Ava slowly opens her eyes as sunlight dances along her face. She fell asleep inside the comfort of her secret little cave. The magic comforted her to sleep. She came to them with tears in her eyes trying to warn them. The magic swirled around her with a calming shhh. Ava stretches as a young deer comes wandering into the cave.
"Hi little deer," she says. "I promise I will save your home," she tells the beautiful creature.
Sadness rushes over her as she remembers why she is here. She knows her family is out looking for her, but she has to figure out a way to save the creatures and magic of these woods. She gets to her feet as the wind tickles her. Her giggles echo through the cave and the sound is beautiful. She exits the cave and dips her toes in the water of the falls. The sound of it surrounds her and she finds it comforting.
Bunnies hop around the area as the animals gather - almost like she's a princess and can talk to the animals in song. Ava hums as she touches the falls. The sun hits directly on the cave causing the crystals inside to glow and sparkle. She wonders if anyone knows about the small cave behind the falls. Is it visible to everyone or just her?
"Magic wind?" she asks.
The wind comes swirling over leaves nestled inside the swirls, beautiful flowers as well. The flowers and leaves begin to weave together like the wind is creating something. It spins around up above Ava's head and she watches in awe as the wind sets down a nature made flower crown on top of her head.
"Princess," the wind whistles.
Ava stares at her reflection inside the pool of water at the bottom of the falls. In the reflection is a much older girl with longer mousy brown hair with a braid that cascades down her shoulder. Familiar eyes stare back at her and she realizes that it's her own reflection, a much older version of herself. A version that maybe one day could rule this beautiful forest of magic.
"You can save us princess, we believe in you," the wind whistles.
Tiny droplets of water start slowly trickling down on Ava's head. She looks up to see the sunny skies turn gray and the heaviness in the atmosphere feels bad and scary. A twig snaps behind her and the whirling wind disappears, but the crowd - Ava checks her head, is still there. Ava turns ready to see an animal in the clearing, but that's not what's there when she looks.
