Looking down upon other religions does not make your religion great, it only creates a wrong impression of your religion to be bad. But the truth is none of the religions in the world talks about hating other religion.
They all talk about acceptance, peace and humanity and lead the same destinition but in different ways.
If you have not taught this from nurturing your religion then it is not that your religion has taught you wrong but you learnt wrong.
