Max Verstappen

Due to grid penalties by drivers like Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez, this will give the newly crowned 2 time world champion a clear shot at Carlos Sainz for the win. Victory will mean a lot for Verstappen and Red Bull in many different ways. Should he do so, he'll match Sebastian Vettel's record of most wins in a season, clinch the constructors championship, and do it in honor of co-founder and owner of Red Bull Dietrich Mateschitz who passed away yesterday. Verstappen and Perez will have extra motivation to make a 6th 1-2.

This has been a frustrating season for the 2 time Cup champion, contract negotiations all season, and being knocked out of the playoffs in the round of 16. All he cares about now is getting another win before leaving Joe Gibbs Racing for Richard Childress Racing in 2023. The next JGR win will mark the organization's 200th Cup win so the 18 will be fighting at the front today
