I am going to stop by Prism Tower to visit Dad. Mom is probably working. Wait, HOW WILL SHE GET HOME??? I guess she'll take the long way. But there have been power-outages recently, and it is unsafe to traverse the desert at night. I decide to tell Dad about the tremors.

"That is very strange. Kalos rarely has earthquakes, so it could be something else. Oh, have you caught any Pokémon yet?"

"Yeah, I caught an Absol, and named him Neville." I say as I let Neville out of his Pokeball.

"Oh! If you find an Absolite, you can Mega Evolve him!"

"But, don't I need a Key-stone as well?"

"Ah, yes. Wait here for a moment." Says Dad as he goes to another room. He comes out with a box. "Your grandfather left this with me to give you when you where old enough." He opens up the box which has three screws.

"What are the screws for?"

"There is a key-stone in your watch!" He says as he puts the screws in. LYou need the four specific screws to activate it. However, to avoid it being stolen for bad uses, like Team Flare, the fourth screw is in a secret place with a different person. Do you know who that person is?"

"Is it Uncle Ash?"

"Yes, Ash is the secret-keeper."

"That is convenient, since I was planning on heading there next! I'll tell you she said hi."

"I will research the quakes. I will call to update if I find anything. Be safe!" I start leaving when he says, "Actually, I need to tell you something. Your mom hasn't been home the past couple of days. Have you heard anything from her?"

"No, I haven't. I'll tell you if I do. Bye!" I leave home and head for Vaniville Town.

Hoi! I wan Tem skp!

I finally get to Vaniville, but it is early in the day. I stayed in Santalune City. I finally get to their house, knock on the door, and Atley opens the door. "Hey, LZD! What are you doing here?"

"I came to see your dad." I say in response.

"Oh. He and mom are at work. Skye is traveling in Sinnoh. Laura doesn't live here anymore, so I have to take care of home. I have dad's old Pokémon to help me. I she you caught a Fennekin. And a rare one two! Nice! What other Pokémon do you have?"

"I have Chestin and Neville!" I say as I bring them out. "What about you?"

"I have Fennekin and Shinx! Wanna battle?"

"Sure. We have a battle field out back, of course." We set up for battle.

"Two on two?"

"Sure." She says as she brings out Fennekin. I bring out Neville.

"Battle begin! You may go first!"

"Fennekin, use smoke screen!" The battle field fills with smoke.

"Neville, use Swords dance!" 6 glowing swords appear above Neville, slicing through the fog!

"Use scratch!"

"Counter it with slash!" Neville's horn glows white and hits Fennekin dead on.

"Are you alright?" Fennekin is badly weakened, but gets up. "Use Ember!"

"Dodge it and use slash again!" Not Neville's horn glows a dark purple and glows! He learned Night Slash! Fennekin fainted. Atley sends out Shinx.

"Use charge!" Shinx charges at Neville with a electric field around him. He gets hit and gets back up.

"Use Night Slash."

"Use Spark on the horn." Shinx's spark hits Neville straight in the head. He goes flying back, making a dust cloud. Critical hit. When the dust clears, Neville is fainted. I send out Bronze in his place.

"Now, use tackle!" Shinx tackles Bronze. She is hit, but gets back up.

"Use ember!" Bronze makes an explosion. When the smoke clears, Shinx barely has any damage.

"Use Spark! "Use Ember!" we both say at the same time. Shinx sends some electricity at Bronze. Bronze shoots a wave of fire. She learned Flamethrower! The mix of the two attacks causes a huge explosion. When the smoke clears, both Pokémon are still standing, both badly damaged. Then Fennekin faints, followed very quickly by Shinx. I just barely lost. Oh, well!

We go to shake hands when we hear clapping. "Very well done, both of you." We look and see the Champion of Kalos, Ash Ketchum, and the person I came here to see. "Good to see you again, LZD. How's Clemont and Korrina?"

"Dad's good. Mom has been at work and hasn't come home in the past few days, though. How's Aunt Serena?"(Not really my Aunt. metaphorically, not biological)

"She's good. She's touring in Ambrette town. But, I'll let you know if I hear anything from your mom. Oh, and did you come here to battle Atley, or did you come for something else with me?"

"I came to talk to you, actually."

"Okay, let's go inside. Atley, you come too. I have the item and something for you and Atley." He shows us into his room. I see two Pokémon eggs out. "Here is the final screw. Let me adjust the other screws. Now. To activate it, just press the watch face. Also, you can store Mega Stones in into it by pushing the watch face." I push the watch face, and a small bluish-red stone. When I hold it, one of the eggs begins to shake.

"What are those eggs for?" I say as I put the stone away.

"Ah about those. Those are what I was going to give you. You can pick first, LZD."

"No thank you. Not until Atley picks one."

"Always a gentleman. I admire that. Bonnie says you are 'soul mates'. Not sure what exactly what she meant by that." Aunt Bonnie always said Uncle Ash was dense. "So, Atley. Which one do you choose?"

"I choose this one," as she picked the egg that reacted to the stone. I picked up the other egg. Then, I got a crazy idea.

"Would it be okay if me and Atley traveled together? I mean we have a journey ahead of us, and we've grown up together, so let's do this together."

"That sounds amazing! Can we travel together?"

"I say yes, but we need to wait till your mom gets home."

"Why wait? Ask me now." Says Serena. I guess she snuck in.

"Hi Aunt Serena!!" I say.

"Hey LZD! What were you guys asking about?"

"Oh," Atley says, "can me and LZD go on a Pokémon Journey?"

"Of course, just don't get too Frisky."

"Mom! Really."

"What does that mean?" Uncle Ash says. All three of us face palm.

"We should get going if we want to get to Santalune City by sundown."

"Bye Mom, bye Dad!" Atley says.

"Have a good journey." Says Uncle Ash.

"Stay safe!" Aunt Serena says as we walk out of their house.

Little did we know, the eggs will become an extremely important part of our journey. And there was a fun surprise waiting for us in Santalune.
