Chapter 8

*1st person pov*
Soarin said I wasn't allowed to practice anymore, not till after the foal is born, Spitfire's orders. I can't believe I have to wait so long. As if I had enough trouble in my life, now I can't even fly! Ugh. I looked from my left side to my right, I sighed. This dumb dim-lit room is all I've seen for days. Soar was off to work, so this place was even more boring. I looked to the clock ticking on the wall, I feel like I'm dieing every second. I decide I would take a few steps, I couldn't fly because the extra weight was supposed to make me fall down. 'Yeah right, I'm Rainbow Dash, I can carry a little extra weight!' I thought to myself. I lifted my wings ready to fly. I lifted up, but then I fell. Ouch! I guess I was wrong. I sighed, and walked to my kitchen lazily. Tank was asleep in his own little bed, I decide not to mess with him. I walked over to the fridge to grab a soda. 'Well, this can't kill me.' I said to myself. I looked over to the soft-looking sofa. I walked over and plopped down. 'Ahh.. this hits the spot.' I sighed. I turned on the T.V. and flipped to The Trotting Dead. My all-time favorite show. I was fangirling about the episode when Soaring walked in. He smirked an all knowing smirk. He trotted over and sat next to me. I smiled at him. 'He's really nice, even though I'm really stubborn.' He looked over at me, and emerald shine in his eye. He was smiling.
"Hehe, Dash, are you day dreaming again?" He asked me. I nodded of course. He laughed. It was around an hour later when he stood up. He walked over to me and kissed me. I blushed and smiled. He was too sweet.
"Soar, you don't have to take care of me y'know," I paused. "but I guess I like your kisses." I said blushing. He looked at me and smiled.
"Its okay Dashie, I care about you, just let me do this." He said back to me. I giggled a little. Of course I bursted out laughing. I couldn't even stop snorting.
"This is just *snort* to funny, and mostly cheesy!" I laughed out. He looked at me, trying to hold in his own laughter. To late, the whole room filled with laughter. Even Tank woke up, but he slowly went back to sleep once we stopped. This was all way to cheesy. He walked back over to sit on the couch.
"I'll just order something later." Soarin said.
I laughed a bit more, but this time not as loud or long. I stood up, trying to flap my wings once more. Soarin looked at me worried.
"Dash, I don't think you should-" He was cut off by me flying. I flew a little higher, but my wings gave way to the weight again.
"Dash!" Soarin screamed.
Yeah I was falling, but Soar swooped up and cought me. He was holding me in the air.
"You can put me down now, ya big oaf!" I say jokingly, but Soarin replied with a more serous tone.
"I don't want to, you could have gotten you and the foal hurt!" He said worringly. I looked in his eyes, I saw genuine concern. I softened up.
"I'm sorry, you're right Soar." I said before nuzzling into is soft cheast fur, in a hugging like manner. Soar softened up too, and he rested his head on my shoulder.
"Promise you won't do it again?" He asked seriously.
"Yeah." I said in return.
It will be harder than I thought to stop flying. I just wish this will go by faster, I was never prepared to be a mother, I know Soar will be a great father though. He will keep the foal safe, safer than it would be with her. I start to get ready for bed. I start to feel queasy, so I gallop to the bathroom. Ugh, I feel so sick. This sucks. After my little vomit session I finnaly get to head to bed. Soarin was waiting for me. I trot on over to get on my side of the bed. I snuggle up to him. The heat from his body soothing me to sleep. Slower, slower, gone.
