(Anybody here know how hard it is to freehand symmetry? That's what killed me the most when I was drawing this baby out. In case you can't see it, her eyes are a deep purple color. Also, anybody know what movie this creature is from? This is my own take on it if it were in the HTTYD Universe)

Biography : Telisi was rescued from poachers when she was still in an egg and after discovering the mother had died, the egg was offered up as a gift to Iver's parents, who were expecting. Telisi hatched during the night on a full blue moon, coming into the world just meer minutes after Iver was born. This phenomenon earned the two the titles of lunar sisters, and the human and the dragon were allowed to grow up and train together.

Tragedy struck the dynamic duo at the age of twelve, when Dragon Hunters raided the island Iver's tribe had made camp in, and slaughtered whatever and whoever they could. Being the assumed sole survivors, Telisi and Iver soloed things out for a year before meeting Hiccup and the rest of the gang. Trust and respect was exchanged on both sides when Iver and Telisi aided Berk during the war with the Beserkers.

Since then, the two have taken on the roles of explorers, moving in and out of Berk's boundaries. They do their best to visit the place every once in a while any time their around.

About : Her saddle looks very much like the ones the Na'vi used for their Ikrans. The only differences is the the handle for it is a part of the front of the saddle, not the thing that goes on the Ikran's antennae things on their head. The handle itself dips in the middle to not only allow for a more comfortable grip, but to also act as a chin rest for when Iver wants to lay down mid flight.

And there is a second pair of footholds that are lower than the first and situated closer to the Ikran's body. This allows Iver to switch from hovering to actually sitting without running the risk of falling.

Telisi is very playful, and will try to strike up a game whenever she gets the chance. The most common ones are games of tug-o-war or playful wrestling with the other dragons. She is very gentle with the young, the old, and the sick, no matter if they're human or dragon.

She is close friends with the gang and their dragons. Due to spending her entire life by Iver's side, Telisi has developed a very strong bond with her rider, and is naturally very protective of her, going as far as to fight eels any time they became a threat to her safety. The two even have their own secret language that is made up of clicks, whistles, wails, and high pitched calls that often resemble bird noises.

Her flame color is a deep blue. Since her legs and arms are literally her wings, Telisi has an odd shuffle walk that Iver occasionally makes fun of.

All in a playful manner of course.

Description / Extra : Mountain Banshees make their homes in mountainous cliff edged and jungle filled islands, and thanks to that, they are very fast and very agile dragons. Colorations and markings vary among individuals, making each and every Banshee as unique as they could be. These dragons get their name not only from the regions they like to reside in, but also from their high pitched scream-like screeches.

A Mountain Banshee's teeth, which are an inky black color, have the ability to fold backwards into the mouth, like a snake. They have two pairs of eyes. One set, which is noticeably bigger, is situated in front of the smaller eyes.

The larger eyes are considered the normal ones and can see anything front and back within a one sixty degree field. The smaller pair of eyes allow sharper vision and the ability to see things that are pretty far away. Banshees sleep in whatever position they find to be most comfortable to them, but the most common positions are either hanging on a cliff or wall, sleeping like a camel, or sleeping like a giraffe.

Telisi herself prefers to sleep like a giraffe.

(Honestly go look up pictures of that. It gave me a surprise when I first saw those images)

Mountain Banshees are partially nocturnal, and can function optimally with only six hours of sleep. Their modes of attack are bites, their sharp claws on their wings and their fire, which takes the form of a continued stream and/or fireballs. The colors of the flame take on the whole color spectrum, but the most common flame colors are blue and purple.

Mountain Banshees are extremely social creatures, and can actually fall ill from the stress that being alone will bring. They communicate with clicks, whistles, screeches, wails, screams, hisses, and high pitched noises that resemble bird calls. Mountain Banshees mate for life, and when one partner dies, the other will fly as high as they can manage before letting themselves fall to the ground while making no effort to slow themselves down.

Unless eggs have been laid, then the remaining Banshee will stay alive just long enough to take care of it's young.

Mountain Banshees are omnivores, so their diet consists of meat, berries, grubs, and roots. They also have excellent hearing. A healthy individual can live up to 100 - 150 years and is considered to be fully grown at 20 years of age. 

Each Banshee has little dot patterns that run over their body, and these patterns are not only unique to the individual as well, but also have the ability to glow during the night, the brightness of them pulsing in time with the creature's heartbeat. Telisi's bioluminescent patterns are floral and swirly.

Looks : Hourglass body figure with light tan skin that is pockmarked with small pale colored scars that she's received over the years. Mid back length somewhat wavy white blonde and black streaked hair that is held back in braids and a ponytail. (Iver's Braids are styled the same way as you see with Daenerys Targaryen's Season 3 Hairstyle) Eyebrows are on the thinish side with a viking rune painted on with black paint between them, and her eyes are a deep grey color. Black face paint markings cover her cheeks and nose along with her bottom lip and chin. She has a somewhat sharp jawline and slightly hollowed cheeks. A small flock of bird silhouettes, each one resembling someone or something important to her that's been lost, is tattooed across her collarbone and curves halfway around the base of her neck.

Clothing : Long sleeve black knee length tunic with slits in both sides that start at the hips. Dark tan leather armor covers her shoulders and chest. Dark grey scarf is wrapped around her neck in a way that it forms both a hood and a mask that cover's her nose and mouth. Black arm bracers extend from her wrist to just before her elbow, and the bracers are designed in a way that it covers both her middle and pointer fingers on both hands. A braided silver chain long enough to wrap around her waist a couple times makes for a sash. A string of light tan leather is tied to the sash, and has different beads, small rocks, and little jewels hanging off of it. Dark grey leggings that are mostly covered up by the black shin high boots with are lined with white fur.

Biography : Iver was born on the night of a rare full blue moon. Minutes later, the Mountain Banshee egg that had been placed by her crib began to hatch, and thus, Telisi was born. Seeing how they were born on the same night and roughly around the same time, Iver's parents decided to give her and Telisi the title of Lunar Sisters.

Because of that, Iver and Telisi were raised together and trained together. One was never without the other, and they shared a bond unlike anything anybody in the tribe, except for the elders, had ever seen. One of the elders took the two in when it came to training, and under her guidance, the two became an unstoppable duo.

They were one when they were in the sky.

At the age of twelve, Iver and Telisi experienced tragedy when someone in the tribe betrayed their location to a group of Dragon Hunters, who were especially interested in the Mountain Banshees that the tribe used. After her father was killed while defending the dragons from being slaughtered, and their current home going up in flames, Iver was urged by her mother to mount Telisi and fly as far away as she could. She did so, not without a fight, with nothing but a few supplies, a couple of weapons, and the clothes on her back.

For a year after that, Iver went solo with Telisi, finding it rather hard to trust anyone she crossed paths with. It was only after she met Hiccup and the Gang that she finally allowed herself to open up again, and she became fast friends with the Berkian teens, eventually trusting them enough after a couple of adventures to tell them her story. After that, Iver stayed around Berk long enough to aid them in the war with the Beserker Tribe, and with old fears starting to set in again, she and Telisi left Berk with the promise to visit every once in a while.

A promise that Iver kept four or five times a year with the addition of keeping the group updated of her movements through Terrible Terror mail. For the next three years, Iver dedicated her life to the role of explorer, and has been moving in and out of Berk's outermost borders. She eventually returned to Berk for what seemed to be a regular visit, only to be dragged into an adventure that completely swept her head over heels.

About : Iver loves Telisi more than anything, viewing the dragon as not only her sister in flight and best friend, but also as her last remaining tie to her Nothrake family. She sees the Gang as her best friends, brothers, and sisters, and will not hesitate to make fun of them in a sibling manner. She's extremely loyal to those she cares about, and is great at keeping secrets until they are wanted to be revealed.

She's not afraid to call something as she sees it. Each bead, rock, and jewel that's on the leather cord that she has tied to her sash represents an important or special moment in her life. Hiccup had actually been nice enough to provide her with a scale from each of the Gang's dragons as a way for her to remember them before she left Berk for a life of exploration.

Iver to this day considers those scales to be her lucky charms.

She's confident in her ability to take care of herself and Telisi, and gets ticked off any time that ability is questioned due to her age. Iver, once she's convinced to join by Hiccup and Stoick, becomes the youngest Dragon Rider in the group. She enjoys nicely cooked mutton chops with mead every once in a while, and would kill for pomegranates.

Iver knows how to make good mead. She would rather climb a rocky mountain cliff than swim. She knows how to swim, but doesn't like it.

Description / Extra : The Nothrake were a nomadic tribe of vikings, constantly moving from one island to another, and never staying in a single place for longer than a couple of weeks. Unless they came across a particularly good island, in which case they would build a small scale village. Depending on what the island provided, some Nothrakians decided to stay behind on them, starting up small scale colonies.

They were polite and soft-spoken folk, and often believed in peace first before anything, but that didn't mean they didn't know how to fight and defend themselves. The Nothrake Vikings were great warriors in their own right, and were known as such by other viking tribes. They made peace with any draconic wildlife that had also taken up residence on the islands the Nothrake landed on, and formed relationships with the dragons that benefited both sides.

Nothrakians used face and body paint to symbolize their roles in the tribe, as well as their ranks, tattoos to signify someone or something important that was lost, and leather cords with keepsakes on them to represent important or special memories. The cords are called Memory Cords, and the longest one ever reached almost a meter in length and was used as both a sash and a belt. The Nothrake believed in something known as Lunar Siblings.

Lunar Siblings happen when two or more people or creatures are born around the same time on the same night. It is believed that Lunar Siblings were supposed to be born in the same family, but for whatever reason, the gods decided to separate them into different species and families. Full Blue Moon Lunar siblings were the rarest ones of all, the phenomenon only happening once every few years.

Iver and her family had been living on an island, one that had been home to a large number of Mountain Banshees, that was only sixty seven nautical miles northeast of Berk on the night they were attacked.
