MAHAEPISODE – 1

Swara was broken down on the floor of her room and was crying her heart out..

Swara: Ek din nai humari zindagiyan badal kai rakh dii. Yeh sab kia hogya? Mai itni andhi kaisay hogai kai dekh hi na pai kai apnay khud kai hatho sai mai sab kuch tor rai hoon. Bhabhi nai jo kia uski waja sai sab bikhar gaya. Swaragini bikhar, meri himat bikhar gai yeh ghar bikhar gaya log bikhar gaye. Shikwa karo bhi toh kisay karon?

She recalled Sanskar snatching the towel from her hands saying "mere liye koi favour karne ki zaroort nehi hai.."

Sanskaar: "agar aaj Ragini hoti toh tarapti, ki uske jaane kai baad uski behan uss insan sai, jisay Ragini beyhadh mohabbat karti thi, usi Ragini ki behan usko kitni nafrat karti hai.."

How he made her turn harshly grabbing her arm and shouted: "swara you crossed the limit today. How dare you slap my brother ?!!"

Swara almost screamt sobbing loudly..

Sanskar knocked at the locked door from outside..

Sanskaar: Swara kya howa hai? Ham dono baat karsaktay hain.. Darwaza kholo..

But Swara wiped her tears and said: Sanskar mujhe akela chordo please jaao yahan sai! Please chale jaao yahan sai..

Sanskar: Swara..

Swara shouted: Jaao!

Sanskar looked at the door and then down.. he went away..

Swara cried again hiding her face in the lap..

A lifeless Swara opened the wardrobe taking out a frame from it.. she looked at it.. it was a picture of Ragini and Laksh and Swara and Sankar from RagLak wedding..

Swara caressed it and then looked on while Ragini's voice echoed in her mind..

"Swaragini ki takat ko koi nehi hara sakta.."

She wiped her tears and went in front of the mirror with a serious face..

Swara: Swaragini ki takat ko koi nehi hara sakta.. Jo bura hona tha wo ho chuka hai. Abh aur nehi, Ragini ka Laksh Lucky banchuka hai. Toh Lucky ke liye mujhe Ragini ki Shona ban na hoga.

She turned and went back to the opened wardrobe and saw her old clothes... she picked a dark green jumper suit and looked on..

ROYAL COLLEGE

Ragini came out of the auditorium and picked her bag... she opened it to put her music notes inside when she saw a letter there...

Ragini came out in the end of the corridor opening the letter... her eyes got bigger seeing that it's written with blood.

'I HAVE RETURNED FOR YOU'

Ragini started to shiver... she crumbled the letter and threw it away crying.

Ragini: kaun hai yeh insan aur kyu para hua yeh humaray peechay! Kaun wapis aa gaya hai! kya karein ab hum!

Laksh, who was looking at Ragini while she was crying, punched the pillar..

Laksh: yaar yeh roti ku hai? Har wakt roti rehti hai, aur roti yeh hai farak mujhay parta hai. Lagta hai isko iskay maa baap nai sivaye ronay kai kuch nahi seekhaya warna koi insan 1 minute mai itna nehi ro sakta. Lucky mein keh raha hoon ja jakay party kar roti hai toh roti rahe!

He turned around to go but he couldn't move ahead, his heart was stuck in her tears. He gritted his teeth and looked back and saw another tear making its way on her cheek..

He felt terrible seeing her crying.

A student at the same time was passing with a tray of powder colour packets.

Laksh: aii hello kidhar?

Student: play ke liye colours laiky ja raha hoon..

Laksh took the tray from him: abhi iski zada zarorat mujhay hai!

Student: par sir ko kia kahon ga?

Laksh: bol daina Lucky needed them aur jab Lucky ko kuch chai hota hai toh kisi ki nehi chalti!

Laksh with full style went towards ragini and placed the tray down, he touched the tips of his hands and dipped them in the colours bringing his both hands towards Ragini whose back was facing him..

Ragini at the same time turned and laksh put the pink colour on both her cheeks. Ragini looked at him stunned... As his hands made a contact to her skin both of them got an old flash of a girl and boy putting colours on each other's cheeks..

Laksh was stunned too why was she so damn familiar. Her eyes, the tears in them, the innocence in them. Her face everything about her reminded him of someone but who?

Ragini cried looking at him thinking "jab bhi musibat mai hotay hain toh yeh ajatay hain akhir kia rishta hai insay"

Laksh chain if thoughts ended when he saw her crying: ajeeb ho tum Meena Kumari ki tran roti rehti ho? Ismay ronay ki kia baat hai yeh sab maine tumhay hasanay keliye kia. And dont worry yeh colour permanent nehi hai, tumhari baby skin ko kuch nehi hoga.

Laksh: Tum Lucky kehna kab seekho ghi?

Ragini: itna acha naam hai apka laksh ap khud ko baar baar Lucky kyu kehtay hain?

Ragini realized what she said but before Laksh could say anything Ragini's phone rang up flashing 'Dadi Maa Calling'

Both Laksh and Ragini looked at her mobile screen and Ragini covered her mouth in fear..

Laksh was amused this time: come on Ragini dadi hi toh hain! school ki khadoos principle thori na hain!

Ragini made an angry bird face: Laksh phir mazak? - She made a crying face - hum phone nehi utha saktey warna Dadi Maa ko pata chal jayega kai hum pareshan hain..

All the Maheshwari's except Swara were in the hall when a servent came and went to Dp: Bade Malkin Sa, ek family aai hai bahar.. andar bheju?

Swara put a hand on the railing and tighted the grip over it.. she was witnessing all with no expression on her face..

Dp: Parineeta, Ragini is ghar ki bahu nehi beti thi! Aur tumhe koi adikaar nehi hai uske baare mai kuch bolne ka! Voh Laksh ki patni thi, hai aur hamesha rahe ghi!

Rp: Bhaisa thik keh rahe hai.. Laksh ki shaadi ho chuki hai, dusri shaadi karva kr zindaghyoon aur rasmoon kai sath khel nehi sagte.

Parineeta: To aapki Ragini hai kaha? Mujhe to nazar nehi aa rahi.. aur kaha ka pyaar.. voh jo Laksh khud mitana chahte the aur vohi jo Ragini ko khud nehi yaad? Aap bhool rahe hai, aaj hamare sath Lucky hai, Laksh nehi! Aur Lucky ke liye Divya chahi hai, Ragini nehi!

Swara raised an eyebrow..

Sanskar: Bhabhi aap aisa soch bhi kaise sagte hai? Laksh Ragini se pyaar karta hai.. aur Ragini ki jagah koi nehi lai sagta, na is ghar mai aur na hi Laksh ki zindaghi mai!

Parineeta looked away indifferent on his words..

Adarsh: Parineeta abhi bhi tumare paas waqt hai.. hamare ghar mai vapis aa gai ho lekin iska matlab yeh nehi ki hamare ghar ke faisle tum le sagti ho! Please.. stop it! - he folded his hands in front of her slamming them..

She went out of the room...

She came on the top of the stairs and shouted: BAS! BOHAT HO GAYA TAMASHA BAHBHI!

All looked at her and got surprised to see her in her old attire..

Swara came downstairs and looked straight at mr. and mrs. Singhania and their daughter.. she showed them a finger and threatened them, gritting her teeth: Ek minute hai aapke pas.. chup chap yahan sai nikal jaaye, warna anjaam acha nehi hoga.

Mr. Singhania looked at Parineeta: Agar bezzat hi karna tha to bulaaya kyu? Hame nehi rakhna aise ghar se koi rishta! Jaha bado ki respect bhi nehi ki jaati!

Saying this he held his wife and daughter's hands and dragged them outside..

Swara didn't even looked back at them.. she just kept glaring with rage in her at Parineeta holding the hockey stick..

Sanskar went to her and grabbed her arm: Yeh kya hai swara? Ho kya gaya hai tumhe?

Swara kept her eyes on Parineeta and, ignoring Sanskar, went towards Parineeta..

Parineeta was fuming: Tumari himmat kaise hui Swara hamare mehmano ko yu bezzat karney ki?! Tameez kaha gai tumari!?

She raised her hand and was about to slap Swara when this latter held her hand: Abh nehi Bhabhi.. abh nehi!

She threw her hand away and hit Parineeta's leg with the hockey stick making her fall..

All got shocked.. Annapurna covered her mouth with a hand while Sujata's eyes got bigger..

Sanskar: Swara!!

He went to her but stopped getting shocked as Swara started beating Parineeta with the hockey stick..

Parineeta screamt..

Adarsh: Swara yeh kya kar rahi ho!

Both Sanskar and Adarsh went to Swara trying to stop her but she pushed them and kept beating Parineeta: Aaj nehi Sanskar aaj nehi! Inki itni himmat kai meri behan ki jagah kisi aur ko daina chaha?! Aaj nehi chodu ghi inko!

Sanskar tried to hold her: Swara calm down, ruk jao!

But Swara pushed him away and shouted again: Meri Ragini ki jagah! Meri behan ki jagah!!

Sujata: Yeh ka kar rahi ho chori! Tara dimaag hil gaya hai ka!

Annapurna: Swara bas karo! Voh log chaley ghe hai, baat ko itni mat barao! Band karo yeh sab!

Dp: Sanskar Swara ko roko!

Swara, continuosly hitting Parineeta: Aaj nehi choro ghi aapko Bhabhi! Aap hoti kon ho meri behan ki zindaghi se jure faisle laine wali!!

Parineeta: Swara pagal ho gai ho tum! Ham tumse umar aur audhey mai barey hai!

Swara: toh barapan dekhati na bhabhi! Aap to itni ghir gai!

Sanskar grabbed Swara's arm and stopped her shaking her: Swara hosh mai aao! Kya kar rahi ho!

Swara: mera bas chalay toh mai inko isay bhi bari saza doon . Kyu kai iss ghar mai aaj tk jo bhi howa hai wo inho nai kia hai!!!

She shouted.

Swara: inho nai Laksh ki gari kai brakes fail kiye yeh Ragini aur Laksh ka accident karana chahti thi aur tumpai ilzam lagana chahti thi magar laksh sai wo accident ho gaya aur aaj hum sb aisay jee rahe hai!

Everyone got shocked..

Adarsh, who was helping Parineeta to get up: Swara! Maana ki Parineeta ne galat kiya hai lekin itna bada ilzaam..

Sanskaar: tumhay andaza hai tum kya keh rai ho?

Swara: Pure hoshoon awaaz mai keh rahi hu!

Annapurna: Swara!.. tum kehna chahti ho ki is ghar kai dukh aur barbaadi ka karan Parineeta hai?!

Parineeta: pehlay toh tum laksh pai ilzam lagati thi aur ab humpai? Tumhara demag theek ni hai. Mummy ji papa ji sanskaar iss swara ko pagal khanay bhejwaye!

Swara glared at parineeta: jhoot ki umar bhi choti hi hoti hai bhabhi!

Sujata: Arey konsa jhoot! Kaisa jhoot! Hosh mai aao Swara! Ke bol rahi hai! Parineeta aise kaise kr sagti hai!

Dp: Pehle hame uski baat sun laini chahi hai.. hame pura yaqeen hai Swara itni badi baat aise nehi bol sagti..

Swara: Thanks Bade Papa.. aur haan.. mein yeh sab aise hi nehi bol rahi hu.. mere paas sabut hai.. - she looked at the stairs - andar aa jao!

All looked at the stairs... a man came there..

Sanskar immediately recognized him: Tum! Bade Papa yeh vohi mechanic hai jisne gari kai brakes fail kiye aur Laksh ka naam liya tha!

Swara: Jhoot tha voh! ab yeh sach btaye ga..

Parineeta got nervous..

Mechanic: sach yehi hai ki inho ne hi hame paise diye the mr. Laksh Maheshwari ka naam bolne ke liye.. jabke brakes fail bhi inho ne karvaai thi!

he indicated Parineeta leaving all shocked..

Parineeta nervously look at adarsh: wo adarsh ji..

And a slap by adarsh made her stunned. She looked at him with a hand on her cheek..

Adarsh: gir toh tum pehlay hi bohat gai thi magar iss hadh tak gir jao gi yeh maine socha na. Apnay badaly keliye tumnay meray bhai aur bechari ragini unn becharon ka kia kasoor tha?!

Parineeta shouted: Aur jo humaray sath galat howa? Har wakt swara har wakt ragini. Humay neecha dekhatay thy, dono humsay choti hain magar inho nai bhi humay thapar maray. Apnay humay ghar sai nikala itna bezzat kiya!

Sujata moved towards parineeta and slapped her too..

Sujata: toh kai chori? Thapar mara toh thari kaali kartooton pai mara, toh kai jaan lai gi dono ki? Yeh tunay acha na kiya parineeta mara chora aur swara sath reh kai bhi alag hogye aur laksh aur ragini becharay toh..

Parineeta: tab ap sab ku ni bolay chachi ji jab humaray sath nainsafi howi?

Annapurna angrily made her turn around grabbing her arm and slapped her..

Parineeta was shocked: Mummy ji aap bhi,

Annapurna: Chup! Ek dam chup! – she shouted showing her a finger - mein hamesha sochti thi kai aisi kia galti kardi jiski saza mai mera laksh aur wo pyari bachi ragini kai sath yun howa. Aj pata chala kai meri sabsay bari galti tum thi parineeta tum thi!

Parineeta felt hurt.

Annapurna sternly: adarsh iss aurat ko iss ghar sai bahar phenk doo!

Adarsh grabbed Parineeta's hand and started to drag Parineeta who was just walking behind him too hurt to react..

Suddenly Swara held Parineeta's hand and stopped them.. she went in front of them..

Swara: nahi adarsh bhaiya aj ni, aek aur galti hum ni karein gai

Parineeta is stunned..

Adarsh: par swara isnay itnay khel khelay

Swara: apnay bhi toh gunah hi kia tha adarsh bhaiya jab apnay parineeta bhabhi ko dhoka dia tha jab wo maaf karsakti hain toh ap ku nahi? Aur bhabhi ko jo saza milni thi voh mil chuki hai..

Sujata: chori thara demag kharab hogya hai yeh ghar toota hai iss parineeta ki waja sai. Aj thari behan humari ragini yahan na sai aur tu iss ko mauka dai rai hai!

Swara: mom aj bhabhi ko iss ghar sai nikal dia toh yeh kabhi ni samjhein gi kai inki waja sai sab kuch bikhar gaya hai..

Swara faced parineeta: gunah nai toh ragini nai bhi kia tha bhabhi magar uskay gunah karnay ki waja sirf laksh ka pyar tha. Usnay kabhi laksh kai parivaar ko takleef phonchana ni chahi. Haan magar apnay parivvar ko phonchai mujhay phonchai. Magar aek bari behan ki tran maine usko sahi aur galat ka farak btaya aur jab usko ehsas howa ns bhabhi tb jitni galtian usnay ki thi na usay bhi kahi zada achay kaam kiye jinka muqabla shaid mai bhi ni karsakti. Maafi mangi sabsay. Aj aek choti behan ki tran apko bhi bta rai hoon apnay gunahon ki maafi mangiye.. dair sai hi sahi sab apko mauka daein gai.

Parineeta looked down and cried..

Swara: aur ap mujhsy aur ragini sai itna insecure ku thi? Ku kai ap iss parivaar ko aek bacha ni dai sakti thi? Par bhabhi ap adopt bhi toh karsakti thi na adarsh bhaiya apka sath daitay. Kia godh lia howa bachay keliye apki mamta kum hojati? Ap ku ni samjhti bhabhi kai humay kai baar khushian milti hai par wo hunaray naseeb mai ni hoti. Mai bachpan sai apny baba keliye tarsi aek parivaar keliye tarsi wo sab mila bhi magar chin gaya. Aj apki waja sai maa ne shocks aur tension ki vajah se apna baccha kho diya.. aaj na maa baba sath hai na mai aur sanskaar aur toh aur ragini aur laksh..

She sat on the sofa and sobbed loudly

Swara: sab tabah hogya bhabhi sab kuch

Everyone looked down. Parineeta joined her hands in front of all, not able to look in their eyes, realizing her fault..

Parineeta: hum maafi kai laik ni hain magar hosakay toh maaf kardeejay..

Meanwhile..

Laksh while having colours in one hands and playing with his kea ring parked his bike in MM parking area while his thoughts were consumed with ragini. He smiled like an idiot and looked at the packet of color.. he never thought that colours can be so beautiful.

Swara was still sobbing when sanskaar sat on the other sofa and forwarded a hankie towards her. Swara looked up and cried

Swara: tum theek kehtay that sanskaar mai apna point prove karnay keliye kuch bhi karti hoon aur agar uss din mai apni behan ko ghar sai bahar na nikalti toh wo sab na hota..

Sanskaar hugged swara: mai bhi tumhay ni samjha swara i am sorry..

Laksh entered running through the stairs: maa lucky is back!!

Everyone looked at him and swara and sanskaar stood up, laksh saw swara in her modern clothes and got a clear flash of swara from the past. He came down as he stumbled on some stairs falling towards and the packet of colours teared up and fell on swara.. the pink powder filled Swara's face then fading in the air..

Laksh was shocked and scared as now swara will make his life hell..

Laksh 'tu toh gaya lucky itna acha mood tha ab swara bhabhi teri band bjaye gi jaisay surf excel kapro ko dhota waise ab teri bhabhi tujhay dhoye gi'

Laksh looking down: wo bhabhi wo sorry paoo slip hogya tha

Swara walked up to him..

Sanskaar: swara just listen to me..

Swara went to laksh and raised her hand.. laksh closed his eyes as he thought that he will get a slap but swara placed her hand on laksh's face, laksh opened his eyes stunned..

Sanskar smiled

Laksh: swara bhabhi ap gusa ni ho? Sorry.. voh..

Swara: sorry toh mujhay kehna chai for everything, for my past behaviour

Laksh gaped listening to it.. he got excited..

Laksh: i knew it bhabhi ap bhi lucky kai charms sai zada dair bach ni paein ghi!

Swara remembered laksh and ragini happy moments and felt helpless for them..

Swara: laksh tum bhi na..

Laksh: what bhabhi? Ap bhi? Jabsay wo bhenji nai mujhy laksh kehna start kiya hai na everybody calls me laksh.

Swara was scared: kaun bhenji?

Laksh: hai aek bhajan keertan version.. usi sai mujhay yaad aya mai apna id toh college hi bhool gaya.

Laksh to ap: maa mai shaam ko aoo ga!

He went while swara kept thinking 'kahi laksh ki zindagi mai koi aur larki toh ni. Nahi mujhay maa sai baat karni hogi.. ragini ki jaga koi ni laisakta'

With that she went out of the house almost running..

Later..

Swara, as everyday, was knocking continuosly at Dida's house's door... but as everyday Sharmishta wasn't opening..

Swara: Maa! Maa please darwaaza kholo! Maa aapki shona aai hai! Maa!

At the same time..

Ragini was passing out of the baadi: Yeh Laksh bhi na.. kya zaroort thi itna rang waste karne ki, abh hame play ke liye nae laane pade ghe.. kaha sai le..

Swara: Maa please at least Ragini ke khatir..

The door got immediately opened..

Tears rolled down from Swara's eyes: Maa..

She moved ahed to hug her but Sharmishta stepped back: kya hua meri Rago ko?

Swara looked at her hurt.. but then wiped her tears and said: Maa voh..

Suddenly a sound of drums echoed in the baadi..

Swara turned around just to see some men playing the drums followed by few goons..

Also Ragini turned around to look at the baadi hearing the noise..

The goons went to Sharmishta.. Swara gulped down recalling what happened when Dp and goons came in baadi and insulted her family..

Sharmishta: A.. aap log yaha kya kar rahe hai?

Goon: Tumare liye hi aaye hai Sharmishta Bose..

Sharmishta: Sharmishta Gadodia!

Goon: jab pati ke sath hi nehi rehti to pati ke naam sai kya?!

Swara: chahte kya ho aap log?!

Goon: Is samaj pai jo aisi auratoon ki vajah se kalank laghe hai, unhe mitana hai!

A goon spoke from behind: Hamne to suna tha aapki pehli shaadi bhi toot gai thi aur abh dusri bhi!

Another goon: Haan Haan! Aise aurat hamare samajh mai nehi reh sagti!

Sharmishta and Swara were shocked and were looking around afraid.. while the neighbours were coming out and whishpering in each other's ears..

A goon came ahed and was about to blacken Sharmishta's face, who was backing off, when Swara came in front of her and shook her head gulping down..

Swara: Aap aisa nehi kar sagte.. yeh hamare parivaar ka mamla hai.. meri Maa ko chod di jiye, chale jaye yaha se!

Goon: Chori hat ja hamare raaste se!! Aisi aurat ko saza milni chahi hai!

Swara: Nehi! Maa ko hath bhi mat lagana! Please chod do!! Chaley jaaye!

Ragini heard the voices coming from baadi..

Ragini: akhir baadi mai ho kya raha hai?..

She went towards the baadi and stopped on the entrance to see what was happening.. she got shocked seeing people torturing Sharmishta trying to blacken her face..
