"I fail to communicate properly, "

"I failed miserably to make Avni feel my love, my affection"

"Why am I like this!? Why?!" Sudhan heaved a sigh running his hand through his hair recklessly.

"You are pathetic."He shook his head fervently thinking about Avni's words.

Did he ever imagined a day like this?!

Never, Not even in his weird dream.

He was so confident and he has full hopes on Avni

He never doubted a second before expressing his feelings to her, She thought her to be very mature and kind.

Though he thought its too early, he never thought she would reject him with such a lame reason.

She feels him domineering and arrogant.

She said she got a problem with his rude behaviour.

Her words truly stabbed him deep in his heart

He got hurt by her choice of words.

She can be a bit polite while declining his proposal, there is no reason to be harsh.

And the irony is! She pointed out the same behaviour in him.

He laughed aloud at the thought.

It has been almost a week since that accident happened, she left the place along with her parents and Sudhan couldn't come back to his original self yet.

It took some time for him to digest the fact that he proposed her and she rejected him.

How can she reject him even after knowing him for a fair time?

She has seen him thriving hard to crack the medicine entrance, he always lived up to his parents', others' expectations.

He always tried to prove what he is, instead of relying on his parents for achieving his dreams.

He never took anyone's help still she called him " worthless."

She asked him what he is without his father?

She asked what he is without his surname?

This did prick his heart.

The bitter fact is that she not only rejected him but also called him names, selfish, opportunist and worthless.

What hasn't she called him?! But why?

He knows he can't compel her to accept his love but she has no right to call him worthless, selfish, opportunist.

Sudhan was beyond broken and became completely restless.

He wanted someone to pour his heart out and share his feelings.

His sister and cousins are too young to say all this and he can't trust them completely.

He told every single thing to Nivas as he felt the need of someone's shoulder to lean on and talk.

Nivas being the renowned playboy, the heartbreaker laughed at Sudhan instead of consoling him.

"I told you, man, don't be an emotional fool"

"Never let anyone control your feelings."

"Be a king, live life king size"

"Be practical my boy, there is nothing like love"

"There is nothing like heart, soul, love, affection....."

"Never invest your emotions for wrong things, especially for girls.."

"They don't deserve our care, our love."

"Heart is just another organ in our body."

"Everything lies here, in your brain."Nivas looked at Sudhan with a smirk pointing his forefinger at his head.

"What did she say?"

"Pathetic?! right?!"

"Man she doesn't know what is she going to miss?!"

"You are a handsome guy with a great future ahead, "

"I mean why can't she just look at you, your bank balance."

"My friend is such a rich filthy chap, a girl would crave for."

"Just forget her and move on, you deserve someone better."Nivas looked at Sudhan with a small smile.

Sudhan didn't move a bit, didn't talk a word.

He sat like a rock, he is controlling his pain, tears.

He doesn't want to cry, he knows well he can't cry still a part of him wanted to cry, shout aloud.

Yes, he is rich and he is indeed blessed to have such protective parents, Is this his fault?

He never misused their power, their wealth.

Why Avni thinks such?!

He wanted to ask her, tell her what he is?

But what all he could think is Nithya's words.

What did she say!? Maybe she is true!

He stood up from there and started searching for her.

Nithya too wanted to talk to Sudhan after their strange encounter soon after meeting her dad.

She tried to talk to him a couple of times but failed miserably.

He didn't talk to her, evidently avoided her the couple of times they encountered accidentally at library and lab.

It did break her heart.

No matter how much she tried to console her poor heart she can't make some peace with it.

He is searching for her every nook and cranny of the college.

Sad, he didn't find her anywhere.

As time passes he became so desperate to see her.

Nivas caught his collar and dragged him to his room and offered alcohol to Sudhan.

Though Sudhan felt it's not the time to sip the intoxicating liquid, the pain he is experiencing make him go crazy.

He quickly gulped down the chill liquid like a a(hu)ngry bull and his throat burned like hell.

He chocked for a second and spilt the fluid with a force.

Everything in front of him began to move bizarrely.

"Goodbye" He tried to stand up and fell.

Nivas tried to stop him but no use.

Sudhan looked so adamant and he wanted to meet her.

What all he can see her face.

What all he could feel is her smile.

He could feel the warmth in her gaze.

Her innocent face, her pure smile attracted him.

She is smiling like a kid.

She is longing for his single glance.

She loves him and he can see it through her pair of magnetic eyes.

And he hates it.....

He ran down and tried to get into the car.

Thankfully, Nivas followed him in time.

Before Sudhan gets into the car get hold of the steering, Nivas occupied the driver's seat.

"Go...!" Sudhan shouted and this time Nivas can't stop him.

Nivas knows his friend very well and he needs to let his pain out.

Finally, they reached their destination.

Sudhan didn't hesitate a bit to bang the door.

Before he could bang the door hard another time with his fist, she caught it in time.

"Sudhan....!"She spoke his name affectionately looking at him in sheer shock.

"Are you okay?!" She asked in a screechy tone with eyes brimmed with tears.

She gently patted his chin with her hand and dragged him into the room holding his hand firmly.

Nivas followed them quietly and she closed the door with a thud.
