Chapter 20: Plans
A/N: Well, we've reached the halfway point of this story, we have twenty chapters in the book and twenty more to go, that's crazy.
(Normal pov— Fang Nation)
Askari of Ashes knew that if you wanted to advance from a common soldier to a position of privilege, you would need to sacrifice the basic human necessities in order to gain progress. In this case, sleep is what Askari had to sacrifice. He and his fellow flyers had been up all night digging so that they can use their Singetails to descend to the well that held the magical matter that would force the Druun to submit to Drago's ambitions. All throughout the night, Askari didn't sleep, nor did any of his flyers, due to them digging a hole big enough for them and their Singetails to descend and see whether or not this well truly held the key to forcing the Druun to either serve the Northern Alliance or wiping their foul blight off the face of the earth for good.
Finally, after blasting through solid rock and digging all night, Askari had his Singetail descend down the well. Upon entering the mountain itself, the leader of the Dragon Flyers noted how cool it was, the sudden change in temperature caused Askari to shiver lightly. However, what lurked below made the man shield his eyes for but a moment, eventually, his eyes grew accustomed to the bright light and he had his Singetail descend until he was hovering over a lake of silver matter that churned, bubbled, and glowed from within the mountain. Reaching for a vase in a satchel strapped around his torso, Askari scooped enough of the matter beneath him to fill the vase. Taking a deep breath, he then reached a hand inside the vase and soon enough, he felt a sword hilt forming in the palm of his hand, once pulling the hilt out of the vase, eventually a fine blade formed. Letting out a disbelieving chuckle, Askari then urged his Singetail to take him back up to the surface. Once making it outside, the Dragon Flyers looked to Askari and noted the blade he wielded.
"That blade. Where did you get it?"
Turning to his lover, Askari chuckled at Mkali and gestured down below. "The matter formed into a blade," he then whirled the blade in his hand and it burned with silver fire, causing the flyers to murmur in awe amongst themselves. "Finally, we now have an edge against this supposed "unstoppable" force. Once our flyers and allies are armed with weapons that will force the Druun to kneel before mortals, they will make a fine addition to the junta." Chuckling darkly, the leader of the Dragon Flyers gave his orders to his fellow flyers. "Get to work! Take as much of the matter as you possibly can and prepare to fly," he then turned to one of his forward scouts. "Return to the imperial city and inform Drago that we have what he desires." The forward scout nodded, he then mounted his armored Singetail and brought his whip down on their side, the oppressed dragon roared out in agony before taking to the sky.
"So, we simply wait for our allies to come?" Mkali inquired. "Because we'll need a sizeable force of our junta to bleed this mountain dry."
Humming in agreement, Askari looked at his lover. "When my scout and our allies return, we'll give our master and the Northern Alliance the means of forcing the Druun to serve us or die, just like the rest of mankind. Because of our commitment to Drago, he will elevate us to even greater heights. But we must not be distracted with such prospects just yet," he then gestured down the mountain's well. "Go on, aid our brothers and sisters. I will join you shortly." Nodding, Mkali mounted her Singetail and urged the dragon to descend down the well to aid in extracting every drop of matter from within the mountain's belly.
Looking out towards the horizon, Askari then closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and then exhaled slowly. With this task all but complete, he was most eager to gain some respite as a reward for bringing the matter that will keep the Druun subjugated and place them in their thrall.
Within the imperial city of Fang Nation, Drago and his generals were in the Halls of Desire, a chamber of gold, silk, and lien. And within this chamber, these hardened warriors were having their carnal needs attended to by Fang Nation concubines, women whose sole duty was to attend to the needs of men of high standing and position, whether they be of royalty or foreign guests invited into the palace.
Drago was not one to lower his guard and be distracted by base desires, but after the constant interference Hiccup Haddock had inflicted upon him, he would make an exception this time. The war master reclined against soft cushions while having his hulking body massaged by gorgeous Fang Nation women. Like his face, natural arm, and hands, Drago's body spotted many scars and burns, telling everyone that he had seen his fair share of battles and torture. Leaning his head back, Drago accepted a vine of grapes from one of the concubines servicing him, while groaning in pleasure at the feeling of another woman behind him who was giving him a divine massage.
The generals under Drago's command were either stripped of their clothing or not, they indulged in sexual intercourse or stimulation, they lounged back and allowed the concubines to give them massage's after the grueling and cruel march they endured to get here. Or they indulged in having women by their side while also taking opium pipes, smoking the substance to be at ease.
Suddenly, the doors to the Halls of Desire burst open, revealing Askari's forward scout, the generals indulging in base desires or otherwise ceased their actions for a moment, curious as to why one of Askari's men had returned. Seeing one of his servants approach, Drago shooed the women attending him away and sat up straight. "Ah, you are Askari's forward scout, are you not?" The flyer nodded in confirmation. "Then speak. What news do you bring me?" The flyer had a satchel around his torso, he reached inside and pulled out a sealed vase, and offered it to the war master.
"A gift from Askari, master."
Taking the vase from the flyer, he opened the seal and noted the silver matter that resided within. Humming lightly, Drago reached inside and he inhaled sharply when he felt a hilt form in the palm of his hand. Curious, he then pulled the hilt that had formed in his hand out of the vase, eventually, a thick blade manifested and burned with silver fire before cooling, causing everyone in the room to gasp in shock and awe, except the flyer. A dark chuckle rumbled from Drago's throat as he looked at the flyer, who then spoke up. "Askari and the Dragon Flyers have secured as much of the matter as they could. However, we will need aid in bleeding the mountain dry and obtain every last drop of the matter," the flyer then continued. "Do you still intend on begging the Druun to aid us in completing our ultimate goal of conquering the world?"
"No. There will be no begging," Drago reassured. "We will forge as many weapons as we can with the matter Askari and the Dragon Flyers have procured. However, if we are to subjugate the Druun as a whole, we will need every last drop of that matter." Turning to one of his fully clothed generals, Drago gave his servant a stern look. "Send a detachment of our armada to aid the Dragon Flyers in bleeding that mountain dry of the magic matter."
"Yes, Drago."
The general rose from his cushions and left the chambers in haste. Turning back to the flyer, Drago gave him a dismissive wave. "Go with the general, ensure that he and the portion of the armada I've placed under his command reach that mountain," the war master continued. "There's no time for delay. If the entity that commands the Druun learns of what we have discovered and the power we now wield, they will send everything they have to prevent us from placing them under my control. Go." The flyer bowed his head and left the chambers, but not before closing the doors behind him.
Taking a goblet of wine, Drago drank and sighed while silently commanding the women servicing him to continue their service. Whilst he took a moment of respite, Drago wouldn't allow himself to be completely distracted, eventually, the Druun will come in full force to prevent him from obtaining the very means of enslaving or even destroying them utterly.
There was still work to be done, after all.
Namaari was inside the palace dojo and honing her prowess as a martial artist. She had yet to bathe after the journey back from Spine Nation, but after being forced to bow to her father's murderer and watch as her own mother, friends, and people submit fealty to that madman caused a fire to burn inside Namaari's belly. And so here she was, in the dojo, unleashing her anger on imaginary opponents.
Besides the anger she held towards herself, Namaari had never felt such anger before in her life; her people, those she loved, looked up to, and cared about would rather place the yoke of oppression and tyranny over their shoulders rather than stand up to a genocidal monster who believes himself a god.
Drago Bludvist is no god, and those that believe he is are just as mad as he is.
With a snarl, Namaari then unleashed the anger curdled inside her towards the nearest training dummy. Well versed in the martial arts of Krabi-Krabong, the livid princess drew her swords strapped to her hips and began to hack and slash at the dummy. With each precise and rage-fueled slash, Namaari's mind spawned memories of all the pain, anger, and frustrations in her life, from childhood to womanhood. But what spurred Namaari on was remembering how Drago ruthlessly murdered her father right in front of her and her mother. Her face twisted with rage and she bore her teeth like a wild Serolt ready to pounce on a wounded animal as she imagined the dummy she was releasing her anger out on was Drago himself.
"ARGH!"
The dummy's head was then lopped off with a precise cut and tumbled to the floor, while Namaari huffed and puffed in rage, visibly trembling in anger. With another cry, Namaari ran one of her blades through the dummy's heart and then drove the second one into the dummy's belly.
"Cousin."
Inhaling sharply, Namaari turned and laid eyes on Somwang, who had a look of worry on her face, but the fuming princess was in no mood to talk with her older cousin. "Leave me," Namaari hissed out before taking hold of her blade's hilts and ripping the blades out of the dummy. Noting that her cousin hadn't left yet, Namaari bore her fangs at Somwang. "Leave! NOW!"
"Cousin, please. You're angry—"
"Angry? I'm confounded!" she then snarled out. "You, our friends, the hierarchy of our people, my own mother chose to bow and have the yoke of fear and oppression placed on your shoulders rather than stand up and resist!"
Pursing her lips, Somwang took a careful step forward and spoke softly. "What would have been the result of resistance?" Namaari already knew the answer, yet she chose to remain silent. "Drago would erase all trace of our people and culture before refusing him. You know this. As did we all. Best we bow and preserve our future—"
"What future?" Namaari scoffed while pointing one of her blades at her cousin. "You heard what Drago plans on doing with me, he intends of having me marry Lahn Wei, and... breed with him. My children, and their children, and all who follow will be slaves. I won't let that happen. And if I'm the only one then so be it."
"You are never alone, Namaari," Somwang reassured, hurt that Namaari now thought so low of her. Noting the disbelieving scowl on her face, Somwang sighed heavily and shook her head. "Do you honestly think I would bow down to Drago Bludvist out of my own free will?" When Namaari said nothing, Somwang continued. "He's a murderer, no one can deny that. But when I bowed, I chose to live and wait for an opening at driving a blade in Drago's back," turning to face her cousin, Namaari narrowed her eyes in suspicion. Somwang could see the doubt in her cousin's eyes. "You doubt me?"
"I believe you're telling me things I'd like to believe," Namaari corrected. "You've always had the ability to calm me down whenever I was in a fit of rage, you spoke words that uplifted me whenever I was at my lowest, and you encouraged me to follow the desires of my heart. And what I desire more than Raya is seeing Drago being torn to pieces."
"Namaari—"
"He needs to pay!"
"And he will," Somwang reassured while placing her hands on Namaari's shoulders. "But not at the expense of our people's lives! If we want to ensure our people have a future that will last for generations, acting out on emotion that's marred by rage will drive us to complete and utter ruin."
Sighing heavily, Namaari shrugged her cousin's hands off of her shoulders, sheathed her blades, and pinched the bridge of her nose while shaking her head lightly. After taking a brief moment to compose herself, Namaari looked into her cousin's eyes and spoke firmly. "One day, very soon, Drago Bludvist will meet a violent death, as will those who follow him," making her way out of the dojo, Namaari stopped to stand beside her cousin and added. "When that happens, you better choose who you will stand with. Many of our warriors are already attracted to the prospect of joining Drago's junta. I pray you're not among them." The princess then left her cousin to dwell on her words.
There was so much on Namaari's mind, hopefully, her bath would help put her at ease, for the time being anyway.
(Hiccup's pov)
"Hiccup. Wake up, son."
I was conscious once again, but I was not in Midgard, rather, I was laying in a field of grass in a place that looked like Midgard, yet it wasn't. It seemed like I had woken up between life and death. With a grunt of effort, I rose and gasped as I laid eyes on my father looming over me, he then offered me a hand while giving me a warm smile. As I took my father's hand, he hauled me off the grass and then pulled me into one of his infamous bear hugs, causing me to yelp in surprise. However, I soon melted into my father's embrace and returned it while sobbing into my father's shoulder.
"Now is not the time for tears, son," Stoick pulled back and gently cupped my cheek. "You must reawake in Midgard, avenge our people, culture, and the Viking people."
Pulling away from my father's arms, I looked into his eyes and exhaled shakily. "Dad, I... I'm so sorry," tears swelled in my eyes as I sobbed out. "You warned me about Drago, what kind of man he is, and yet in my stubbornness to prove you wrong, I thought I could change his mind. My idiotic idealism is what got you and our people killed! I'm the reason the Viking people are dead—"
"Enough of that talk," Stoick said firmly, he then grasped my shoulders and gave me an encouraging look. "You did what you thought was right; you had good intentions, son. By trying to sway Drago's mind, you were trying to stop a war. And although your good intentions ultimately didn't bear fruit, the gods have spared you when all of our people were put to the slaughter."
My mother then appeared, causing me to turn to her with tears pouring down my eyes, I had just gotten her back only to lose her for good. Before I could even sob out an apology, Valka embraced me from the side and cooed softly in my hair. "Oh, my boy, you needn't shed tears. We all await for you in Valhalla when the time has come for us to be reunited as a family for good," she pulled away and pressed a hand against my cheek, causing me to lean into her touch and kiss the palm of her hand, savoring her touch here in this world between worlds. "But before you can enter Odin's hall, you must finish what you started, son. Avenge us and our people, lest you forfeit your place in Valhalla."
"You've pressed on for this long, what's one more day?"
Quickly whirling around, I gasped at the sight of Astrid, bathed in radiant light as she approached me with a loving smile. I raced over to her and took her in my arms, she laughed and returned my embrace, and the best part about this was that I could feel her. Not only could I feel the warmth of her skin in this place, but her intoxicating scent, gods, it feels like a lifetime since I last inhaled the scent of flowers and battle that always seemed to linger on her body. She pulled back and then cupped my cheeks while pressing her lips against mine, a moan fled my mouth as I returned her kiss without hesitation. To feel the warmth of Astrid's skin and the taste of her lips once again in this brief moment made all the suffering, hardship, and bloodshed worth it. When Astrid finally broke the kiss, she then pressed her forehead against mine and she murmured against my cheek while pulling me closer to her. "I miss you, Hiccup," she then continued. "Even with all the feasting, fighting, and celebration in Valhalla, I feel empty without you by my side."
"Gods, I miss you too, Milady," I sobbed out. "More than you realize. My world has gone dark, you were the light of my world, but now that you've passed to be with the gods of the Æsir, my life has gone dark. Without you, Toothless, the gang, Gobber, and my parents, I have nothing left but the unquenchable desire for revenge. I want Drago Bludvist and all who follow him to pay with their lives for taking you away from me, but... how can I do so without turning into something you would look upon with horror?"
Astrid pulled back and looked into my eyes, smiling sadly. "The world is full of monsters, babe. We've slain and dealt with our fair share of monsters before, but not like Drago. We fought him with all the guile and wit that we could, but it wasn't enough to keep him destroying the Viking people," she gave a reassuring smile. "Whatever you do and however you kill those who destroyed us, I'll still love you, Hiccup Haddock. And when you have dispatched every last one of Drago's followers to the bosom of Hel herself, come home to us all." She gestured to the gang who then emerged, along with Gobber, Dagur, Heather, Mala, and everyone else I had close relationships with.
Nodding firmly, I looked to everyone I loved and gave them my solemn vow. "I will see that you are all avenged! Drago and his followers will pay for this grievous offense with their lives, and when the Northern Alliance and its war master's legacy is nothing but history, I will return and be reunited with you all."
"I'm counting on it," Astrid smiled. "Do whatever it takes to see this done, Hiccup."
Taking the hands of my betrothed in my own, I kissed her knuckles and nod at her, I then look at my father and mother, who both gave me warm smiles while holding each other close. "Go on, son," Stoick encouraged. "See this done, so that we can be a family again." Valka hummed in agreement, not needing to add to my father's words. I then looked to the gang, Gobber, and my allies who I shared a deep connection, they all gave me looks of encouragement, silently telling me to see this done.
I could feel myself regaining consciousness in Midgard, my time in this world between worlds was coming to an end.
Like my parents, Gobber, the gang, and my allies soon disappeared, I was left alone with Astrid. Holding back my tears, I took her hands in my own once again and nodded firmly at her. "I promised you long ago that there will always be a Hiccup and Astrid, I promise you that I will be right by your side in due time," I then leaned forward to press my forehead against her own. "We'll be together again, Milady. I promise."
"I know," she cooed. "But until then, destroy our enemies and make them feel the repercussions of snuffing us out."
Nodding, I savored the warmth of Astrid's skin against my own for a while, until finally, there was nothing. Opening my eyes, my breath hitched when Astrid too had disappeared, leaving me alone once again. That's when I felt myself being pulled back into the cruel reality I now found myself living in.
Regardless, it was a blessing from the gods that I was able to meet with my loved ones for but a moment. How sweeter the reunion will be when my time comes to enter Valhalla.
I open my eyes slowly and found myself craving to be back in that world between worlds, just being with those I held close to my heart made me want to let my grip on life slip. But that was me being selfish, my gods and people would demand that I exact the vengeance I swore upon back on Berk. Groaning, I sat up and saw that the Shrimporium was sailing in the middle of a swamp with ancient structures and statues covered in moss and vines.
"Alright everyone, here's the plan," Raya's voiced filled my ears as I saw her, Sisu, Boun, Noi, and... a large hulking warrior gather around to discuss strategy. "The last gem piece is in Fang Nation's imperial city, one of the most heavily fortified positions in all of Kumandra." She then began to point to a certain section of the map she loomed over. "Now, they're protected by an artificial canal that separates them from the rest of the world. The only way in or out is by water. Luckily for us, we have a magical water dragon," glancing at Sisu, Raya smirked before continuing. "The palace will be swarming with Fang warriors. To get past them, we'll need to—"
"Ah! Allow me," Boun said with a confident smirk before explaining what he would want to do once reaching Fang Nation's imperial city. "I'll take care of the first wave once they've discovered us, Tong will then follow up with his giant axe of bad axery, next it'll be the Ongies and that crazy con baby who will then toss the gem to the mighty Sisudatu and then it's goodbye to the Druun!" He exclaimed while making animated gestures with his arms and hands. "Quite the plan, am I right?" He turned to Raya and Sisu with a confident grin.
"Uh, no," Raya said. "That's quite a way to get us all killed, in all honesty."
"I agree," Sisu said before grinning mischievously. "Here's my plan: we infiltrate the imperial city, confront Namaari, and I'll offer her something nice as well as offer her an opportunity to save our world from the Druun in exchange for her giving us Fang Nation's gem piece. And then she will exclaim in utter joy "yes! I've been waiting for this opportunity my whole life! Here's the gem piece!" She'll then become a friend and ally!" Everyone looked at Sisu like she had lost her mind, not that I blamed them, I thought so too.
"I think that plan is utterly stupid."
Everyone turned in my direction, Raya was the first one to approach and pull me into a warm embrace, a gesture that surprised me, but one I soon returned. "It's good to have you back, Hiccup," she murmured against my ear, her voice full of genuine relief and excitement. Pulling back, she eyes me from head to toe and gave me a questioning look. "How're you feeling? You're fortunate Stormfly brought you here when she did, those projectiles that struck you in the back were laced with some sort of venom, had Sisu not used her magic to heal you... well, you know."
I look around and saw no sign of Stormfly, Hookfang, Meatlug, or Barf and Belch. I then turned to my new friends with a demanding look. "Stormfly, the dragon who brought me here. Where is she? Where are the other dragons that I freed from Drago's clutches?"
"Safe, I assure you," Sisu reassured me. "I directed them to a remote piece of land known only to dragons. They'll be safe there for the time being."
Breathing a sigh of relief, I then bow my head in thanks. "I owe you my life, Sisudatu, thank you," the Last Dragon smiled and nodded in acknowledgment. Hiccup then turned back to Raya. "If you plan on entering Fang Nation's imperial city, you'll need a better plan. Drago and the remainder of his army are entrenched there, he plans on not only merging the Fang Nation army with his junta, but he also plans on adding the Druun into his ranks."
Everyone looked at me as if I had grown two heads when those words parted from my lips, but I was quick to reassure them. "I was secreted among Drago's ranks, I discovered what he plans on doing to recoup the losses that I single-handedly inflicted upon his junta," I then turned to Raya. "If Drago succeeds and takes command of the Druun, we'll need an army to aid us in defeating him."
"And where do you suppose we find an army? Fang Nation is the only nation in Kumandra that has enough manpower to pose a threat to Drago and the Druun."
"Then we start with Fang Nation," I said firmly. "We must sway them to our side and convince them to deny Drago's ambitions and stand with us in wiping him and his junta away in an ocean of blood. Not only will we need Fang Nation, but everyone who can fight—"
Raya barked out a laugh of doubt, causing me to give her a stern look. "You doubt what needs to be done?"
"Hiccup, with all due respect, what you're suggesting is utter kaek," she laughed once again before continuing. "All of Kumandra has been divided for five centuries. There's nothing you can possibly say or do to persuade the leaders of the remaining nations to join us in wiping the Druun away as well as Drago and his junta."
I then looked at Boun, Noi, and the large man who's called Tong with questioning looks. "Do you agree with her? Hmm?" I then press them. "Would you rather do nothing and watch as what's left of your people are struck from this world by Drago and his army or watch as they become mindless minions for the Druun? You'll all fall to one or the other if you don't convince your people to stand together and face tyranny and evil as one people!" They all lowered their heads, not saying a word, I then scoff in disbelief and disgust. "What's wrong with you people? You face annihilation by both Drago and the Druun, and instead of setting aside your differences, you would cling to your pride and the division your ancestors clung to?"
"Hiccup, it's not that simple—"
"As a matter of fact, it is!" I growled out to Raya. "Send word to the other nations, speak of consolidation, and come together for the sake of your lands and your future generations!"
"Your suggestion would fall on deaf ears!" Raya growled back. "My ba spoke similar words to me when I was a girl, he told me that we can be Kumandra once more and set aside our division and be unified," closing her eyes, Raya released a shaky exhale before looking into my eyes and seething out. "My mteay was killed because of the other nation's greed and attempt to take the Dragon Gem and by saving my life from an arrow, my ba was wounded and then reduced to a stone statue outside the gates of my home. I lost my family because my father attempted to unify us, just as you're suggesting now."
Biting down on my tongue to keep the curses I wanted to hurl out in anger, I instead took a deep breath and gestured around us. "If you continue down this path of mistrust and division, the people of Kumandra will cease to be," I then looked to Sisu and give her a hopeful look. "You must be the catalyst that brings Kumandra and its people together if we're all going to face the coming storm—"
"Absolutely not!" Raya exclaimed, giving me a disbelieving glare. "If the other nations saw that Sisudatu walks among us once more, then they would wage war to possess her!" Looking at the water dragon, Raya shook her head. "You're not considering this, are you?"
All of us turned to Sisu, awaiting her answer. After what felt like a lifetime, she gave us her reply. "We need to do this," turning to a shocked Raya, the Last Dragon continued. "Hiccup is right, if we don't stand together, we will be wiped off the face of this world, and the world will remember the people of Kumandra as a people who once thrived alongside each other and the dragons of their homeland, but then fell victim of greed, betrayal, and distrust, ultimately destroying themselves and giving those who wished to destroy then the perfect killing blow." Sisu stood on her hind legs and looked down at Raya. "This isn't a suggestion, this is what must be done!" Before Raya could renounce this plan further, Sisu pressed on. "Who's going to take the step of setting aside the past and step forward to make a better Kumandra for us all? Your ba believed we can be in harmony again. And you know what? So do I. If you don't believe so, then you brought me back for nothing. Kumandra needs to be united because I walk among you now, this will give the people hope and the courage to fight and prevent the sure extinction our enemies promise to enact upon us."
"Yeah, I think I'd rather go with Boun's plan."
"What?"
"Raya!" I seethed out in disbelief. "What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing is wrong with me, Hiccup! But I just don't entirely trust Fang Nation or any of the other nations entirely."
Tong grunted in agreement, voicing his own words. "Fang's blades are specially designed for the stabbing of backs."
"If it weren't for them, none of this would've happened," Boun threw his hands up and gestured to their broken world. "I won't pretend we all did our fair share of damage that night when Chief Benja of Heart Nation invited our leaders and a select few of our respective people to attend Benja's attempts to unify us all once again, but Fang Nation betrayed the trust Raya's father placed in them and made a move to take the Dragon Gem, which ultimately led to all of... this! Our world is further divided, kids like me and Noi are left without our families, and warriors like Tong and Raya without their loved ones! Fang Nation is the worst." Noi mumbled in agreement with both Tong and Boun's words before crossing her arms across her chest, and all three humans of each nation looked at us with a look that said "come up with a new plan," but there was no time to make a new plan or a better one.
"If we're just honest with Namaari, deep down, I have an inkling she wants to fix the world as much as we do!"
Turning to Sisu, Raya let out a heavy sigh and shook her head. "You weren't there when Namaari betrayed me," she then turned to me and said in a firm tone. "We're sticking with my plan."
Sisu then released a frustrated growl, suddenly, the clear and sunny skies soon turned dark, and then heavy rain began to pour from the heavens. "Whoa. Uh, what's with the downpour?" Raya inquired while turning to Sisu.
"Come with me," she then turned to me as well. "You too. I have something to show you both."
Not even bothering with questioning the water dragon, I couched down to my satchel and grabbed my Viking tunic, and threw it over my naked torso, then proceeded to strap on my dragon scale leather armor and placed my right boot on before mounting Sisu's back. The magical dragon then reached out and took Raya and soon began running along with the raindrops, causing me to let out an exhale in shock and awe.
If Fishlegs were here, he'd be having one of his... moments of euphoria.
"Hey! What about us?"
Looking down at Boun, I barked out. "Stay there and wait for us! We'll be back soon!" I then placed a hand on Sisu's neck, caressing her, she turned to look me in the eyes. "Where are you taking us?"
"Yeah, we don't have time for frivolous adventures, Sisu," Raya huffed out in annoyance. "We need to go—"
"We're not going anywhere until you see what I'm about to show you," Sisu growled out, causing Raya and I both to tense up at the dragon's tone. "Now get on my back, and hold onto Hiccup. We're going back to where this division between Kumandra began five hundred years ago."
A/N: Be prepared for war, that's all I'll say. Anyway, see you in the next update!
