I'm back with yet another one-shot.

We can see many kites flying.
B1- Chotu,cut Ragu Di's kite yaar.
Rag- There is no one who can cut Ragini's kite. Just look how I'm going to cut your kite.
(She cuts the boy's kite)
Wohooo!!!!I won.I'm the best here.
B1- Ragu di...see your kite is stuck somewhere.
Rag- Ayyo...come let's get it.

While returning after taking the kite from the tree Ragini collides with a guy.

Rag- Sorry
Guy- I'm sorry too. Hey,can please say where is Shekar Gadodia's house?
Rag- Why are you asking for his house?
Guy- Oh..so you are the don here?
B1- Not don but champion
Rag- Will you say now?
Guy- Woh...we came here for fixing alliance
Rag- Hmm...then I can't say..bye

Ragini leaves from here.

Guy- Who shall I ask now?

Suddenly Ragini comes back gives the kite to him and goes saying "you are welcome"
The guy looks at the kite.

After sometime,

Dadi- Ragini beta, please serve them the drinks and snacks dear.
Ragini comes out in a saree, she looks at the guy whom she met and smiles.
While serving,
Guy- You could have said directly right?
Ragini giggles,serves others and go inside.

Dadi- Ragini beta,groom likes you?
Do you like him? Shall we proceed with this?
Rag-Really dadima, I'm ok with this alliance.
Dadi- You really like him right? Don't say yes for my sake.
Rag-I really like him. But my graduation?
Dadi- You can complete it after marriage ok, don't worry. Now come.

Ap- Come beta,sit near Sanskar.

Ragini goes to near that guy. While guy looks confused.
Uttara- Bhabhi,not there here.
Uttara makes her sit beside Sanskar.
While Ragini looks tear-eyed. She felt like heart- broken. She thought Laksh,her to be brother in law to be her prospectus groom.

Ragini's and Sanskar's marriage was fixed. In sometime they got married.
Sanskar was a good guy,he took care of Ragini, respected her and took her side infront of his abusive parents. The only thing he couldn't do for her is helping her graduation.
Meanwhile Laksh fought with his family specifically his parents who were against his dream of becoming naval officer. He left chasing his dream in few days after Ragini's marriage.
Though Ragini did not love Sanskar,she thought to accept her fate. She respected Sanskar a lot as he was very understanding and caring. It was only Sanskar and Uttara who support her. If Sanskar is not around her in-laws would torture and abuse Ragini.

It was the first anniversary of their marriage, Sanskar was heading from his office suddenly a lorry collided with his car. He was spot dead. Here Uttara was pulling Ragini's leg in their room when they got the news.

That day Ragini's life became hell. Her in-laws started to torture and abuse Ragini more. They held her responsible for Sanskar's death. Uttara couldn't do much.
Laksh was on a mission so he couldn't come back home for his brother's funeral.

After an year

It has been an year of Sanskar's demise. Ragini was living a dreadful life. Uttara tried so many ways to help her but nothing was possible. The only time Ragini smiles or be happy is when she's with Uttara.

One day, Uttara came with a form to Ragini
Rag- What's this Uttu...you know right your mom will not allow me continue my graduation nahh.
Utt- Once you ask her...please for me
Saying this Uttara took Ragini to Ap.

Utt-Maa Ragu bhabhi wanted to ask you something
Ragini was glaring Uttara while Uttara was eyeing her to say.

Ap- What did you want to ask you witch?

Rag- Woh woh...

Ap-I don't have whole day for your non sense...say what did you want to ask?

Rag-Woh what shall I cook for lunch?

Ap- Anything other than poison.

Ap left from there. Uttara was glaring her.

Rag (cutely)-Sorry

Utt- I'll accept your sorry only if you fly kite with me. I'll not listen to no.

Rag- Ok fine....come.

Uttara asked Ragini to fly kite but instead Ragini told her she'll help her in flying.
While flying, Ragini accidentally hit herself on the manja which present there and about fall when someone hold.
Both fell into an eyelock. Suddenly Uttara shouted breaking the eyelock.

Utt-Laksh bhaiyyyaaaa...
Laksh left Ragini and smiled at both
Lak- How are you Uttu?

Utt-I'm good. Why you didn't inform me about your arrival? How many days will you be staying?

Lak-Arey meri behenaa...allow me to speak.

Dp- Ragini... Ragini...where are you?

Ap-I see you here flying kite... it's just one year that your husband passed away you are here enjoying. You are reason he's not with us today.

Lak- Maa...what are you saying? How's it Ragini's fault that bhaiya met with an accident... infact he was rushing because of you.

Dp- Oh so you have become that big,now question your mother? A son who can't support his family is not a son. You are a guest here so be a guest,eat, sleep, enjoy but don't interfere in our family matters. Come Ap.

Night

Ap- Is the dinner ready or not Ragini? Ji I'm saying she's useless...not doing anything just sitting and eating our brain. She's such a bad omen. When she came into the house as daughter in law Laksh left the house,then we lost our Sanskar. Now she's trying to take Uttara from us.

Utt- Maa what are you even saying? Do you understand the meaning of your words. Laksh bhai left the house because you were against his dream and about Sanskar bhai it was accident. All these have nothing to do with Ragini bhabhi. And she's taking me away from you, it is your behaviour because of which I'm distant from you.

Ap- See ji, I told you na. I don't know what magic that devil casted on our daughter that she's daring to raise her voice against us.

Lak-Maa please stop it. Not everything that happens should be because of Ragini.

Dp- You just shut up. You don't have any rights to speak. A son who can't support his father in his business is not a son to me.

Lak- I'm a naval officer. I earn good and have respect I can support our family but you won't understand this. How can I expect you both to support and respect Ragini when you don't do that with your own son.

Ragini is standing in the corner and watching this sadly.

Lak(looking at her)- In life nobody will be help one unless the person is willing to help himself. We should only take stand for our respect and dignity, miracles don't happen.

Saying this he starts to go from there without eating.

Utt-Bhai,where are you going? Eat something and go.

Lak- I'm full Uttu.

Uttara also leaves from there. Ap- dp yet again taunt Ragini for this and go after eating their dinner.
Ragini was feeling really bad but she's now used to these kinds of taunts. So she composes and has her dinner.
Then makes two plates, goes to Uttara's room first. She forces Uttara to have dinner and some how succeeds. Next she goes looking for Laksh. She checks in his room but he's not there. Then she goes to terrace and finds him sitting on the stairs and murmuring something.

Rag-Laksh, why you always get angry on your food?

Lak-Ragini I don't want to eat anything please leave me alone. You'll catch cold here.

Rag- As though you are made of stone,you won't catch cold. Eat first otherwise I won't leave. I'll sit here only. Waise bhi who's there to care for me even if I catch cold.

Lak- Ohh trying to blackmail to eat the dinner haan? Ok then, I want you to do something for me if you do I'll have dinner. Deal?

Rag-Ok done. Now eat.

Lak- Haan...not like that. Here hold this,sign this I'll have dinner.

Rag- Laksh what's this? Application form, you too joined with Uttara. You know right your parents are against it?

Lak- Like I said already Ragini we should take stand for ourselves,no will do it for us. I have given you the application now the rest is upto you. I'm going to eat,I'm feeling very hungry. Bye. Goodnight.

Next morning

Ragini comes into Laksh's room with the application. She sees around but Laksh is not there. She thought he has gone for jog. So she thinks to keep application form on his dresser. She keeps and starts move suddenly Laksh comes out of the bathroom just in a towel. Ragini was embarrassed seeing him like that she just turns away and moving saying sorry.

Lak(wearing his vest)-Ragini, one minute. Why did you come to my room?

Rag ( without turning)- To give the filled in application.

Lak-What really?

He comes to her excitedly but slips on her. Ragini who just turned,didn't expect this lost her balance. Both fall down and get into an eyelock. Ragini comes to her senses when water drips from his hair onto her face. She pushes him and goes out.

Laksh gets Uttara's help in sneaking away with Ragini for going to university. Uttara successfully distractes her parents while Raglak go out.
But some how Ap-Dp finds about this.
Raglak came back after applying. Laksh gets a call from his senior officer so he didn't enter the house and goes out saying he'll come in sometime. While Ragini enters to see raging Ap-Dp while Uttara gives a helpless look.
Ap comes to Ragini scolds her badly,call names and beats her. Dp comes forward pulls Ragini by hair,throws her into a room and locks it. Uttara tries to stop them but Ap slaps her and locks her in her room.

Ap-Ji this dayan is going out of our hands.

Dp-Tomorrow we'll send her to our village,when she'll suffer there she will learn to be obedient.

Ap-Ok ji. That will be good.

Here Uttara tries calling Laksh but his mobile is not reachable. He comes home at night and the house locked. Ap-Dp went to meet someone regarding sending Ragini to their village. Laksh opens the house with the keys he has,wondering where all went.
Upon entering he hears Uttara's voice asking his parents to open the door. He rushes sensing something has happened bad and opens the door. Seeing Laksh, Uttara was relieved and she says everything about the day's happening. Laksh was furious,both started to search for Ragini's room key but weren't able to find. Laksh says Uttara that he'll enter her room by window. Also he says that they should file complaint against their parents for abusing Ragini.
Utt-Bhai my friend's mom is working in human rights department. I'll contact her. Our parents are crossing all limits to torture Ragini bhabhi,now it's time for them to learn lesson.

Lak- Ok Uttu. Take care.

Uttara goes out while Laksh enters Ragini's room through window and finds her crying. He enters the room.

Lak- Ragini...

Rag-Laksh...
She hugs him and cries. Laksh too hugs her back.
Lak-I am sorry on behalf of parents Ragini. I know my sorry won't be enough for pain you have gone through these many days. I'm so sorry.

That's when Ragini realises that she's hugging him and backs off.
Rag-I'm sorry I didn't mean to hug you.
Lak- It's ok Ragini I can understand your pain.

Rag ( under her breath)- If only I was married to you like I wished for. I would have been happy.

Laksh heard that and pulled her into a tight hug.

Lak- I love you Ragini. I love you from the moment I saw you that day. I was broken when I came to know you are the bride of my brother. I'm sorry for not fighting for my love. I wasn't having any secured job or place to stay at that time. So I thought it would be better if you don't suffer with me. But I was so wrong,you suffered so much after marrying bhai only. I'm sorry for letting you suffer this much time. Please forgive me Ragini. Please.
Please give "us" a chance please.

Rag- I love you too. That too from the time I saw you. At first you are my groom so only I said yes to the marriage. Then only I came to it's not you but Sanskar. I was heart-broken but Sanskar was a very good person. Then when I was starting to accept my marriage as my fate and Sanskar as husband he met with the accident. I went through hell after he passed away. He was the only one who supported me. And Laksh please don't say sorry. You have nothing to apologise about. When you came back, I started to feel those when I saw you first. I don't know Laksh if this feeling is correct or not and I deserve you or not. But I know one thing I love you and I have always loved you only you.

Laksh slowly breaks the hug,wipes her tears and kiss her forehead. He then says about lodging a complaint but Ragini was reluctant, Laksh made her agree.

Next day
Ap opens Ragini's room door.

Ap- Hey dayan,where are you? Ji that dayan is not seen anywhere.

Dp- What are you saying Ap see properly.

Rag- I'm here.

She enters the house Laksh, Uttara and some officers.

Officer- You both are under arrest for abusing your daughter-in-law and daughter.

Dp-You witch,how dare you complaint about us?
He was about to hit Ragini but Laksh stops him. Officers take Ap-Dp from there. They are sentenced to jail for their crime.

Laksh takes Ragini with him. They both start a new life. Uttara goes to college and now stays at hostel. Ragini has completed her graduation and now is an independent working women.

After a year of this incident, Raglak gets married to eachother.

And it's their happily ever after 😍
