People always keep saying that "If you're awkward, just embrace it!" -well, I do all that jazz, and it doesn't do me dirt. 

I'm shy when people first meet me and I'm sorta bad at conversation, so for the most part I'm just staring at people from the corner of a room doing a little weird neck wiggle dance as I wave or smile. So when new people come up to me and we have a good conversation, then the questions come to a lull... my awkwardness really  shows.

So I start to do my neck dance thing, and people stare at me like I'm an alien- so like the strange kid I am, I just blantantly reply "I'm usually awkward."

Then they smile, nod a little, and walk away slowly.

It's like the more awkward I am, the more I try to embrace and own it, and then I somehow get more awkward by embracing it. It's a never ending vicious cycle that I get into. 

*sighs*
