Everyone in the Edge was in the clubhouse out of the extreme heat. Summer was the gang's least favorite season. They rather be stuck outside in a blizzard then the crazy heat. Hiccup and the gang had to be caution when outside. Especially the dragons. The weather was so hot that even the tiniest spark of heat will burn all of Dragons Edge and everything with it.

"Ok gang let's see what needs to be done." Said Hiccup going through some dragon eye notes. Snotlout just groaned.

"Why do we have to do stuff! Besides who made you leader?!" Snotlout said. Everyone just glared.

"Just wondering."

Hiccup rolled his eyes. The gang did their best to keep the island moist but with the water supply running low they had to stop and look more into their own survival.

"Cause we have to make sure the dragons have plenty of water and make sure the Edge doesn't burn to the ground!" Growled Astrid. Hiccup nodded.

"Astrid's right Snotlout, we can't let the Edge burn. Besides I don't want to go through what me and the twins went through again." Hiccup said. The twin shuddered.

Three years ago Gobber asked them to help gather up all the dragon traps since Berk made peace with them and they didn't want any wild dragon stepping in them. So they set out to do their own set of traps when the twins or Tuffnut got trapped in one himself. While Ruffnut tried to get help Tuffnut's dragon Barf and Belch stayed when a typhoonmerang tried to attack and causing Barf and Belch to get caught in a hidden trap. Barf fired causing a spark of fire and a forest fire began.

Hiccup and Toothless were worried that something happened to the twins and set out and finding a forest fire, the twins, and a typhoonmerang. Toothless's tail caught on fire and they crashed next to the twins. The typhoonmerang covered Hiccup and Toothless from the flames when Tuffnut yelled 'Barf hiccup and toothless out right now!' The typhoonmerang let Hiccup and hiccup found out that the dragon was torch that they took care months ago. Together they helped the forest fire stay away from Berk. The forest fire is what Hiccup and the twins really don't want to revisit.

The gang nodded. "Okay so what's the plan for today Hiccup?" Asked Fishlegs. Hiccup layed down his notes and smiled.

"Nothing hard." Looking at Snotlout who rolled his eyes. "Were going to filled the trofts with water for the dragons and fill up our supply as well. Make sure there's no Dragon Hunters and then we should be good." Hiccup explained.

"That doesn't seem so hard now does it Snotlout!" Astrid said.

"Shut up Astrid!"

"Alright gang let's get to work." Hiccup said. Hiccup and Astrid went on the patrol, while Snotlout and the Twins went to fill the dragons trofts. Fishlegs was doing a quick check up on the supplies and water. Everything was going fine. Or was it?!

Two men were hiding in the bushes watching the Dragon Riders leave. One of them smiled.

"Here's our chance! We have to strike it now!" One of them said. The other nodded.

"I agree, let's go!"

The two men swiftly crossed the forest and got close to Dragons Edge. One of them lit an arrow with fire and aimed it straight at Dragons Edge. He pulled the string to his shoulder and focused his shot. He found the clubhouse that Viggo described and he was about to let go when a a zippleback startled him and he let the arrow go but not in the direction he wanted it to go. Into the forest. Small flames grabbed the earth and the flames grew higher. The Dragon Hunters gasped. They were supposed to hit the clubhouse not the forest. The men took of the beach where their boat was hidden and sailed of looking in the direction of there mistake.

"Ryker's going to kill us!"

Hiccup and Astrid found nothing on there patrol and headed back to Dragons Edge.

"No Dragon Hunters." Astrid reported. Hiccup nodded and sighed. His mind was wandering and he had a feeling something's wrong. It hit like a punch. Hiccup looked around the island finding nothing but seeing Morningglide and her parents. Morningglide and her parents decided to stay and Toothless was overjoyed to hear that.

"Hey Hiccup are you okay you seem a little off today?" Questioned Astrid. Astrid was worried she seen him look all around the island as if looking for something. Hiccup had a far away look in his eyes and that made Astrid concern.

"I'm fine Astrid but I well... I feel like something's wrong." Hiccup explained looking down at the island. Now Astrid was concerned.

"Like what?" She said flying closer to Hiccup. Hiccup closed his eyes.

"I don't know but something is going to happen and I'm going to find out what." Hiccup and Astrid flew when something caught Astrid's eye.

"Hiccup look!" She said pointing behind snow cap peak mountain. A small strand of black smoke expanded behind the mountain. Hiccup shook his head.

"I don't know. Let's get a closer look!" Hiccup and Astrid flew around the mountain and gasped. The whole forest was on fire. Dragons were fleeing. Hiccup was right something WAS wrong.

"Come on!" Hiccup yelled. Hiccup flew closer to the flames and saw a blue with a hint of yellow gronkle cornered by the flames and trapped against a stone wall. Hiccup eyes widened. What did he say when he didn't want to visit the forest fire again!

"Astrid get the gang!" Hiccup ordered.

"What about you!" Astrid said. Hiccup pointed to the gronkle and she understood.

"I'm going to help the dragons get out and take them to the stables. We have to stop the flames from reaching the Edge. The flames will reach the Edge quickly! Now go!" Hiccup said as he and Toothless dived into the fire. Toothless landed in a clearing and hiccup ran to the blue gronkle.

"How about we get out of here little fellow." Hiccup said petting the Gronkle. The gronkle whimpered. "Toothless wings!" Toothless flew and flapped his wings. The wind made the flame spread away from his rider and the gronkle as Hiccup herded the gronkle away. "Okay bud we need to get out of here!" Hiccup said mounting Toothless. The gronkle was behind them. The flames was getting thicker and it was getting really hard to see. The smoke was burning Hiccup's lungs and he started to cough. "Let's...g-go bud!" Toothless flew out of the flaming disaster. Hiccup was coughing uncontrollably. Hiccup looked where him and the gronkle was at and gasped. It was already burned to the ground. Hiccup kept looking back to make the gronkle was still behind them. The gronkle was scared and hiccup knew this wasn't going to be easily forgotten.

Ash and soot covered Hiccup's brown leather armor. Hiccup looked at the forest and couldn't believe it. Everything was on fire. Hiccup really wished the A team was here. They could use all the help they could get. Hiccup landed at the stables and helped the gronkle get comfortable and saw that all the water trofts were full. Thank you Snotlout!

Hiccup left the Edge finding morningglide and her parents helping the dragons. Toothless saw this as well and felt pride fill his chest. Toothless never stopped loving morningglide as his own daughter. Hiccup smiled he loved seeing Morningglide in action. But right now Hiccup needed Morningglide's help.

"Morningglide I need you, can you help us!" Hiccup yelled from the air. Morningglide flew and chirped. Toothless nodded. "I guess that's a yes?!" Hiccup said.

"Ok morningglide I need you and your parents and any other dragons that can help grab buckets from the stables and go to the pond or any water you may find and help put out the fire." Hiccup commanded. Morningglide nodded and made a dragon call loud enough for the dragons can hear. Sooner or later her parents and all the Night Terrors, with Sleuther right behind came up to Morningglide. Soon the dragons left and headed to the stables.

"Toothless let's see if any other dragons needs help." Toothless nodded and took off. Hiccup was worried. What if they didn't put out the fire in time? What would happen to all the dragons? Hiccup was so into his thoughts he didn't see Astrid and the gang coming.

"Hiccup the fire is spreading fast! What do we do?!" Fishlegs said. Astrid flew closer to Hiccup and saw uncertainty in his eyes. Hiccup closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Okay gang here's what were going to do. Ruff, Tuff you and Snotlout will make a border and fight fire with fire. You remember what we did years ago?" The twins nodded.

"Okay. The rest of us are going to help build a fire wall. If you see any dragons in trouble get them out and help them get to the stables." Everyone nodded and flew. Snotlout and the twins looked for an area that they could use to put out the fire. Snotlout found a clearing with a line of trees. The twins saw it to and landed. They had to work quickly or they just miss there chance to put this fire in this part of the forest.

"Okay Tuff fire!" Yelled Snotlout.

"Barf, Belch light it up!" Tuffnut said. Belch let a line of gas flow around the trees and watch his twin brother Barf spark it. A line of fire caught the trees on fire.

"Hooky fire!" Snotlout yelled pointing at the trees. Hookfang let all the fire he could and more trees caught on fire. "Okay dragons wings!" They all yelled in unison. All the dragons flew to the air and gave everything they got. The fire was slowly fading but it wasn't enough.

"Come on Hookfang you can do it!" Snotlout encouraged. Hookfang gave other wingblast harder and stronger. The flames faded. Tuff yelled at his dragon.

"Barf, Belch spin!" Barf and Belch flew and did exactly what there friend Torch did. The zippleback spin so fast there riders had trouble keeping track. Barf and Belch opened their wing and all the flames that was alive and terrify was now gone. Snotlout and the twins cheered. They mounted their dragons and took off to do the same process.

Hiccup and Astrid were having their own problems. Fishlegs found an injured terrible terror and took it to the stables. "We could really use Fishlegs help!" Astrid said. Hiccup looked around the scene before him. Part of him thought this was just a nightmare and he would open his eyes finding everything safe and sound but Astrid help him know that this wasn't a dream. The hard way!

"I know but we have to deal with it. Come let's get started before those flames reach us." Hiccup said pointing at the flames only twenty feet away. Hiccup and Astrid fired into the the dry ground and made a thin line of dirt to help stop the flames. Without anything to fuel the fire there's no fire. "Astrid continue the fire wall. Me and Toothless are going to clear the area."

"Just be careful. You been more exposed to the fire than the rest of us." Astrid said concerning. Hiccup smiled. "I'll be fine Astrid. I promise." With that said Hiccup and Toothless left. A line of trees were about to be burned by the fire but Toothless got there first and blasted all the trees to oblivion with only three plasma blasts. "Great job, bud!" Hiccup said petting Toothless's head. Toothless purred and leaned into Hiccup's touch. "Let's go!" Toothless blasted into the air making a whistling sound in the smoky air. The sun looked like coals in a furnace in the forge. The air was filled with black smoke. Toothless started to cough and made they flight a little uneven. Hiccup rubbed Toothless's head in comfort. "It's okay bud. Let's go. Me and you need some air." Toothless didn't argue with that and shot higher into the air. Once they past all the fire filled island they took a deep breath.

"Okay bud we need go back and see if Astrid needs any help." Toothless grumbled and took off. Astrid finally finished the fire wall for this section. The fire almost got Astrid and Stormfly but they got out of the way quickly before the flames can claim a victim. Astrid felt like her chest was on fire. The smoke was making it difficult to breathe. Astrid looked up seeing a black shape and breathe a sigh of relief. She was constantly worried for Hiccup.

"Astrid are you okay?" Astrid nodded. "I'm fine but the flames. How are we going to get it under control?" Astrid asked. Hiccup looked around. The fires were slowing but it was still heading towards the Edge. "I don't know." Hiccup admitted. Hiccup felt awful. His team needed him and yet he had nothing! Astrid just stared. Hiccup always had a plan. Astrid looked into Hiccup's eyes and saw uncertainty, guilt, and fear. Astrid never saw these in Hiccup's eyes before. It was always courage, hope, happiness. No matter the situation. Astrid flew closer and grabbed Hiccup's hand. Hiccup looked at Astrid's hand that layed upon his.

"Hiccup your not alone were with you all the way, even if you don't have a plan we'll make it through." Astrid said calmly. Hiccup let the words wonder in his head and smiled. Astrid loved his smiled. His eyes sparkled.

"Thank you Astrid, I don't know what I would do without you!" Hiccup said smiling. Astrid smiled.

"You welcome, now leader what's the plan?" Asked Astrid. Hiccup gave one final look and he mentally slapped himself. It was so simple. "Fight Fire with fire." He mumbled.

"What did you say?" Asked Astrid. Hiccup smiled.

"Fight Fire with fire!" He said louder. Astrid just stared.

"Aren't the twins doing that?" Astrid said. Hiccup nodded. "Yes but they are only doing it on one area at a time. We need to do the whole forest at the same time!" Exclaimed Hiccup. Astrid was confused. How in Thor's name are we going to do that?

"We need every dragon on the island. All those dragons we rescued at Viggo's base, they could be a huge help. All we need his their fire power and wings. Astrid that's all we need." Hiccup said. Astrid nodded in understanding.

"Okay. I'll go get all the dragons from the stables and bring them here." Astrid said flying off towards Dragons Edge. Hiccup watched her fly and looked back at the once green forest. Once they were finished the forest will be black as Outcast Island. It would take everything they got to finish this, but their Vikings. It's an occupational hazard.

"Come on bud, let's get started."

Astrid flew to the stable and jumped off. All the dragons were huddled closely to each other and whimpered with fear. This was their home. What will the dragons do if their home was burned to the ground.

"Okay guys we need all of your guy's help. What do you say!" Astrid said calmly. All the dragons roared in agreement. Astrid smiled. "Lets go!" Astrid hopped on Stormfly and herded all the dragons out of the stables. The smoke made things hard to see. Astrid flew in front with over a hundred dragons. Astrid scanned the forest trying to get a glimpse of Hiccup and Toothless. Astrid grunted. How was she going to find Hiccup when Toothless blends in with the smoke and ash. Astrid growled in frustration.

"Come on girl. Can you find there scent?!" Astrid asked. Stormfly chirped and lifted her nose. Stormfly roared and fly straight. "Found them girl?!" Stormfly nodded. Astrid let Stormfly lead her through the flames. Once they broke through a thick wall of smoke Astrid and the dragons stopped. Finding Hiccup and Toothless working on putting out a fire. "Come on guys we have to help him." Astrid ordered as Stormfly dived. The dragons followed her lead and landed near Hiccup who looked like he's been in mine forever.

"Hiccup are you alright?" Astrid said running over to Hiccup. Hiccup nodded.

"I'm fine. We need half of the dragons to fire on the forest and the rest to throw in the wind." Hiccup said. Astrid nodded.

"I'll take fire." Astrid said looking at the sky. Hiccup nodded briefly.

"And I'll take wind. Let's get to work. This is our only chance. Let's make this count." Hiccup said. They mounted their dragons.

"Good luck." Astrid said as she flew off with half the dragons. "You too." Hiccup whispered.

"Alright guys let's get our home back!"

"Hey Snotlout!" Astrid yelled. As she was flying over the flames she spotted Snotlout and the twins with Fishlegs putting out the fires. They didn't look good. Especially their dragons. Snotlout looked up to the sky.

"What are you doing Astrid!" Snotlout yelled. "And what's with all the dragons?" Snotlout said confused. Astrid just rolled her eyes.

"Come on we need your guy's help." Astrid said gesturing to the flames. Snotlout nodded and went to fetch the twins and Fishlegs. Soon both Snotlout, Fishlegs and the twins joined Astrid.

"Hey where's Hiccup?" Asked Fishlegs. Astrid pointed to a line of dragons by the forest line with Hiccup in the lead.

"Oh. What's the plan?" Fishlegs said.

"Fight Fire with fire!" Astrid said. The twins cheered.

"Yes this has been the greatest day of our lives. Not even Loki day can compare this!" Laughed Tuff. Everyone just glared.

"Tuff this isn't the greatest day of out lives. Our Home is being destroyed by this fire and we to help Hiccup put it out!" Sneered Astrid. Tuff just rolled his eyes.

"Alright don't need to be so judgy." Tuffnut muttered. But Astrid still heard.

"Tuffnut when this is over I'm going to make sure you won't live another day!" Glared Astrid. Tuffnut gulped.

"Let's go we are going to fly right in the center and work our way outward. When I give the signal get out of the way of those wingblasts." Astrid said. Everyone nodded.

"Okay NOW!"

All the dragons fired. Sending more smoke and ashes. The riders made and imaginary circle and made their way slowly outward. The dragons fired over and over again. The smoke thickened causing the riders to cough. Some of the dragons flew down to Hiccup cause they had no more fire let in them. Astrid could the Edge of the forest and spotted Hiccup and Toothless waiting. Astrid nodded to Stormfly.

"Okay girl. It's time. Let's hope this works!" Astrid said nervously. Stormfly shot a blast into the sky and made a loud bam as it blew up and rained back down to the black earth. All the dragons looked at the signal and moved out of the way. Some of them went down to help Hiccup and Toothless. Astrid and the others did the same.

"That's the signal!" Hiccup yelled. Hiccup pointed his sword inferno to the flames and all the dragons took flight and flapped their wings as hard as they could. The flames swayed back from the dragons. Hiccup set the dragons all around the forest. It seemed like a invisible battle was happening. Fire and wind. Fire wasn't going to give up yet.

"Come on! We can do this!" Hiccup encouraged. Toothless roared his loudest and the dragons flew higher and pounded their wings harder. Each dragon flapped there wings harder and harder. With each flap the wind would overpower the flames slightly. And that slightly might be all they need.

"Guys it's working!" Fishlegs said. Who was with Hiccup and the gang. The gang didn't want to assume anything yet. "We have to keep going the flames are fading slowly." Hiccup admitted.

"Come on Stormfly! You can do it!" Astrid said petting her friend. Stormfly snorted and flapped harder. Astrid smiled. "That's my girl!" Astrid yelled happily.

Hiccup looked at the fading flames and sent a look at the typhoonmerangs and nodded. All the typhoonmerangs on the island flew into the air and spun like a boomerang. The flames circled around each typhoonmerang creating a spectacular swirl. The gang eyes widened. The typhoonmerangs spun faster and soon the swirl became no more and became a shape of a Night Fury. All the dragons watched as the flames rose into the air. Each typhoonmerangs opened their wings making the fire blow up around them. The flames gave up and disappeared. Only slow ashes and smoke was left. The gang cheered.

"We did it!" Yelled the twins. Fishlegs hugged Meatlug. All the dragons roared in happiness. Sure their home was all burned to the ground but some of the forest was still green where the fires haven't had a chance to reach yet. Astrid pumped her hands in triumph. "We did it Hiccup! We actually did it!" Astrid cheered. Hiccup laughed hardly believing it himself.

"I can't believe it either!" Hiccup said stunned. Toothless nudged his rider and Hiccup laughed. "Thank you so much bud!" Hiccup said with gratitude. Toothless returned the gesture by knocking him to the ground and licked him eagerly. "Toothless get off! You useless reptile!" Hiccup laughed. The gang laughed. Hiccup rolled away and tried getting all of Toothless's slobber off of him.

"You know that doesn't wash out!" Hiccup said. Toothless laughed but earning a glare from Hiccup. Hiccup slinged the slobber off of him and aimed it at Toothless. Slobber landed on Toothless's nose. Toothless growled. "Hey it's not my fault." Hiccup said innocently. Toothless just looked away making Hiccup laugh.

Hiccup looked around and saw the gang cheering and petting their dragons. Hiccup smiled. They did it. They saved their home. But what made Hiccup think was what had cause the fire. Hiccup eyes looked around. The dragons didn't seemed hurt or the ones to cause the fires. It had to be something else.

"Come on gang let's get back to the Edge." Hiccup said. The gang didn't argue. The dragons followed them back to the Edge. Hiccup took up the rear when something caught his eye. Down in the forest was a arrow. Hiccup's eyes narrowed.

"Huh... Toothless let's land by that clearing over there." Hiccup said pointing to the clearing best to the arrow. Toothless dived. Astrid saw this and watched Hiccup get off Toothless and walk to a tree. Astrid flew down to where Toothless was and walked over to Hiccup.

"Hiccup what are you doing?" Astrid asked. Hiccup didn't answer. Hiccup was holding something in his hands. "Hiccup what is it?" Astrid questioned. Hiccup still did t answer. Astrid walked closer to Hiccup finding an arrow in his hands. Hiccup's knuckles were white as he curled his fingers around the arrow tightly.

"Dragon Hunters!" Hiccup said closing his eyes. Astrid eyes widened.

"What so are you saying the Dragon Hunters were the one who started the fire!" Astrid said with anger. Hiccup nodded. Astrid sneered. Hiccup didn't blame her. Hiccup felt angrier than Astrid. This was way to far. This had to end. Hiccup's anger grew and the arrow snapped in two.

"This ends now!" Growled Hiccup.

Not much of an ending but it works for me. Sorry for the long wait. I'm running out of ideas. I really need your help. Anything! I wanted something that included all the dragons and a lot of teamwork and thought hey why not a forest fire. Also what gave me the idea was the last part of Shell Shocked Part Two.
