Last night I had the strangest dream

An ocean filled with blood

Not my blood, just yours

It shimmered in the sun

Sharks could smell it all around me

they flew through the air

hoping for a bite.

Then I saw it to my left

the home I would never have.

One of a large family

all functioning together

I smiled at the moment

They seemed happy

Then the darkness settled in

I knew I couldn't win

This war in my head

As I lay warm in my bed.
