No Rules
I looked at Vinny as he held the box in his hands. I knew that he and Justin were talking about it, but I didn't realize he had already planned it. I could feel the tears start welling in my eyes as I brought my eyes back to him. I got out of my thoughts and looked at him with a huge grin and nodded, feeling one of the tears fall. "Yes. Of course, I'll marry you, Vin. I love you." I was still in shock, but my words brought a huge smile to his face, and he took my hand. He slid the ring onto my finger and pulled me closer to kiss me. I could feel the butterflies still fluttering around when we kissed and eventually, I pulled away to look at him. "Vinny...I couldn't have imagined a better way for this to happen. My god, I love you." I smiled again and he pressed a soft kiss to the top of my head. "I love you too, Eden. I'll always love you."
After exploring the rest of the garden, we decided to go explore more of the city. Once we found a lake, I took his hand, leading him toward a bridge overlooking it. I felt the cold air hitting us and watched as it blew his hair. When we stopped walking, I just stood there admiring him. I think he could tell I was getting cold though, because he pulled me in closer to him. I leaned into him, resting my head against him as I looked out to the lake and the reflections of the lights shining against it. After a moment, I heard him start humming a tune and I couldn't help but to smile, then I had a realization.
"Vin?" I turned my head slightly to look up to him. He seemed to be deep in thought, because it took a moment for him to realize. "Hm?" "I realized something..." I mused and moved to completely face him. "We aren't on a bus tonight." I saw the look of immediate confusion wash over him. "I- well, yeah? Why would we be?" I laughed at that and shook my head. "Vin, that isn't my point. Remember the rule? Tonight, we have no rules." I smiled and when realization hit him, he started to blush, "Do you mean- Like actually-" "mhm! I think it would be fun." I nodded again, and Vinny started to smile more. "I like that idea. Just- tell me if you change your mind?" "I will." I lifted myself slightly to press a kiss to his cheek. "I'm positive. Let's go explore some more first."
Vinny nodded and took my hand as he started to walk away from the bridge. I don't think he knew really where we were going, but in all honesty, I didn't mind. We did come across a game store that he wanted to visit so I agreed. When we walked in, his eyes immediately set on a sculpture on display in the demo area. "Eden! Look!" he looked like a kid in a candy store. "I've gotta get it-" "Vin, love, where would you put that? We go home soon." I could see the disappointment in his eyes when he remembered, and he nodded. "Yeah, you're right. Maybe I can find one at the store at home? I don't know...Hey, I'm going to run to the bathroom I'll be right back, okay?" he pressed a kiss to my cheek, and I nodded "Okay love" I watched him walk away and looked at the sculpture. He really did seem happy about it. I looked at the price on it and felt myself cringe a little, but I went up to the desk. "Excuse me, that sculpture over there. Is there any way it could be shipped? My fiancé and I are here on tour and he's absolutely in love with it." "I can check, let me see!" I looked around to make sure Vinny wasn't close and nodded. After a few moments, the worker came back, "We can, you would just have to pay for the shipping," hearing that made me grin and I immediately nodded, "Yes! I'll take it." I agreed and was given a paper to fill out. "The total with shipping is $956." Of course it was. I know it'll be worth it though. I agreed and signed a few papers before the worker took the sculpture from its display and into the back.
I put my card in just in time before Vinny came back. I took it out quickly and smiled at him. "Find anything else you like?" I asked him and he shrugged. "Nah, not really. They do have some cool stuff though- oh, guess someone bought that sculpture." I looked at him and frowned, "Yeah, love. someone came and got it just as you went to the bathroom. I'm sorry" He shrugged and took my hand in his "It's fine. It's just like you said anyway, I wouldn't have anywhere to put it. We go home soon. Besides, imagine just carrying that thing around when unloading our stuff? In the airport? You're right, it wouldn't have been a good idea." I nodded and raised his hand to kiss the back of it. "We'll find you one, love. I'm sure of it." "Thank you, Eden." he smiled and looked at me, "Hey, let's send a picture to your brother," he laughed, and I nodded, moving close to him so he could take the picture, pressing a kiss to his cheek. I looked as Vinny typed a message along with it.
