Chapter 2 - Packing and Goodbyes

| Peach - One Week Later |

I took a pink sundress from my closet and examined it closely. Hmm, perfect! I walked it over to my pink leather suitcase, folded it neatly, and placed it on the top. That was the last item I needed to fill it to the brim! I pulled the lid over the clothes, struggling to zip it up.

I carried it downstairs and set it by the door. Man, was it heavy! Yes, I will admit to it, I'm a bit of a fashionista. But who can resist the beauty of today's fashion? Certainly not me!

Daisy was sitting on the couch playing on her phone. She was biting her lip in frustration.

"Ugh!" she burst out, shutting her phone down.

"Wow, that's the first time I've seen you rage quit," I commented as Daisy stood up and walked to the TV room.

"Yeah, well it was getting really frustrating!" she fumed. I decided not to get involved in her rage, so I just left the room.

"Hey, is that your suitcase for the tournament?" she questioned, suddenly curious of what I was doing.

"Oh, yeah," I replied, dragging it out of the room.

Daisy flopped down on the couch, reaching for the remote. But, it wasn't there. She frowned. "Where's the remote?" she said, searching for it and looking under the couch cushions.

"I have absolutely no idea," I said, trying to keep a straight face. I covered my lips, a smile spreading across my face. I turned and rushed out of the room.

Daisy suddenly realized why I was running away and followed me, in search of her precious remote. "Peach!" she screamed.

I charged out of the castle into the garden, hiding behind a toad shrub. She burst out of the door and quickly found me.

"Caught you!" she triumphantly stated, digging into my suitcase. The remote was sneakily placed on top. I smirked.

Things suddenly got serious as she looked at me. "Gosh, am I gonna miss you." Her voice quivered as she hugged me tightly.

"I'm going to miss you too," I said in her arms.

We stayed there for a while, and soon let go. Daisy looked at me with tears in her eyes. "Well, I guess you should go enjoy the tournament," she told me. We both walked back into the castle.

"I should probably go now," I said with seriousness in my tone.

"Yeah, that would be best," Daisy added. She gave me one last hug, and I disappeared out the door.

I honestly couldn't believe this was happening! I started on my way to the train station, a new life awaiting me.

Hey! zoeysha here. Lol I started writing this on the toilet. Sorry this chapter sorta dragged on and was short, but this was an important part. I also want this to end out as a decently long book, so I'm going to add these little chapters.

As you can see, I am putting a quote that relates to each chapter in the multimedia. I hope you like the idea!

I really appreciate all the reads in this story, so early into it! Thanks sm for that! I hope I make you laugh when Peach messes with Daisy lol. And readers, please comment any suggestions or things you like about the book. Appreciate it! ◡̈
