A non playoff driver and a part timer with nothing to lose and everything to gain. Bayne, who was at the Cup Series from 2011-2018, only had 1 win. But that win was the Daytona 500. Now, in JGR equipment, he wants to show the world that he still has what it takes to be competitive. While the odds may be stacked against him, Bayne could get a breakout victory today

Denny Hamlin

This season could be described as a rollercoaster for Denny Hamlin. He's had several highs and lows from as high as 2 victories at Richmond, his hometown. Plus, a 1st time win in the Coca Cola 600, to the lows of literary being disqualified from a win at Pocono, having to complete sensitivity training from an insensitive tweet, and now seeing his driver at 23XI Kurt Busch announce his full-time days are done. Throughout it all he's still here with a chance to get to the final 4 at Phoenix. If the 11 executes a clean race or in what crew chief Chris Gabehart calls a "green" race, Hamlin could punch his ticket to Phoenix.
