" So Mihi, What's so good in this college? " asked he encircling his arm around her neck.

She looked at him sideways. " You transferred here, without knowing about the college? "

" My dad made me do that. Otherwise, he gonna make my life hell" said he dramatically.

" Why? " she asked confused.

He shrugged his shoulders in nonchalance. " I don't know and I don't really care. I am here to have fun, nothing else."

He winked at her and she laughed. " I think we are going to be very good friends then "

" Is that so? " he cocked his head and she smirked. " Yupp..!! "

" O...Kayyyy...!! So, would be good friend...I can ask you something! " he said wiggling his eyebrows.

" I like the sound of that. So, yaa..you can ask me anything buddy. " she said chuckling.

" So, what's the matter with Ms. Know-It-All ? " he tried to act nonchalance but the curiosity in his eyes can be seen easily.

" She is a bookworm, that's the matter. " she replied tried to avoid explaining more.

He looked at her in confusion. " Her book was dripping wet. I don't think any book lover would do that with their books! "

" You noticed..! " she looked at him surprised and he nodded.

"Karan did that..!! " she said annoyed. "He always bullies her" There was a hint of anger in her tone.

" Why? " asked he confused.

" He proposed her on last valentine and she rejected his offer. He took it on his ego and from the time, he is behind her. "

" From now on, he gonna watch his back. Because, I'll be behind her" said he smirking.

She looked at him surprised. " And why so? "

" O Come On...!!! It's going to be so much fun to bully a bully. " he said devilishly.

She laughed. " Not a bad idea. But a risky one. " she pointed out. " He is the most popular guy in this college. "

" I don't like easy things, Baby..!! " he said smirking.

" Ewww.. cringy. I prefer, buddy over baby. " she said making faces.

" Damn..!! You just rejected me.. !! I thought, you were falling for me. " He said feigning heartbreak.

She chuckled. " I like you like a guy, but you are not my type of guy. "

" I am feeling insulted, dude. " He said dramatically and she laughed.

" Come, let me give you a tour of your new college. " she said chuckling and he too laughed and joined her.

Ragini was feeling so irritated right now. It's been an hour and the pages of her book still wet.

" I am gonna kill that bloody Karan..!!" she shouted frustrated.

" Woohaaaa...!! You are remembering me...!" came a voice from behind and she shut her eyes annoyed.

" Can you please leave me alone!! " asked she blowing a puff of air out of her mouth.

" You know, I can't " he said smirking.

" Why Karan..!! It's been so long. You need to move on from that thing and let me live my life peacefully. " She tried to keep herself as calm as possible.

He moved closer to her and put her hair lock behind her ear. " Seeing you every time makes me realize, why I can't move on, Ragini. "

The seriousness in his voice made her shudder.

" Don't make it ugly, Karan. You always knew that we can't be together. " she said in a very low voice.

" I just want to know the reason." he inched closer to her more and she took a step back.

" I don't see you that way. That should be enough reason. " she tried in her brave voice but failing miserably.

" Your words don't match with your eyes, Ragini, which made me more determine, to know the actual reason" his eyes getting moist as he tried hard not to let his emotions overpower.

" Please karan...! " she said as a lone tear escaped her eyes.

He was about to wipe that off when a sharp voice made him freeze.

" Take a step back, before I punched the shit out of you Karan. " Mihika was standing there, putting both her hands on her waist, glaring at him.

He took a few steps back and Ragini wiped her tear immediately.

She stormed towards them and stood between Ragini and Karan like a wall, folding her arms around her chest.

" She had cried enough because of you. No need to add more points here. " said she sharply.

" Miku..Please..don't..." Ragini tried but she shushed her.

" Enough is enough Ragu. You asked me, not to involve in your matter in public. But no one is here. And Nobody...Not even my Ex-best friend, has the right to make my sister cry."

There was a pain in her voice but it was as sharp as a knife. Karan looked at her sadly.

" Mihika...I know I hurt you and I am sorry for that but I........." Karan tried to say something but she cut him off with a hollow laugh.

"Your sorry doesn't mean anything to me, karan. "

They both have an eye lock. There was so much hurt, pain and sadness in their eyes. Karan nodded, took a few steps back, looking at both sisters and then left from there.

Ragini put her hand on her shoulder and she shut her eyes to hold her tears.

" I am sorry Miku. Because of me, you lost your best friend. " Ragini said sadly.

She cupped her face in her palm. " Hey, Ms. know-it-all. Don't say that. What he did to you that day, he doesn't deserve to be my friend. "

" But, he regretted..."

" I don't wanna talk about him Ragu, Please...!!! " she requested and she nodded.

" So, Are you up for tonight's movie marathon? " Mihika asked excitedly.

" Our mid-terms are coming Miku. Don't you have to study. " she said narrowing her eyes.

" You are there naa.. !! Why I have to study then. " she said wiggling her eyebrow.

" I am not going to give you my notes, this time. Dad was so disappointed with me last time when he thought, I didn't have notes for the exams and you have. " She said pouting angrily, showing her back to her.

Mihikaa laughed and encircled her arms around her neck. " But you saved me that time. He was just disappointed with you, but he would kill me, if he knew that it was your notes which I have. "

" That's true. " Ragini said chuckling.

" And that's why you are the best sister in the world. " Mihikaa shouted happily and both laughed.

" You didn't mention, you being her sister, my would be good friend. " came his voice from behind making them sober up.
