Chapter Two: Massacre

The final six months had been worse than the first four. The first four had been to learn his base skills, the most important ones. The six months after that was to hone his skills, to get stronger and faster every day.

All Might had finished Izuku's training with a reassuring word.

"I hate to say it, but you've got more skill in your pinkie finger than most pros have total! With the brains you already had, the body I helped you train, and a sprinkle of luck you could probably take on anyone not in the top 50. Maybe even lower than that. Don't think I didn't notice your stance changing over the months. I don't know any myself, but I know how a martial artist carries themselves, even if they are rare nowadays. Now, go out there and show them that Deku can do it!"

Izuku nodded to his mentor, determined to do his best.

A side note, if you will. All Might may in fact be the worst teacher to walk the earth, however he is an incredibly intelligent hero, when he's not sharing the braincell with Izuku.

That is how Izuku was taught about pressure points, and how to exploit an opponent's habits for your own gain. He taught Izuku about the various quirks he'd faced, and how he'd found the weaknesses in all of them.

"Every quirk has a weakness my boy. Hellflame can burn the user if used for too long. My own quirk used to break my bones, until I got the strength under control. You find the quirk's weakness, you win. Many heroes, including myself, are overly reliant on our quirks. Even underground heroes. Take Eraserhead as an example. He doesn't look for weaknesses or any quirk tells. He just activates his quirk and jumps into the fray. It's worked so far, but he's too reliant on his own quirk. See what I mean?"

Izuku had nodded, understanding. If he trained, and prepared just a little, Izuku could take down anyone if he put his mind to it.

  ___________

Izuku walked up to UA, not nervous in the least. He'd trained long and hard, and could probably take on any of the other examinees with relative ease.

The greenette reached the auditorium and sat down, unfortunately next to an explosive blonde pomeranian.

"You'd better stay out of my fucking way Deku.." he growled.

  Izuku didn't even acknowledge him.

"Good morning everybody! Can I get a HEY??"

  The room was painfully silent.

"sheesh, tough crowd.. Alright, let's get this thing started!!!" Present Mic continued.

The loud pro explained the exam. There were four kinds of robots, three of which you had to destroy. The fourth was an obstacle put there to irritate you, and you had a ten minute time limit inside the fake city.

Present Mic was interrupted by a boy asking about the zero point robot, but the rest of the explanation passed without incident.

_________

Izuku stretched before the huge doors leading into the fake city. His mind was racing a mile a minute.

*The pamphlet said all the robots have an off switch, but I don't have time to waste looking over every robot I come across.. it's unlikely the robots will be really sturdy, they're just to test kids, not real pro heroes..*

The doors opened, and a loud "START!" Echoed through the speakers. Izuku was off like a bullet, running straight at a two pointer and springboarding off of its head onto a one pointer behind it. The two pointers head went flying off, and the one pointer went down with a light kick.

"These are really fragile... Excellent. Now, let's go get some points.."

Izuku springboarded off of another two pointer, grabbing the edge of a fire escape and swinging himself up onto a roof. The greenette broke into a sprint, leaping over alleyways, heading deeper into the city.

  Fife points so far.

_______________

Aizawa leaned forwards in his chair.

"Green haired kid in battle centre B. The one with 47, no, 49 points."

  Nezu pulled up Izuku's file.

"Izuku Midoriya. What about him?" The animal asked slyly.

"I want him in my class."

Every hero in the room turned to the grouchy pro.

"Sorry Shota, don't think I heard that right, say it again?" Present Mic asked, wiggling his finger in his ear.

The bedraggled man huffed, turning to Nezu.

"I want him in my class." He repeated.

The rodent in the not-a-throne cackled, scrolling down Izuku's file.

"You're going to want him even more when you see what his quirk is Aizawa." He said.

  Aizawa raised his eyebrow.

"The top scoring examinee this year, in both villain and rescue points, Izuku Midoriya. His quirk is..."

Aizawa stared up at the screen alongside the other teachers in shock.

  Name: Izuku Midoriya.

  Age: 14.

  Birthday: 15 July.

  Quirk name: N/A.

  Quirk description: N/A.

  Quirk abilities: N/A.

  Quirk biology: N/A.

Physical description: Green hair, green eyes, diamond arranged freckles on each cheek, curly hair.

  Ailments/allergies/diseases: Quirkless.

All Might beamed with pride in the back of the room.

*You've already gained their attention my boy.. and this is against robots! Think how impressed they'll be when you knock out any human opponent in one blow!*

________________

Izuku tore the head from a one pointer and threw it at a three pointer, taking its head off too.

"What's that, like 80 points..?" He huffed. "I lost count a while ago.."

There were only two minutes left of the exam, and Izuku had been a relentless robot killing machine.

He leapt across rooftops and slid down fire escapes to destroy a group of robots, then went back up the fire escape or drain pipe and went running across rooftops again. He was probably the deepest in the city at the moment, most of the examinees were fighting off to the left, because all that was left on the right of the city was Izuku's path of carnage.

There was a crash, a crunch and an explosion, and Izuku looked back to see..

".. Is that the zero pointer..?" He asked in disbelief.

  Izuku weighed his options.

There were undoubtedly more robots further on, and he could get a decent amount of points before the exam ended.

On the other hand, people could get badly hurt by the zero pointer.

Izuku went with his nature, and ran across the rooftops.

__________

Ochako was not having a good day.

First she woke up cold, because she couldn't afford any heating.

She almost missed the exam entirely, and probably flunked the written test.

Now she was trapped under a slab of concrete, with a giant robot trundling along towards her.

She was about to accept her fate, when the robot just.. stopped.

A cute green haired boy walked out from between the caterpillar treads.

  "Hey, are you okay?"

______________

Izuku slid down the fire escape and jogged up to the giant caterpillar treads.

"If I were an off switch.. I'd want to be in an easily accessible place to anyone.. so that means.."

Izuku walked right beneath the Zero Pointer, reaching up and flicking the almost completely hidden switch labelled 'TERMINATE SIMULATION'.

He stepped out the other side and spotted a girl stuck under some concrete.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked.
