Shot 5: Jhoota Sach

The sun rose, shining in the sky and the Maheshwari Empire stayed stabled. The 4 crore really did come in handy for them, it was even shocking for Mr Malhotra as he had planned them drowning with debts.

Lakshya, who was sleeping woke up after hearing his ringtone, with his eyes closed, he moved his hand to search for his phone.

Though he did not want to open his eyes, he had to as he couldn't find his ringing phone. At last with his one eye mute, he feels his phone and holds it. Seeing the caller ID made him frown but he answered it.

"Hmmm, what do you want." He utters in a sleepy tone and clears his throat.

"Oye! What happened? You gave away that 4 Crore to save your empire?"

"Who. . ." Lakshya whispers but clears his throat again to clearly pronounce his voice. "Who told you?"

"I heard, it's on the news that the project is still on, I bet Mr Malhotra's empire would burn while seeing your empire rise." Nikhil jokes and Lakshya sighs.

"Is there anything important you have to say?"

"Just wants to ask about. . ." Lakshya disconnects the call and puts his phone down on the side.

Thinking about the time, he taps on his phone button twice, not bothered to open his eyes.

"Siri, what time is it?"

"The time is 10:12." Siri, his phone assistance responds and Lakshya opens his eyes wide.

"What! I'm late for college." He utters in shock and sits up, just before getting off the bed, Parvati's challenge makes an entry in Lakshya's mind and he stops.

"No. . . If I spend most of my time in college then I won't get enough time to win the challenge?" Lakshya says to himself.

Lakshya then instantly takes his phone and begins to search how to earn 50 Lakhs in two weeks.

Ragini was in the college looking for Lakshya. She wanted to say that he doesn't need to earn 50 Lakhs and should back off.

"Ragini, who are you searching for?" Navya asks and Ragini shakes her head, saying nothing.

"If it's nothing then why are your eyes moving around places? Don't tell me you're missing Lakshya." Ragini makes a face and shakes her head negatively.

"Oh haan, I forgot to tell you. . . Kavya committed suicide yesterday but survived." Ragini was stunned as Navya reveals.

"Karthik told me yesterday, I don't know the reason though but I wonder why." Navya adds and makes a thinking face, wondering why Kavya took that action.

Ragini was also thinking what might be the reason Kavya took that action.

Ragini's eyes fall on Nikhil and Karthik who were walking down.

"He cut the call on, I don't think he's coming in today." Nikhil says and Karthik nods.

"We will meet him direct after college." Karthik says and Nikhil agrees to that.

"Ragini. . . What is wrong? You have to tell me. What is it that is troubling you?" Navya utters, grabbing Ragini's attention.

Ragini shakes her head negatively and Navya gives her a look.

"You have to tell me. I won't take no or nothing as an answer." Ragini sighs and takes her phone out. Navya waits for an answer, she then gets a text.

'Daadima told Lakshya I can't speak.' Navya reads and then glances at Ragini shockingly.

"What? Really? And what was his reaction, did he call it a bullshit or he left you?"

Ragini begins to text again and Navya's phone buzzes.

'Daadimaa told him what she tells everyone, he doesn't know the real truth and no, he should've left me but he didn't. Daadimaa challenged him to earn 50 Lakhs in two weeks to prove that he's capable of me.'

Navya looks at Ragini shockingly. "What? 50 Lakhs in two weeks? But. . . Will he be able to do that?"

Ragini shrugs and Navya bites the tip of her tongue. "Poor guy will fail, your Daadi is too much. She should give him at least a months time and before giving this challenge, he deserves to know the real truth right?"

Ragini looks away as she begins to think and the two start walking away. Nikhil and Karthik, who were behind them hear and look at each other.

"What truth and what do they mean by real truth? Is Lucky hiding something from us?" Nikhil asks and Karthik shrugs.

Lakshya was standing in front of his mirror, looking at himself.

"This Internet was no use." Lakshya sighs and then hears a knock on the door.

He sees Sanskar standing at the door. "May I come in?"

Lakshya nods positively and Sanskar walks inside. "Is everything okay?"

"She told you didn't she?" Lakshya asks and Sanskar thinks.

"Not really but she did tell me that you're in love and that I should talk to you to see if it's not infatuation."

Lakshya sighs a smile, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I haven't yet developed a clear knowledge about love but I can surely say my feelings for her isn't a time pass." Lakshya says and Sanskar shakes his head, understanding.

"Always remember Lakshya, once you hold her hand, you can't leave it. Love isn't about making promises, it's about fulfilling the promises until your last breath." Sanskar explains and Lakshya shakes his head, understanding what Sanskar is saying.

"Why are you not in college?" Sanskar asks. "Don't feel well." Lakshya responds.

"Hmm, okay." It was getting a little awkward for Sanskar and Lakshya as they had nothing else to say or to speak about.
"I'll meet you later." Sanskar adds and Lakshya nods.

Sanskar then leaves and Lakshya looks at his phone with was laying on his bed, he then looks away, shaking his head.

"There must be other ways." He consoles himself and his gazes yet again

"I can't believe I'm doing this. I'm sorry Papa." Lakshya sighs, walking towards his phone and picking it up.

He places it to his chest and rethinks his decision. 'I have no other choice.' Lakshya's mind says and he looks at his phone, unlocking it.

Swara was in the kitchen and was taking the utensils away to store them in the storeroom for later. While walking towards the storeroom, she senses someone following her and stops, she turns and sees no one. She shrugs her thoughts and walks towards the storeroom.

She struggles to open the door with the key, just then she feels the key being pulled away. She turns to the side and sees Lakshya.

"I thought I could sense someone, why were you following me?" She asks while he unlocks the door and pushes it open.

"Had my own reasons." He says and walks inside, Swara follows with the utensils.

Lakshya begins to search for something while Swara places the utensils on the shelf. She then walks towards the door and turns the main switch on, making it easier for Lakshya.

Lakshya turns his flashlight off and continues to search. At last he finds a box and opens it. Swara also peeks to see what was inside that box and it was a guitar.

Lakshya sits on his knees and caresses the guitar.

"This guitar. . ."

"My 16th birthday gift and was my life back then." Lakshya utters and then scoffs "It's been years since I touched it, I might have even forgot how to play it."

Lakshya goes into the past when he was 16 years old.

"What is this?! You don't even study and just hover around this stupid guitar!" DP shouts and Lakshya was standing besides AP.

"Papa, this guitar is my life. I can't give it up."

"Just shut up! You have no future with that guitar! I don't want it with you anymore."

"This is not fair Papa! I won't give up this guitar."

DP angrily looks at Lakshya. "Swear on me that you won't play these filthy strings of this guitar ever again! I won't hesitate to sell it."

Lakshya shakes his head negatively while AP was shocked.

"Lakshya, tumhe meri kasam, you won't touch this guitar ever again." DP sternly says, making everyone gasp.

"Ji. . ."

"No Annapurna, he has to take my oath that he won't ever play this guitar."

Lakshya was shocked, he looks at AP and tears drop out of AP's eyes, Lakshya could bear anything but tears in AP's eyes and willingly sacrificed his guitar for the sake of AP as he knows how much AP loves DP.

"I hate you! You will never stay happy!" Lakshya curses DP and walks away after dropping his guitar.

DP ignored it and was happy that music's shadow was now away from his family.

"I still don't understand what phobia he has with music." Lakshya utters and stands up with his guitar.

"Lakshya, you broke the oath." Swara says after hearing his flashback.

"I couldn't help it. Now I hope I get a call back and start earning." Lakshya wishes and stands up with his guitar, facing Swara.

Swara shakes her head in disappointment and Lakshya gets a call, he answers it.

His face falls after hearing the response from the other side. "But sir, please. You can't say that, I need that offer sir. . ." Lakshya stops after the other person cuts him. "I agree at that time I rejected but I need it Sir, I need it badly." The call cut and Lakshya frustratedly sighs.

"That's karma for you, you took an oath you wouldn't touch this guitar and broke it." Swara says and leaves.

Lakshya strums the strings and closes his eyes. "This isn't going to be a easy phase." Lakshya whispers to himself and continues to strum the untuned strings.
