Hey guys, it's ash_da_trash/blackfyrefantasy97, but you can call me Ash. This is my first fanfic, it's a Ninjago fanfiction. So please be patient with me and my irregular updates. Thanks. 

So before we start, I just wanted to say I have been a huge Ninjago fan since I was 8. However, absolutely none of it belongs to me, and I give all rights/ownership/blah blah etc. to the people who actually do own Ninjago. I'm just a fan who really likes this fandom and am super excited to write some fanfiction on it! 

Also yeah, the cover art (Harumi) is mine. I am hoping to add all original art or picture, etc., but I will say when it's not my art and if I know the artist I will write their name in. One of my pet peeves are people who take credit for stuff that's not theirs. 

I've only watched up to season 9, Hunted, of Ninjago, because Netflix hasn't put on anything past that. So if I get some future stuff wrong, I'm super sorry. I don't know. Also please comment and correct me for spelling/grammatical errors, name mistakes, and any plot stuff I messed up or missed from seasons 1-9 or additional notes that would change the story from season 10 forward. 

I really hope you like this reader insert. You are Jay's cousin in this. I want anyone to be able to relate to this, so I'll probably do a little roleplay where you pick what happens to the character and choose that chapter ending. To eliminate the fact that all parents, life situations, and characteristics are different, I've decided to kill off Y/N's parents in a car crash that included a drunk driver hitting them. Obviously, I know some of your parents aren't dead, but I thought everyone could relate to Y/N more if we excluded specific parent/family details and made the ninja more of your family. So you moved in with Ed and Edna and Jay when you were twelve. You are now "fifteen, going on sixteen" (Sound of Music reference their, sorta), and live in the Destiny's Bounty with the ninja. Yes, you know about their powers, but have none of your own (for now--that may or may not change). I'll give different talents/skills to choose from during the chapters which will affect the outcome of the next chapter or so. Hope this makes sense. I also want to do something where you pick your own ending, maybe not this fanfic, but I'm hoping to. 

Setup: Harumi survived the building crashing. She is taken prisoner by the ninja to protect her from the other Sons of Garmadon who want revenge for leaving them behind and also to as punishment for her crimes. I may or may not change the title of this book. Hoping to publish chapter one soon. I will also always add a warning if there is swearing, triggering subjects, abuse, etc. I want my readers to enjoy the story and be fully aware and partially in control of what will happen in this story! 

Lastly, I would love to hear your requests/suggestions/etc., but I can't promise I will take any or all of them now. In the (hopefully near) future I certainly will!
