Fron drivers Kurt Busch and Alex Bowman getting hurt in the NextGen car, Denny getting spun under caution last week by William Byron, Hamlin saying the NextGen car needs a redesign along with getting disqualified at Pocono after crossing the finish line first. Yeah, it's been a rollercoaster year for the 11 team. With the risk appearing bigger than ever getting involved in the big one, Denny manages risks really well. In the 2020 Daytona 500, Denny led down the backstretch on the last lap when Ryan Newman and Ryan Blaney blew by him with a big run too much for Denny to block. Still, Hamlin managed to fight back to win. Denny knows in order to finish 1st, 1st you must finish, and he'd love to rematch Tony Stewart's win record and get into the round of 8.
