"Wow," I mumbled under my breath. "This is amazing."

I was staring up at the 100 floors of the Galaxy Inn. It was amazing; the whole building was made of glass tinted blue, so you could see out of all the angles of your room.

We (meaning me and all the other contestants) walked into the lobby of the hotel. And boy, was it busy!

There were toads, yoshis, wigglers, everyone working! Bringing towels to the rooms, checking people in, you name it.

"This is where you will be staying," conductor toad informed us. He had accompanied us to the hotel, and would soon return to the train. "Just check in right over there, and go to the room they tell you."

The conductor then left, and all the contestants got in a line at the check in desk.

And guess who was the lucky contestant standing behind Mario in line?

Me.

I tapped him on the back to get his attention. He turned around. "Peach? Why do you want to talk to me?"

"Oh, I don't," I sheepishly smiled. "Just trying to annoy you."

He rolled his eyes and faced forward again. The line was slowly becoming shorter, and Mario was up next.

"Sir, you will be in room 13 on the fifth floor," the desk yoshi told Mario. "Enjoy your stay!"

"Thank you," Mario muttered, turning and heading to the elevator. He pressed the button and patiently waited for the elevator to come down.

"Hello," the yoshi greeted, staring down at his chart of rooms, trying to decide which room to put me in. I snuck glances at Mario, tapping his foot in annoyance. The elevator was taking a really long time.

"Ma'am, you will be in room 17 on the fifth floor," the yoshi spoke quickly, as if he was in a rush. "Enjoy your stay!" I took the room key he extended to me and slowly walked over to the elevator. It opened just as I arrived, and everyone that had been waiting smushed into the snug traveling room.

I pressed the button for the fifth floor as I entered, then chose a spot to stand. I stared up at the ceiling as we moved floor to floor.

Before I knew it, we had arrived on floor 5. Apparently, Mario and I were the only people to get out. Maybe others are already here.

I quickly found room 17 and slid the room key into the slot. It flashed green and let me in.

I gasped as soon as I entered. This was the coolest hotel I had ever been to! It consisted of a tiny kitchen in the corner, a bathroom by the door, and two queen beds against the wall. All of them were elaborately decorated.

And this was the coolest part; the ceiling looked like a galaxy! There were stars with turquoise and pink mixed into the black sky. It was amazing!

I approached one of the beds and flopped my pink suitcase onto it. I unzipped it and my clothes practically fell out. Let's do this!

| One hour later |

I had finally finished unpacking my amazingly fashionable clothes. It took a while, but they all had to be neatly organized into the drawers of the TV cabinet.

By the time I had finished, night was falling. I lazily slipped into my favorite pink silk nightgown, brushed my teeth, and did my hair. I yawned; it had been a really long, dramatic day.

Before I went to bed, I decided to go across the hall and get a quick snack from the vending machines. Luckily, I did it with no special encounters (if you know what I mean).

I crawled into bed and drank a sip of water. I was so exhausted, I fell asleep upon the instant.

But that was not the end of my exhilarating day. That night, I was haunted by a horrible dream.

~DREAM~

I was falling, falling into space. Blank air, nothing to catch me.

I shut my eyes to embrace the fall, but as soon as I wasn't moving anymore, I became curious and removed my fingers from my eyes.

Only to stare into another set of ice blue eyes.
