Chapter Twelve A Special Visitor
Masako's POV
I rested my forehead on the counter and glanced at my laptop in front of me. LRN was closed, but all of the guys went to work anyways. Usually, I would've been happy to be alone, but that day, not so much. The sky was gray with soon to be rain in them. Just fucking rain already! For some reason, I was really pissed for no reason, well, aside from Emi getting shot by her stupid dad. Why did she have to go? It was only two weeks, so why? Fucking life is a fucking bitch. I had never had good luck with anything. The only time I ever had a friend was in elementary school until I scared her away, and bad things just kept happening after that.
"Masako," said Boss. I looked up at him tiredly. "It looks like you have a new assignment." He was right; my message box was blinking rapidly. I clicked on it and saw the worst possible assignment my teacher could've sent me.
If you could bring back anything in the world, what would it be?
"Uuuuuuuuugh!" I yelled jerking back holding my head in my hands. "Screw this!" I shut my laptop and walked upstairs ignoring Boss's surprised face. "I'm going to take a shower." I went into the bathroom, closed the door and locked it, took off my clothes, turned on the water, and wrapped a towel around my body. My hair was all shaggy and went all over the place as I let it down from my ponytail. Part of it was chopped off to my waist from yesterday's events. My bangs hung over my eyes, and I took off my glasses. I look like a sorry mess. I glanced at the clock on the wall. Four in the afternoon. Better get that assignment done.
"You okay Masako?" asked Boss from downstairs.
"Yeah." I replied. "I'll be done in a few minutes." And so, I took a fifteen minute shower, got out and dried off, put on clean clothes, and ran downstairs.
"Hey Masako!" said Boss.
"Hi." I replied putting my hair into a messy braid and sitting back down to do my assignment on my laptop. But just as I opened my laptop, someone walked into LRN. I sighed exasperatedly and shut my laptop.
"Sorry, but we're not open today." said Boss with his backturned doing dishes. But the person didn't leave. I could tell the person was a girl by her curves and curly brown hair that peeked out of her hood she veiled her face with. She was wearing a black hoodie and black jeans, so basically, she was wearing something I would wear on a daily basis.
"Didn't you hear him?" I asked. "He said-" All of the sudden, it felt as if the temperature dropped fidty degrees, and a cold shiver traveled down my spine. What the hell? She walked closer to me. Boss seemed to sense something was wrong, and he walked over to talk to the woman.
"Ma'am, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but-" Then, he gasped at the sight of her green eyes that shown through the shadows. "It's... It's you!" I cocked my head to the side. Confident to get to the bottom of it, I grabbed her hood and yanked it off revealing her face. Her beautiful jade and emerald eyes, fair, pale skin, long, brown, curly hair that reached her waist; it was all too familiar. There was only two people I knew who looked like that.
"It's you!" I gasped. She widened her eyes at me. What the hell is she doing here?

Riki's POV
Flashback
I took a deep breath as I walked through the corridor of a mansion. I was about to tell Satomi's twin the truth about Satomi. About her death. She's the only family member I know about... The maids had let me in realizing I had to tell her something very important. I knocked on her door.
"Who is it?" she aske from inside.
"It's Riki Yanase." I replied. I heard it go silent in there.
"...Come in." I opened the door and saw her pushing papers and pens to the side of her desk. She looked up at me. "You needed to speak with me?"
"Yeah... It's very... significant." I replied grimly. She seemed to sense that I wasn't happy and narrowed her eyes.
"W-what's wrong?" she asked. This is it...
"Your sister-"
"What about her?!" she yelled standing up and slamming her hands on her desk. I could tell she was nervous about the news she was about to recieve.
"She... she...." A tear trailed down my cheek as I gazed at her. She got the idea. She had connected the dots. Her eyes widened and tears started pouring down her face.
"No... No..." She backed up from her desk and collapsed to her knees and sobbed. More tears escaped from my eyes. Satomi.... Why? Why did you have to leave me?
"Satomi... Satomi..." cried Shizumi. She wiped away her tears and looked at me. "How did this happen?" she demanded in a shaky voice.
"She... She saved me from being shot... And..." I closed my eyes remembering the scene of her death as if it had happened the day before. "And her step father shot her off the cliff." Shizumi's mouth opened in shock.
"No..."
"I'm so sorry..." I mumbled.
"Damn that man!" screamed Shizumi hokding her head in her hands. "I swear... I'm going to make him suffer!" She looked at me with hate and rage in her eyes. "Promise me one thing Riki Yanase... I may not ever forgive you, but, please hunt our stepfather down for her. I will never be abke to rest in peace with him still in this world. I highly doubt you'd be able to either." I nodded and narrowed my eyes.
"You don't even have to tell me." I replied darkly taking my leave.
End of Flashback
I was heading back from work earlier than usual to LRN. The image of Emi being shot was replating over and over reminding me of how the same thing happened to Satomi; well, almost. Being shot by your kin and smiling in the very end. Although, Satomi's body was never acquired. Shizumi probably hated me when I told her months ago about Satomi, but she wanted to help me find Satomi's killer; her stepdad Berfore I knew it, I was already at LRN. I sighed, got out of my car, closed and locked it, and walked into the building.
"Hey, I'm back early today-" When I looked up, the one person I didn't want to see was there. Shizumi Sanazaki.
Masako's POV
Riki dropped his phone in shock and Shizumi looked at him meekly. "R-riki..." she mumbled. How does she know him? Then, Riki picked up his phone and dialed a number.
"Takuto!" he yelled. Pause. "There is a meeting! It's urgent! Come quickly!" Riki hung up and shoved his phone into his pocket while walking towards us. "Why? Why are you here?" he asked Shizumi. She didn't reply.
"Maybe we should wait till the others get here." said Boss placing a hand onto Riki's shoulder. Soon enough, all of the others came, and theu stared at the scene in front of them. Even Takuto gawked.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" Takuto yelled.
"U-um..." murmured Shizumi.
"So?" asked Taiga. I had the feeling that they didn't get along. She chewed on her lip. We made a semi circle around her.
"It's her..." croaked Shizumi. "She's alive."
