Zombie Attack

"GGGGAAARRRRAAAAAAH," the zombies groaned. There must have been hundreds of them gathered by the mall's front door.

"Storage," I said, spotting the locked door near by. There couldn't be any zombies in there, right? "We have to go to storage." I repeated. I spotted a key for storage hanging by the door. I frantically jiggled it in the lock, the zombies inching closer. It opened.

"Run, run, run!" I screamed. Katie and the sports kid sprinted in with me. In my panic, I dropped the key outside.

"Click." The door sounded. We were locked in. The storage smelled musty and the air was dry. I looked around for any sign of zombies having entered here. There was no sign of any.

"Look!" Katie said. She pointed to a box on the floor. The box said DO NOT OPEN. TOP SECRET. That was weird.

"We should not open the box." I said.
10 minutes later, we opened the box. I wish we had just come here first, because then  we would have not needed to look for supplies in the mall. And the Matthew would still be okay. The box had a note inside that said: If in a zombie apocalypse, use this box.

The box had everything you would need in a zombie apocalypse: food, safety gear, camouflage and a grapple gun like the ones they have in Batman. I would have tried out the grapple gun if I stuck inside. We looked around and realized there was a vent with an opening big enough for a Me-sized person to fit through, but not a big and buff sports dude to fit through. So, we had to make up a plan.

"Okay, I have an idea," said Katie,"So, I don't think me or Arlo can fit in that, but if you go out through the vent and distract the zombies, me and Arlo can run out of the front door."

"Ok." I said, although I was incredibly scared. I went through the (gross) vent and looked through the opening at the zombies.

"Grrrooannnn." They said. They all started moving towards me. "Wow, their groan was freaking me out!" Arlo and Katie snuck by the zombies and out the front door. And they did something unexpected. They ran away from me. "Wow, that's surprising betrayal!" I thought. I needed to find a way out of this vent and fast. I moved on my knees to look for a way out. It took at least 30 minutes to find the way out. I knew I was by myself from now on.
