I love thee, I love but thee
With a love that shall not die
Till the sun grows cold
And the stars grow old.
----------------------------------------
Seated midst pile of books, Sanskaar's eyes moved back to his wife for the hundredth time...and refused to leave her sight. It brought him back the very first and vivid memory of her in the same library.
Fairy, he thought then. Now, pitted against rich hues of red blended with oranges of the dipping sun, draped in a colourful saree, she looked like a little rainbow, sunkissed rain, drizzling on his heart ...as always
-------------------------
They were engaged in a close-knit ceremony, midst happy faces. Sekhar and Sharmistha stood at one end watching their' Shona', her face, a reflection of happiness. Holding hands, they smiled through tears. Their daughter got lucky in love too, after a period of suffering which was no secret to them.
Same could be said to Annapurna Maheswari who had been sole witness to the pain of her son all these months. Now a look at his beaming face, she couldn't be happier... as Durgaprasad Mahswari who received the story late. Yes! He had been angry over Sanskaar decision to call off his engagement with Kavita only till he knew the back story. And it made all sense. Nothing above his child's happiness.
Laksh was happiest for his brother and was thankful he hadn't been bitten by love bug yet. Gosh! So much tragedy before a happy ending ...not his type.
Kavita stood at one end holding her two months old baby. She couldn't help shed some happy tears. Her two best friends ...together in love. She didnt want more. Her eyes brimming with tears and smiling, She turned to her husband Sahil, next to her. And as always she didnt have to say, He gently wrapped her into a loving embrace... He had been no stranger to Kavita's guilt-ridden days as she held herself responsible for all the emotional mess Swara and Sanskaa landed in. He played his part when Kavita came up with a plan. He knew, what this union meant to her. He smiled back, his eyes implying 'I know.'
Sidhaant stood watching his daughter and son in law. He did his best, not to turn emotional rather he reflected on turn of events. He was mad at Sanskaar and threatened to sever all ties with Maheswari's at his absurd decision. Times changed. Now, A look at his daughter's happy married life, he felt thankful. And somewhere, he understood Sanskaar's choice and slowly Sekhar's choice too.
Love above all.
All ill feelings he harboured towards Bose Family died slowly... and Swara who had been at receiving end of his cruel taunts was the 'same' who chose to suffer on account of Kavita's happiness when all it would have taken was a 'Yes' from her to Sanskaar. And he felt something change within him. It was the same change which prompted him to apologize. He offered a rightful share of the property to the Sekhar, a long due action ...which Sekhar refused politely.
"Give me my brother back! That should do." He said.
Sidhant didnt insist knowing Sekhar but had been adamant on one request. They would perform all rituals at Roy Mansion and be their guests for a while. A perfect time for his brother and Bhabhi set foot back into the house after years.
An auspicious ceremony of engagement marked the occasion.

This bud of love by summer's ripening breath, May prove a beauteous flower when next we meet'
----------------
Engaged yet in no hurry to marry Swara and Sanskaar had a long courtship period, making up for all lost moments. Given their nature, they took it slow..real slow. Step at a time.
This time when Swara visited Maheswari Mansion, It was Sanskaar who took her around, holding hands. 'Our Room,' he told her with a soft smile as they stepped into his room which Swara skipped on the first visit. Swara took in the beauty of subtle blue and white shades at once as spaciousness...
" I like it." She smiled back. 'Our room' she added shyly and turned away before he could catch her blushing. He did anyway. He simply took her hand and their fingers entwined at will... a little gesture they came to love. It felt warm, safe and carried a tender feeling they belonged to each other
It was a the library as Sanskaar talked, a lot this time, sharing stories behind each book, Swara's eyes moved to guitar. It wasn't here before. Following the line of her eyes...
"I bought one" Sanskaar admitted sheepishly. "I am taking classes on weekends." He didnt add 'for you'. He didnt have to. Her eyes said it all. She hugged him in silence, his hands came around her ...and nothing felt more heavenly, Just them, two hearts beating in sync.
It was for the first time Sanskaar read her few lines, from, Romeo Juliet ...holding both his favourites close. His love and his life.
-----------------------------
It was after a few days Sanskaar visited Swara's place. When Swara took him around and finally they settled by the stream he could see, it was hard, not in fall in love, with the sight before him.
Moonlit stream, midst starry skies and wafting night breeze and a soft grass bed, far from sounds of city ... and noises. At peace.
It was by the stream they curled against each other, sharing the closest proximity. It was by the same stream he claimed her lips with his own. Her lips parted with a shaky breath and soft sight taking in all secrets, he whispered one after another. Sweet and Tantalizing...and a promise of more.
"I love you, Swara." He uttered those words for the first time, utterly lost in her dazed eyes. Loving each other became natural as breathing ... they didnt feel the need to exchange those three words of love all these days. That night he realised the magic they held which could cast a spell. Floating in a dream-like state Swara murmured back those words of love.
I love you too, Sanskaar.
And he felt 'sukoon 'settle on him...
-----------------------------
After a few months
His fingers delicately traced the line of mangal sutra, the symbol of their sacred bond. It was on the night of their marriage as they lay together ... finally one in all the sense.
"I still can't believe you are mine, Swara ." he murmured kissing her cheek "Feels like a dream."
It indeed felt like one, Swara thought, feeling his breath curling against her skin. Falling in love with him was the easy part; admitting was hard then, but now it came to her like a flow. All the love, a longing she felt for him, the moment pinch of scarlet red adorned her parted hair, the moment they uttered sacred vows around the holy fire ...and the beads against her skin, bonding them in every way. That night brought pleasure ... unleashed all those desires as she drowned in pure, unadulterated joy of becoming 'one'. Above all it was love, they shared in those after moments, simply soaking in each others warmth
"I hope it stays this way," she made a silent prayer. For so long they had longed for each other. At a point, the ait seemed never-ending. Now, She couldn't bear to lose it...
Just like he read, He promised an eternity with a loving kiss on the forehead.
She promised right back.
---------------------------
Months rolled. The phase of Martial bliss ...felt wonderful. And the wish for eternity seemed to be coming true as they found each other deeply in love by each passing day.
"That's very distracting, Mr Maheswari." Swara's complaint dragged Sanskaar out of his reverie. She had never ben immune to his gaze which always made her heart flutter. She had been acting ignorant and trying to focus, but her husband was making it just too hard.
"Ah! I see my plan working." He teased her with a smile. Swara shook her head and reached to little stand at the corner
"No please!" Sanskaar butted in. "Can you please be careful, Mrs Swara Juliet Maheswari. We have a baby coming."Sanskaar pointed. Swara ran her hand softly over her belly which started showing, his hand joined hers. They smiled at each other. The news of a new member coming in definitely filled the entire mansion with a lot of joy. And Swara had been at receiving end of love and care from all sides. ...add her husband's overprotectiveness.
"You have your Romeo husband at service. So aaram se."
"Sanskaar Main teek hoon." Swara protested as he led her to cocuh.
"Lekin main nahi hoon." Sanskaar retorted gently. " I am feeling tense, have all sorts of panic attacks. Please have some pity, my darling wife.No feats please." He ordered in a strict tone and followed it by a kiss.
"I need more bribing " Swara demanded.
Sanskaar raised an eyebrow teasingly. "Craving for my kisses aren't you? It had Swara blushing "Well! He leaned forward brushing her lips softly. "I can keep kissing you for a lifetime and never get tired of it. But you need rest. You have been sitting for too long."
Swara nodded and held his hand. As they walked out. "Read me something nice tonight." Swara murmured leaning on to him. Sanskaar nodded smiling
---------------------------------
That night lying close to his heart... Swara sighed happily at the soft notes in his voice.
My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite.
-------------------------
If this is what falling in love was like, this will be a story she would never want to end.
Of Swara and Sanskaar ... and their love.

Thanks and Love
