"Michael?" Penny my co-worker said as I stopped in my tracks.

Penny was always the one to make fun of me and tease me. what kind of scared me is that she could relate to Michael more than I could. She never liked me, well at least I've noticed, from the constant snares and dirty looks, i mean who wouldn't? 

Penny has that golden brown honeycomb dyed hair, and then there's me with the dull dark brown hair. she has a perfect porcelain complexion, and i have random freckles and dry spots. not to mention its been ten years since I've seen Michael Clifford, and I'd rather not. I've spent my entire radio career trying to stay away from him, including telling my radio co-host Ryan Secrest that i was sick to skip the encounters. 

i mean you're thinking "Who says no to Ryan Secrest?" i mean believe me i know. Penny has always wanted my job since the first day she started working here 3 years ago. All she wants is the money and to vask in the glory, she even talks about dating some famous guy a few years back and he gave her everything and one day she just ditched him, poor guy. 

"Penny what are you-" i said unable to finish my words, i see Ryan shaking Michael's hand. 

"Crystal, I'd like you to meet-" Ryan says as i cut him off. 

"I know who he is Ryan" i say angrily, his words stop and confusion appears on his awestruck-en face.

"and i am just leaving" i say as Michael grabs my arm.

"no you're not, Crystal. You need to get over this okay? its only for a few weeks, can't you at least go until then" he says as i almost melt under his touch, something i haven't felt in over ten years, but i'm not going to have my feelings drag me down to a low life wannabe punk rock star, at least never again.

"what is he talking about Ryan?" i ask as his face turns bright red, almost the color of Michael's the last time i saw him.

"well i was going to tell you, um we're having you hang out with the boys and interview their last days as a famous punk rock band" he said all at once, it took a few moments to settle before my blood fumed. 

"Excuse Me?" i said walking closer to Ryan, almost standing a few inches taller than him, as my steps increased the further Ryan sunk into his purple dress shirt.

"Stop with the bull crap Crystal, you're flying with me and the boys to Sydney to reunite you with your old station for a few weeks" he paused eyeing me up and down. "pack your bags princess you're in for one hell of a ride" he winked walking out of the studio before he stopped.

"and just between you and me its good to see you and the extra weight you've gained, ha well life's only good to some of us" he laughed as i scoffed, and proceeded out of the room as if nothing happened.

"i think I'm probably tipping you extra for this right?" Ryan said as i nodded.

"yeah" i said aggressively stopping away, i quickly see penny laughing behind her desk, after flashing a dirty look she quickly looked away.

Penny's Pov:

that's right Crystal, a one way flight to the end of her career, but it isn't over princess is it? not at all. Why don't you see he's only meant for me? and your career of course, down the sewage pipe you'll go, and your dreams to go along with it. 

stole your man once, what doesn't mean i can't do it again?
