Chapter 15

Jack and I ran past where we were standing and upstairs to where the space expo was, looking for the siblings.
"Seth! Sara!" We called out but got no reply.
"Seth! Seth!" Jack called out.
"Sara! Where are you? Sara!" I called out.

Jack then saw two kids with blonde hair and went up to them, "Seth, Sara." They turned around but weren't the Seth and Sara we were looking for.
"Sorry." I said and we ran through another crowd, still calling out for them but still no reply.

We eventually found the performance which, from what I heard from it, was complete crap and not worth watching.
Jack and I searched the watching crowd for Seth and Sara.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to see Seth's worried eyes. It seemed they were looking for us as well.
"There you are!" I said, "Jack! They're here!"
Jack came pushing through the crowds towards us, "Didn't I tell you two to stay by my side?" He said to them but Seth was paying more attention to me than him.
"Emily, are you alright?" He asked as Jack told Sara what the point of the bad performance was.
"Of course, why?" I replied.
"I felt your pain earlier. Was someone hurting you?" Seth said.
My eyes widened, "You felt my pain?"
He nodded, "I suspect my sister might have already told you, but you are my Amoria."
I nodded, "Yeah, Sara told me about that."
"Well, Amoria's have a connection between them, allowing them to sense when the other is in danger or in pain." Seth explained to me.
I nodded again, "Well, yeah, someone was hurting me before."
Immediately, Seth's look of concern was replaced by rage.
"But don't worry," I reassured him, "Uncle Jack already took care of it."
Seth relaxed and nodded.

"Jack Bruno." Sara suddenly said and we turned to see a tall, black figure step forward onto the stage.
"Oh god." I muttered, fear washing over me and Seth immediately wrapped his arm protectively around me and Jack wrapped his arms protectively around both of us and Sara.

The siphon had survived.

The crowd, obviously not knowing what this thing was, applauded it and it raised its arm, preparing to fire.
"Sara!" Seth yelled and Sara pointed to the lights, making them swing from the ceiling and knock the Siphon into the screen behind it.
The crowd erupted in cheers and applause.
"Let's go. Let's go!" Jack cried and we pushed through the crowd away from the stage.

Jack opened an exit door and we all ran through out of the space expo and down some stairs where we came to another door which lead us into the lecture hall.
We walked out, nice and easy, trying not to attract any attention.
Sara had a hold of my hand and Seth had a hand on my back as we walked behind Jack through the Casino.
He was about to turn a corner but stopped sharply, pushing us back.
There were three men in black suits walking where we wanted to go.
"Other way. Other way." Jack said to us.
We ran in a different direction into the money machines.
We turned corner after corner, not really knowing nor caring where we were going but just wanting to get away from the government men.
Seth had a tight hold on my hand as I constantly looked over my shoulder to see if we were still being followed.

Suddenly one man appeared in front of us and we all stopped and gasped.
We turned different ways and realized we were surrounded by government agents.
Seth put a protective arm around me as we walked backwards slowly.
"Sara, are you listening to what I'm thinking?" Jack asked and Sara nodded, stopped and grunted as she threw both her hands out toward the money machines, causing every machine to jackpot which caused a distraction.
"Go! Go! Move it, move it!" Jack cried and we ran again.

"This way!" I cried and ran towards the elevators where I knew Alex would come out and she did, standing and staring at the Jackpot chaos.
"Got to go!" Jack cried, grabbing her and pulling her with us.
"What happened to laying low?" She called out over the noise of everyone screaming with joy.
"Who lays low in Vegas?" I replied.

We found the cab, but also a couple of people to help us get away.
Harlan and the two nerds piled into the cab to lead away the government agents, while we burrowed the caravan.
"Now, you have to be convincing, you have to pretty much drive like a maniac." Jack said to Harlan before we separated.
"Oh, don't worry, that's how I drive everyday!" Harlan replied and got into the cab.
"Thank you so much for the caravan Harlan." I said and he smiled.
"No problem, little lady. I needed to get it on the road somehow. Might as well do for you and your Uncle." He replied and I smiled back at him.
