Hayden POV

I walked into Majesty Records drinking my latte as I saw Charlie there as I smiled and walked to him

"Hey Hayden" he told me as I smiled at him and told him hey as he came stand in front of me

"How's your dog?" He asked me as I laughed and smiled

"He's good, he misses you." I told him as he smiled back at me

"I miss him too I think i'm falling for you dog" he told me and leaned on the janitors cart but he fell over as I giggled at him

"Somebody will Somebody will clean that up" he told me standing up

"Somebody like the janitor?" I asked him still smiling as I walked away patting his shoulder

"That's me I should probably get started on that" I heard him say as I gave him one last look laughing as I walked away

I was with Tony as we were following Charlie to this Junk/Pawn shop

"And why are we following this kid?" Tony asked me as I smiled

"I don't know There's just something about him" I told Tony smiling to myself

"OMG He's so dreamy" Tony mocked me as I rolled my eyes

"Just keep the engine running." I told Tony walking out the limo as I walked into the store and heard Charlie playing the piano he was amazing

"Not bad for a janitor" I teased him walking up to him

"Thanks, i.. i was just messing around. Why are you here anyway? Did you follow me here?" He asked me as I scoffed

"I didn't follow, i was just Looking for some creepy stuff for my room" I told him looking around the shop to see some strange thing

"Uh uh" he told me as I rolled my eyes and looked around

"What are you doing here? You come to some pawn shop to play a ratty old piano, what's that about?" I asked him as he smiled at me

"It's my mom's." He told me as my eyes widened

"And more gorgeous, it cannot be." I told him as he chucked and gestures for me to sit down as I smiled and did

"Thanks. I should say it was my mom's. Once upon a time." He told me

"So, your mom's gone?" I asked him with sincerity as he nodded

"My stepdad used the piano money to buy karaoke machine." He told me as I looked with Sympathy

"Sorry, Charlie" I told him as he started playing the piano as I smiled at him

"Why don't you let a professional handle this" I told him as he laughed at me and I began playing

"My mom died too." I told him as he started at me

"I'm sorry, i didn't know."  He told me as I smiled weakly

"How could you? I don't wear the "My mom died" T-Shirt much these days." I joked as he laughed

"You have one too?"he asked me as I laughed

"It's good to talk to somebody who understand" I told him as he started playing the piano again and I looked at the lyrics

I sang lying my head on his shoulder as he smiled at me as we started singing together as I smiled

When we finished we smiled at each other

"That was fun. What were you playing before?" He asked me as smiled

"That was just a little bit of a song i wrote." I told him

"So those were your songs i got wet the other day?" He asked me

"Don't worry, they stayed all in one piece." I told him pulling out my song book

"Can I?" He asked as I gave him the pages as he read them

"These lyrics are great. Why haven't i heard you sing songs like these?" He asked me as I scoffed

"Right, my dad would go nuts. They don't exactly fit the Hayden Chase Brand. But maybe someday i will." I told him as he got up and I followed him

"No, you need to do it today. I want to take you some place Do you Trust me ." He asked me standing by the door

Ever since i was a little girl My dad always told me Hades, trust the janitor." I told him sarcastically as I went by the door

"I trust you." I told him sincerely as we were about to leave but I was stopped by Bernie

"Miss Chase For my kid. Make it out to Bernie." He told me giving me a pen and paper as I looked at him smiling

"For my kid. Named Bernie" he finished as I laughed giving as Charlie and I walked out to Tony

"Princess, subway is one block away." Charlie told me as I followed him then stopped hearing Tony

"Hayden , your dad's not gonna like it." Tony scolded at me

"He's also not gonna like you're using his Yankee tickets without him knowing." I told Tony as his face changed

"You two enjoy yourselves." Tony told me as we walked and left

"You're gonna need this." He told me putting on his hat on my head and wrapping his leather jacket around me we made it to the subways as I smiled

"This is great I've never rode the subway before" I told him looking around as I tried to grab the pole

"You might want to wear these" he told me as he gave me a glove "But seriously you've never rode the subway" he asked me as I shook my head and took a picture

"Believe it or not most people would chose to take a private limousine" I told him as we finally made it to the park

"So This is the spot." He told me as we sat down

"Here?" I asked him slightly frightened to see we were in the middle of the park

"It's perfect. And no one will know it's you." He told me putting giving me his sunglasses

"That makes me feel a lot better." I told him sarcastically as I put them on and he took a cup out and began playing his ukulele

"Ladies and gentlemen, i would like to" he started off but I pulled him back

"Charlie, no" I told him begging to fell nervous fidgeting with my fingers

"I can't do it." I told him as he scoffed

"70,000 screaming fans, you're good to go. 8 tours and you got a problem" he asked me sarcastically as I nodded my head okay and grabbed my song book looking for " Last One Standing"  as he started strumming and a crowd started to form

That's when everyone started clapping as Charlie started singing with me as I smiled standing on the bench clapping as well

That's when Charlie started Scatting as he squeezed my hand as we walked on the bench

"Okay. Break it up. Move on, or i'll give you a ticket." I heard a female cop say as we all groaned and walked away and Charlie gave me a cup full of money

"Here you go" I told a man giving me a cop of money we made

"You gotta keep this. First dollar you make from your own music." He told me taking out the dollar bill as I took it

"No no, you put that back in there." The man said pointing to the cup

"Thanks, Charlie." I told him putting the dollar back in the cup

"You're good.You should do this for a living"the man told me gesturing to my singing and dancing as Charlie and I looked at each and laughed as I thanked him as we saw the bus leaving

"No no.. Wait wait! Come back, hold the bus!
Come on, i got it!" Charlie told me as we ran to the bus

"Wait! Come on! Hey, one second. Thank you." We yelled at the bus finally stopped

"My first time riding the bus smile" I told Charlie as we took a picture as I looked at it

"I can't believe i just did that" I told him as we were finding a space to stand

"You were awesome." He told me as I smiled at him as I took his glasses of

"I haven't felt like that performing in so long Thank you, Charlie." I told him as we were kinda close to each other

"My pleasure" he told me as I reached in my bag

"Let me pay you back somehow." I told him as he denied and I gave him a invitation to my birthday tomorrow

"Here I want you to come to my party
my dad's throwing for my sweet 16" I told him handing him the invitation

"Really?" He asked me as I nodded

"It's gonna be amazing Except i'll be working and have to miss out on all the fun." I told him as the bus ran over a bump and Charlie and I noses were touching as we looked at each other and leaned in when I heard a woman and pulled away

"Wait! Are you Hayden Chase? Can i have your autograph?" The old woman asked me as I pulled away from Charlie

"Sure" I smiled at her as I signed the book she gave me

"It's Hayden Chase" the woman yelled as people were filing to get my autograph as I look at Charlie and smiled

"Come on let me take you somewhere else" Charlie told me as I saw we pulled up to a burger shop I can't eat burgers

We walked into the place as I felt uncomfortable as we sat down and Charlie order us burgers and fries he was eating as he noticed I wasn't

"What are you like Vegan or something" he asked me as I shook my head and picked up the burger and took a bite as I hummed in satisfaction it's been so long since I've had meat

"Whoa you've never had a burger before" he joked as I looked at him and he stopped laughing

"How long has it been since you've eaten meat" he asked me as I swallowed the food

"Ok today is Friday so maybe" I started thinking counting on my fingers "3 years" I finally told him as he looked at me

"Three years why" he asked me as I looked at him

"It's the industry they put pressure on you to look a certain way, sing a certain way, basically do everything there way I remember one time I practically starved myself just to be the way they wanted me to" I told him as he grabbed my hand as I smiled at him

"It's in my contract I'm not aloud to eat fatty foods my dad would flip if he found out I was here" I told Charlie eating a fry as he looked at me and dipped his fry in his milkshake

"Eww why would you do that to a poor innocent fry" I asked him staring in horror

"Here try it it's delicious trust me" He told me as I looked at him skeptically

"You're sure asking me to trust you a lot" I told him as he held the fry in my face as I ate it and hummed and my glasses case fell out my purse

"You wear glasses" he told me as I nodded and put my head down put he picked my head up and put the glasses on my face

"I'm not supposed to wear them in public because it doesn't fit perfection" I told him as he smiled at me

"Well I think you look beautiful" she told me as we smiled at each other

"Good right" he asked me as I nodded and dipped my fry in my milkshake we kept eating and when we finished we were walking in the park eating ice cream it's been so long since I've eaten ice cream too

"So you got a boyfriend" he asked me as I shook my head eating my ice cream

"What but you Hayden Chase who wouldn't want to date you" He asked me as I looked at him

"That Everyone sees me as Hayden Chase I want someone to date Hades the normal teenager not Hayden Chase pop sensation" I told him as he looked at me

"If it's any constellation I'd date Hades the normal girl not Hayden Chase pop sensation" he told me as I smiled at him and we both leaned in but my phone started ringing breaking us apart as I answered

"Hayden where are you, you need to do some last minute details for your party tomorrow" Irma yelled at me as I told her I'd be there and hung up looking at Charlie

"See you at my party tomorrow" I asked him hopefully

"Hopefully" he told me as I stood on my tippy toes and kissed his cheek walking away

I made it back to Majesty Records with a smile on my face

"What's got you so smiley" Kadee asked me as I just walked away smiling I couldn't wait to see Charlie tomorrow he's the first guy to ever see me as Hades not Hayden Chase

15 years into the future

I closed the book as Skai groaned at looked at me and she gave me a look that could kill

"Why did you stop" she asked me as Charlie and I chucked

"We have to eat breakfast" I told her as I got out the bed

"I can starve" she told me as I laughed and Charlie got up

"How about I go buy breakfast and you finish the story" Charlie told me as Skai nodded and we walked into the living room

"Alright" I told him as Skai ran with the book in her hands and gave it back to me as we sat on the couch but she stopped me

"Daddy why do you love mommy" she asked Charlie before he left he smiled at her

"Well I never cared about her fame and success I loved her because she was beautiful and nice and funny and smart and I saw the girl behind the camera" Charlie told her as I smiled at him and left to go get breakfast as I opened the book and continued reading
