A Week Later

Shu's P. O. V

As I sat at the bar the men inside stared at me. As usual, I decided to ignore it. Every time I got a girl to spend the night, they did this. The thing was that for the past week I slept alone. A man, tall and pale with bluish wavy hair and red eyes sat next to me. He always watched me but for once he seemed bold. He smirked at me.

"That woman you took home last week, she was my target you know?"

"You can have her." He chuckled at me.

"You don't mean that do you?"

"I do" I looked at him.

"You haven't slept with any other girl since her and now you say that you don't want her?"

"Yeah" I signaled the bartender for a drink.

"Lucy is her name." I arched a brow at him. "She told you that, the other night. " I looked away from him. "You are a one-night stand type of guy I've learned. This woman you slept with before was something different wasn't she?"

Flashback

I examined the blonde woman next to me as she talked to the bartender. The scent from her was sweet and somehow watching her, I knew I could have her. She may have looked sinful but looking at her face, she was the complete opposite.

"Can you remind me where the hotel you told me about is located?" I smirked.

"Down the street and on the left, there is a hotel named Koi." She looked at me.

"Koi?" I nodded

"Yeah," She smiled but I could tell she wanted to leave. I wanted to as well but not until we had a drink.

"Thanks" I chuckled at the woman.

"I am not going to take advantage of you, you know?"

"I know." She said before she took her shot. "I made a promise didn't I?" Bold. I couldn't help but feel my attraction for her grow. Her cheeks flushed as she took a second shot.

"Is it too strong for you?" She shook her head.

"No, I've had worse"

Now

I took a shot of gin. "She models you know, well does more than that but I guess you do not care about that do you?"

This man annoyed me. "Lucy worked for me that day and considering that her guild had been recently busy I had been lucky. She was a great help to the shop and even made my daughter smile, something she hasn't done in a while. That day, I thought that maybe I could get a little further than just a client and boss relationship but I guess it ended up not working."

"I didn't ask."

"If you want to sleep with her just call her then." A tall and tanned man with a muscular build, long brown hair, and green eyes dressed in a black suit said before he sat on the side of him. "You have her number right?"

"Oh, Kenji" The man shook his head.

"Still the same pervert as always Yaji ." The orangenette glared.

"I prefer Yajirobei." He shook his head. "Anyway I called her again and she is supposed to meet me here." Kenji arched a brow.

"And you look like that why?" He asked the man who had now been frowning.

"Lucy seems to have taken an interest in the man next to me."

"Your chance is higher this time," I said causing the man to perk up. Kenji shook his head.

"You two."

"Oi, I may not have a wife but I still am trying to."

"You just want a one-night stand."

"Well...I thought I did but I think I might like her in more of a special way."

"Dating wise?"

"No, but I want to keep her close." I signaled for another drink. The brunette shook his head.

"For nearly fifteen years I have been happily married."

Yajirobei glared, soon resting his head on the counter. "I was once like that but when I lost her I had nothing. Nothing kept my family happy. I even lost my daughter's happiness. That was until I met Lucy."

He honored her and wanted her only for himself, possessive. Hearing him talk about the woman wanted, somehow caught my attention. "Lucy-chan~" He wined.

"Yes, Takahashi-san" He gasped as he heard the soft voice and turned around. Kenji turned around only to blush. The woman in front of me was the same one from a week ago.

Now that I thought about it, Yajirobei's voice sounds familiar. Was he the man who confessed to Lucy for a week?

"L...L...Lucy-chan" She giggled at the two.

"Hello, I am Heartfilia Lucy and you are?"

"This is Kenji, a childhood friend of mine. " I finished my drink before putting the money for the bill on the counter. That woman was normal after what happened last week? I tried to walk past her without paying attention to her when she gasped.

As I looked at her she quickly looked away from me.

"S..so how is Rie?"

"She is fine but misses you, so do I." Her cheeks darkened before she giggled.

"I missed you guys as well." She seemed off. Was she trying to avoid me? I decided to ignore it. I walked out of the bar and decided to go for a walk. If only I didn't meet her I wouldn't have felt so strange.

Flashback

Lucy ordered another drink. As soon as it was placed in front of her she finished it, soon asking for another one. "I thought you were not good with alcohol," I questioned before I drank another shot.

"It's not as bad as I thought." She signaled for another shot. This one looked different from the one I usually drank.

The bartender sat another glass in front of her. "The usual right?" She nodded. So she has been here before. She arched a brow at me.

"Do you want to try it?" I looked at my drink and took the shot. "Oh well," I took the glass away from her before she could grab it. "Hey"

"You offered it." I began to drink from it. Sweet. I couldn't forget the taste that lingered off of my lips.

Now

I wanted her. Only her. Though, I wanted to be mine, only for a night again.
