Rain and Snakefinder get captured and or given to the Skywings by the Nightwing. Therefore Snakefinder ends up dying trying to save Raindrop in the arena. Forcing Rain to watch him die.

Raindrop ends up killing the dragon who killed Snakefinder. She gets chained up again.

That night she looks up at the stars and cries. Cries for the loss of her friend, her other half, her mate....
