The penultimate race of the year has arrived. Allmendinger has been supremely strong all year on days where he just gets those top 5s and top 10s at times when he doesn't have the speed to win. After a rough start to the round of 8 things looked pretty dire. Now, Allmendinger is 5 points above the cutline going to one of his best racetracks, Martinsville. The 16 team has hardly made any mistakes all season. With how chaotic Martinsville can be, it will be critical for them to keep level heads to get to the final 4 to fight for the title.
