Y/N's POV

Today is a special day.

I stretch in my bed, wanting to get up, but lie there instead. 

I wonder if anyone will--

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Y/N!" The current residents of the Destiny's Bounty barge in my room.

"I can't believe you're seventeen!" Shrieks Jay. 

"Yeah, it was just yesterday you were this tall." Cole grins, motioning with his hand. 

"Just think, in a year you'll be eighteen!" Kai exclaims. 

"I'm not that much younger than you guys." I roll your eyes, sitting up in bed. 

"Still younger, though!" Jay reminds me. "Anyway, we've got a whole day planned for you!" 

"Thanks, guys! You're so sweet! I do want to say something first, though." I feel butterflies in my stomach, and my heart beats quickly. 

"Go ahead." Cole says encouragingly. 

I glance at Harumi, and stand up. She gives me a small nod. We really wanted to come out, and what better day than to do it on my birthday--right? 

"I--we've been wanting to tell you." I take Harumi's hand. "Ru and I have grown close since the day she came here, and we have feelings for each other. We're dating down." I kiss her cheek softly, and she blushes with a smile. 

"I called it!" Kai crows. 

"No way! I said they were girlfriends first," argued Cole. 

"Technically, Pixal and I were the first to pick up their emotions." Zane corrects. 

"But I said it first. That's what matters." Counters Kai.

"You guys were talking about it?" I ask in surprise. 

"You didn't include me!" Jay crosses his arms. 

"Well, whenever you talk about Nya, you don't include me!" Kai says, a little smugly. Payback!

They go on bickering, then Lloyd speaks up. Out of all people. 

"Are you forgetting it's Y/N's birthday?" 

They all look guilty. 

"Sorry Y/N." They chorus. 

"Well, we support you." Kai smiles at me. 

"Definitely." Cole nods. "You guys make a cute couple."

"I'm a little relieved you fell for Harumi Y/N." Jay admits, you knew he always feared for you whenever you would date someone, and apparently he was okay with Harumi. "And you know I'd always support you." 

The encouragement was near endless, and I break into a grin. "Thank you guys so much. It means a lot to me."

After my favorite breakfast made by Master Chef Zane, we all did my F/A (favorite activity). "Is it time for cake yet?" Cole groans, and Kai slaps him on the back of his head. "You're not supposed to tell about the cake, Cole!" 

"I think Y/N probably knew she's getting a cake, Kai." Cole whines. 

"Yeah, I'd sue you if you didn't!" I joke with a grin. 

"Cole would never forget getting anyone a birthday cake Y/N, so I think we're safe from being sued." Lloyd grins. He didn't seem bummed out about finding Harumi didn't love him anymore. I guess he's known for a while, anyways. 

"PRESENTS!" Jay yells, coming in with Zane, Pixal, and Nya, who are carrying a bunch of bags and boxes. 

"Not yet, Jay! There's a schedule." Nya reminds him. 

"Shouldn't Y/N pick?" Jay argues, and turns to me.

"Ummm. . . Whatever you guys want is fine?" 

"ROCK PAPER SCISSORS SHOOT!" Is all I hear now. Harumi tugs on my sleeve gently, and takes my hand, leading me out of the room and into the next. We sit down on the gaming room's floor, the beanbags around us like a kingdom. She pulls me close to her, and our legs wrap around each other. "I'm so lucky to have you, Y/N. You mean so much to me. I will always love you, no matter what. Everything doesn't always work out, but I will always be here for you whenever you need me. Now, close your eyes." She instructs me, so I do. I feel her lift up my hand and slip something on my finger. "Open."

I gaze at the ring. "It's a promise ring." She tells me with a smile. "Do you like it?" 

"I love it, Ru! It's beautiful, thank you so much!" I guess she spent some of whatever she made at Steep Wisdom where she was hired by Misako and Wu to get me this. 

"Isn't that what girlfriends are for?" Harumi winks, and she leans in close. Our lips meet, and soon I'm lost in the dreamy world of her lips against mine. 

"Wowwww. . . I didn't know you were that far along!" I hear Kai's laughter. 

"Yeah, I didn't say it was okay to kiss her yet Harumi!" Jay adds, his brother instincts kicking in. 

"These will look great in picture frames!" Cole grins, waving the camera. 

We two blush. "Hey, we were just--"

"Making out? Yeah, we saw." Kai grins. "Come on, we have a birthday to celebrate!" They walk away. 

"Thanks again, Ru." I grin, kissing her tenderly. "I was going to say, before they interrupted the end to our kiss, that I would always be here for you, too." 

"Thanks Y/N." Harumi smiles. "Remember I'm here for you. Always." We get up, and she gives me one last peck on the lips. 

How did I get so lucky?

(I hope you liked it! I wanted it to be sweet, and yeah it's like a little less than 150 words than a normal chapter sorry 🙈but I hope it was a satisfying little fluffie!! The picture above is the ring. I didn't describe it because I had the picture so I took the chance to be lazy. Also sorry I have taken FOREVER to update R U Mine~I have been obsessing over my newest work, an original fiction called Lucien. It would be super cool if you checked it out. It's so hard to balance time for everything, especially my stories! I've also been busy other ways but wanted to finish this chapter for my special flames! -Ash)
