When he woke up, you were gone. And the place looked like it had never been lived in. Was it all a dream? He really didn't think so. He begged for it not to be so. But as he searched the area, he found nothing to suggest anyone had ever even resided in the small house. His blood ran cold thinking it could have all been a comatose dream. Yet there was one possibility to prove it wasn't...
The backyard graveyard! He quickly remembered and rushed out to the back. There were many mounds of recently turned dirt. Clearly, it was as he remembered and he hadn't imagined it all. But where did you go? Feitan was both distraught and bored when he returned to his temporary home.
The rest of the Phantom Troupe were now in a new hideout, going through the goods they'd stolen from a heist earlier in the evening. He'd thought about joining in, but lost interest at the idea. Yet, he still had enough adrenaline coursing through him from earlier in the day that he felt like going out on a scouting mission, so he slipped away from the group and headed back out into the night.
Even without using any amount of Nen to conceal himself, Feitan wasn't likely to be noticed. His diminutive stature, the cloak and scarf that covered all but his steel eyes, and his dark hair kept him nearly invisible in the shadows of the evening. If anyone did manage to spot him, they'd likely mistake him for a solitary child of Meteor City. But he wasn't lucky enough to be left alone.
"So, how'd it go?" Phinks' voice made him jump. Clearly, he had been concealing himself.
"She beautiful but blind. She nice but now disappeared." He explained. "Strange."
"That's weird as hell. What do you mean disappeared? Blind? How does a blind girl disappear?"
"She see in rain but it no rain..." He huffed a bit.
"There's gotta be someone else involved, Fei," Phinks used the nickname that normally earned a snarl. But the dark man just looked... darker than normal.
"Not took. Place look un-lived in." Feitan explained. "Never see her again..."
"Well, I guess a loss is a loss, right? That's too bad." Phinks was quickly losing interest. "Wanna hit up the prostitutes?"
Feitan thought for a moment and then nodded. What else was there to do? He had work.
The sun was sinking its way to the end of the horizon- to be swallowed up by the clouds of the end. It was a beautiful view, perfect enough for this cruel world. At least, that was how you remembered it. You couldn't care any less however. Although your nen would allow you to see in the rain, you would never again take in the magnificent moment of this breathtaking view. Never would you see colors again. All because of her.
