked on her sob. "What if when I leave, you'll find somebody else?"

Jungkook gazed at her softly, his small smile softly decorating his face. Chaeyoung wasn't really one who'd get jealous easily, but when she did, Jungkook had to admit that it felt beyond amazing.

"Is that what you're worrying?" he asked and she nodded.

"It's one of the many things I'm worrying about."

Jungkook displayed a smirk. "Please. We both know that the only person who has to worry about 'somebody else' is me."

"Look who's talking," she scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest. "You've worked out a lot. Look at all these muscles," she poked at his chest and his arms. "Combined with your face, I'm sure girls would swoon over if you just spare them a glance."

Jungkook laughed lightly. "You saying I'm attractive?"

Chaeyoung sighed out loud and tried to get away from him but he wouldn't let her, forcing her to tell him what she thought of him. "Of course you are!" she said, annoyed.

"Well, look who's talking. Everywhere you go, boys can't keep their eyes off you even when I'm around. And this smile," he pulled her cheeks to make her smile to which she slapped his hands and he responded with a chuckle. "Just a small smile and all the boys worship you. I'm still not over that Junhoe guy trying to woo you even when he knew that you're off limits. Can't imagine if you got bored and be the first to find somebody else while I'm here talking to the moon."

"That's why I shouldn't leave," she said softly and chuckled when Jungkook widened his eyes at her.

"Oh, so you mean that would actually happen, huh?" he playfully made his tone close to being irritated.

She chuckled for a few moments while shaking her head before hanging her arms around his shoulder, resting her forehead on his and Jungkook pulled her close to his body, holding her tightly.

"Chaeyoung, I promise you'll be the only girl I'll look at, stare at, be intimate with and be affectionate with." He looked into her eyes and whispered. "You're my first and you'll be my last. You know that."

She pulled him into a kiss, a desperate kiss and Jungkook returned it just the same. Her leaving wouldn't be the next day, nor would it be next week. It would be months away but still, he poured all his feelings into the kiss, trying to tell her how he truly felt about the whole situation, that it wasn't okay for him as well.

And he knew that given their age right at that moment, it might seem like they were being too much with this whole loving each other stuff. But he knew his feelings well and he could feel it in his guts that hers was just the same like his. People would say that they were still too young, and both of them knew of that too. People would say that they were still in the phase of exploring things, still trying to figure things out, and yes, Jungkook agreed with that.

But he wanted to explore, to figure things out, experience everything with Chaeyoung, and only her.

When the kiss broke, Chaeyoung gazed deep into his eyes and softly said, "You can count on me to not lay my eyes on any other guy. I promise that it will only be you, Jungkook."

And he was confident with what she said because deep down, he knew that it was the truth. "I know."
