"But I have one condition!"

Everyone looked at Laksh curiously while Ragini frowned at him. Laksh took a deep breath and said "We will be staying in our own house, just me and Ragini!" Everyone expect elder Maheshwaris looked at him shockingly. DP, AP, RP and Sujatha just sighed and looked at each other. "What?" Sanskar was the first one to say something while others were still in shock. "What are you saying, Laksh? Why you guys have to stay separately? And..." He looked at his elders and continued saying "Do you realize how much it will hurt them?" Ragini looked at Laksh desperately to know the reason while he looked at his elders and asked "Do you guys have any objection in this?" To everyone's shock they just shook their head in no. Ragini gasped seeing their reaction while Sanskar and Uttara stood frozen. Gaddodias and Arjun looked at the whole scenario with confused expression on their face.

Ragini couldn't believe the things happening infront of her. She gripped Laksh's hand tightly to get his attention. He immediately snapped his head at her. His eyes held something mysterious. She couldn't read them. "They are our family, Laksh. Why we have to stay away from them?" Her eyes looked at him desperately for his answers. He sighed and told her what happened when he went to MM that morning.

Flashback (Muted conversation)

Laksh expressed his feelings for Ragini taking everyone in surprise and shock. They never thought the Laksh, who couldn't stand Ragini's presence, is the one saying that he can't live without her. They stood dumbfounded. Laksh sighed and said softly but determined "I have taken a decision. This may hurt first but it is the best one in this situation." He looked at everyone observing their reactions and said "I want to live with Ragini, forever. But you guys are still not comfortable with the fact that she is going to come back to this again. You may forgive her for my happiness but deep inside you can't forget what all she had done. It will not come out when you are being conscious and cautious. But it will burst out from your heart when you're least expecting it. And yeah, words are more powerful than swords to kill a person. I don't want my Ragini to face such type of condition!" He said while his hands fisted remembering the look Ragini had while leaving MM when her truth was exposed. He doesn't want to see Ragini with that look again in future. His thoughts were interrupted by AP who asked "So...?" She could see what was going to come but she hoped that her son didn't take 'that' decision.

He cleared his throat and said "So, I decided that Ragini and I will live in a separate house." "Away from us" AP asked feeling her hope shattered. His eyes met his mother's. His eyes soften seeing her hurt look. "Maa..." He started saying and tried to hug her but she shook her head and turned away from him letting her tears out. "No Laksh you shouldn't do that!" Sujatha said and came towards him. "You are our son. You belong to this house. You have a big family. You have your own business. Why you have to leave all this for her?" She asked shaking his shoulders like trying to bring him back to normal. "Because I love her chachi" Laksh said trying to sound reasonable. "She is my wife! She belongs to me. Her happiness is my happiness, her pain is my pain! Everything that belongs to her is mine! And the same applies to her. So how can I let her stay here when I know that she might get hurt at any time? You think I will let her get hurt, that too knowingly? No! I won't!" Laksh said strongly.

"You think us as a bad guy?" DP finally asked. Laksh looked at his father and immediately shook his head in no. "No papa, I am trying to save my loved ones from getting hurt." He then looked at his mother who was crying on his father's shoulder. "Maa" He called her and went towards her. "Please try to understand maa. I love her as much as I love my family! And maa, you know that I will do anything to keep my family safe and happy. That's what I am doing this time too, maa. Ragini belongs to our family now. I don't know if she accepts me and comes back to me again, but if she does, I wanted to make sure I just give her happiness, not pain. I know that even if she gets hurt she won't tell me and keep it to herself for my happiness. But I can read her eyes, maa. Her eyes never says lie to me. If I come to know that she is hurt, you think I will be happy and normal with you guys?" He grabbed AP's shoulder and turned her towards him and made her look at him. "Unnecessary fights or misunderstandings will arise, maa. I want to avoid them." He rubbed her tears away and sniffed. That's when he realized he was crying too. "I know maa, it will hurt. But we are not going to stay away from you guys forever. I can't stay away from my family too. We will be living just few blocks away. We will visit here every weekend and spend our day here with you guys. If you want, you can come and visit us whenever you want; or just a phone call, we will come here."

More tears rushed down from AP's eyes. Laksh couldn't take it and immediately hugged her. He looked at DP to find him having a hard face but tears were formed in his eyes. He pulled out a hand and took DP in his embrace too. They hugged each other and let out their tears. While hugging them, Laksh whispered "I love you all so much. Ragini and I are not staying away permanently. It's for time being. When you guys are ready to accept her wholeheartedly as your daughter-in-law, we will come back to this house. I hope you all will do this for my happiness." He broke the hug and rubbed away his parents' tears. He gave them a smile and looked at Sujatha, who was also crying on RP's shoulder. "I took this decision not only for Ragini, chachi. I have some selfish reasons too. I want to be happy with my wife and spend some quality time with her. I have already wasted more time because of some stupid infatuations. I am not going to repeat my mistakes. So, please don't think that Ragini had brainwashed me or put black magic on me. It's nothing like that. Please don't hold any grudges on her. I am requesting you chachi, please don't!" He said while folding his hands and went towards his room leaving guilt ridden Sujatha.

Flashback ends

Ragini's eyes filled with tears on hearing Laksh's words. She was about to say something but the doctor came and asked her to take rest and ordered everyone to get out of the room. Ragini whined and said she wanted to say something but the doctor gave her a stern stare and made her sleep by giving some injections. Laksh knew that he had to speak to 2-3 more pages dialogue to make Ragini accept with his condition. He sighed in relief that doctor had saved him this time. He thought that he should be prepared to woo Ragini with his long speech, by their next meet.

Everyone went outside Ragini's room and immediately, Sanskar and Uttara hugged Laksh. Laksh was surprised by their hug but still hugged them back. Sanskar was the first one to pull away and said "I never thought that my brother is so matured!" Laksh pouted and said "Don't say these things and make me a big guy, I still want to be your younger brother, Lucky." Sanskar chuckled and said "You are always my younger brother. But by seeing your mischievous activities I always thought you are Uttara's big brother most of the times and today seeing your mature decision I thought finally you became my younger brother. But you burst the bubble with that pout!" He said dramatically. Uttara glared at Sanskar and pulled his ear while Laksh joined her by pulling his other ear and making him put sit ups. AP, DP, RP and Sujatha looked at their bond and smiled happily with tears in their eyes.

After a while,

Except Laksh, everyone had gone to their respective houses. He was speaking to a lawyer about Prakash's case. Because of Prakash's arrest, the project they were working on was stopped temporarily. The shares of other business men in Prakash's company were taken back because of his arrest, causing a huge lose to the company. All his properties were ceased. He had a huge debt in bank. So adding to his crimes, his debt was also added making his punishment even longer. Laksh was making sure of it and that's what the phone call was.

Ragini woke up and saw Laksh walking here and there talking seriously to someone in phone. She slowly tried to sit on the bed. Laksh noticed her movements in the corner of his eyes and immediately cut the call and ran towards her and helped her to sit. He slowly traced her eyebrows and asked "Did you sleep well, bachha?" Ragini narrowed her eyes at him and pushed away his hand with her uninjured hand i.e. her left hand. Her right forearm and shoulder was injured along with her heart. Laksh frowned at her action and suddenly realized that she might be angry on him for his decision. He sighed internally and thought it's the time to convince his wife! Ragini looked away and said sternly "I am not going to come anywhere with you. I will go to my father's house." Laksh frowned more and took her left hand in his' to get her attention. She looked at their hand and at him while slowly raising an eyebrow at him. "You can't just change your decisions time to time, Ragini!" He said stubbornly. Ragini pulled her hand away and said "I can and I will!" With that she looked away again. Laksh looked at her like a lost puppy and said "Come on Ragini, I took that decision for our happiness!"

Ragini looked at him seriously and asked "You think I will be happy with you by separating you from your family? No Laksh, I can't! What will they think of me now?! I have already caused so many misunderstandings to your family and now by separating you from them, they will hate me more! With their hate, I can't live with you Laksh!" Ragini concluded and looked at Laksh silently wishing him that he will listen to her and change his decision.

But instead, he took her left hand and placed a butterfly kiss on it sending shivers to her body. He looked at her and said softly "First of all wifey! They are not 'my' family; they are 'our' family! And secondly, they won't judge you or hate you, because I made them understand about the importance of us living separately." Ragini sighed and said "Please Laksh, don't do this. They will be hurt by this decision. They can nod for your happiness, but deep inside they are hurt. So..." Laksh interrupted her by putting his finger on her lips and whispered "Shh!" When he was sure that she won't speak, he removed his finger and he started to say "I know Ragini, you will tolerate all judgmental stares and taunting for me, but I can't keep calm seeing it. I can't let anyone disrespect you, behind my back or infront of my face. Also they are not ready yet to see you as their daughter-in-law again. And when they are ready, we will return to our house and live as a happy family." Ragini stayed silent hearing them. Though his words are convincing, she knows deep inside they are running away from the problems which may end even more problematic.

Laksh observed her reactions and placed another kiss on her hand making her look at him. He said with mischievous glint in his eyes "Till we go back to MM, consider this stay as a long honeymoon. Just you and me..." He then gave her a dreamy look and said "How beautiful it will be naa?" Ragini giggled seeing his reactions. Laksh immediately grinned and looked at her for her answer. "I hope they will accept me soon!" She said with a distant look. Laksh cupped her face and kissed her forehead and whispered "Very soon bachha".
