It was that time of year again for the Darling sisters to take their annual trip to visit their aunt Christine. Home for aunt Chris, as they call her, was in a small town in rural Maine called Rainbow Falls.

The oldest of the three sisters was Kate, she stared out the window in protest over missing her best friend Ivy's tenth birthday at Explore Kingdom. Not only was Explore the number one play place in town, it also had the best games, and the most delicious flavors of cotton candy, EVER.

The middle sister Sophie bopped along to the music on the radio. She on the other hand was excited to spend the next two weeks with her aunt. Her favorite part was exploring the woods behind her aunt's property.

Younger sister Ava didn't have a care in the world. At six years old she was on the verge of losing her first tooth and wished so hard it would fall out during her stay at aunt Chris's. She knew the tooth fairy that visited aunt Chris's house gave more money than the one at her house. She saw first hand when Sophie lost a tooth last holiday. She got a whole whopping ten dollars and Ava was determined to get the same. She was saving up for another LOL doll that her mom told her was just too much money.

Their mom Lauren Darling reached to take a sip of her Starbucks tea, that sat on the center console. She had been driving for two hours and was ready for the car ride to be over. Between Kate's tantrum and Sophie's singing it was enough to drive her up a wall. She loved her daughters more than anything, but she was looking forward to a small break to go visit her friend Paula in Florida and enjoy the nice sunny weather. Sure Maine was lovely this time of year, but Lauren craved the warmth of the sun rather than the chilly spring air of Maine.

"Are we there yet?" Ava pipes.

"Almost darling, there's the Henderson farm," Mrs. Darling says, pointing out a small farm on their right.

Two minutes pass by, "Are we there now?" She chides.

"Turning onto Aunt Chris's road now."

The van groaned as Mrs. Darling turned onto a dirt road. Holes and uneven ground made the car rock causing the girls to bounce around in their seats.

The small white house is surrounded by acres upon acres of wooded area. Ava and Sophie scream out with joy as Mrs. Darling pulls into the driveway. As they approach the house a short petite figure steps out onto the old rickety porch.

"Aunt Chris!"

Ava screams as if she can hear her with the car windows closed tight and the sounds of a Taylor Swift song rumbling through the car. The second Mrs. Darling stops the car Ava and Sophie are already unbuckled from their boosters and out the van door. Aunt Chris steps forward taking them into their arms.

"Ah the Darling sisters," she says bringing them into her arms.

Mrs. Darling steps out of the van and begins grabbing the suitcases from the back. Kate makes her protest known, by waiting to get out of the car. When she finally does aunt Chris is the first at her side pulling her into a hug.

"Don't you worry, my love," she says. "You and I will go on so many adventures you won't even think about anything else."

Kate gives a small smile, but still holds onto her pouty face.
