"Hey, have you guys heard about it?" Vincent asked as he munched onto his burger.

"What is the 'it' are you referring to?" I returned an answer in the form of a question.

"Kimberly McBride and Andrew Cadwell finally broke up for good."

"So? What's the big deal?" I raised an eyebrow which clearly said I was not interested.

"Since you live in a cave all this time, allow me to update you." Logan pointed his spoon at me as he spoke.

"They're the couple who could not seem to decide if they want to break up or stay together." Logan added after swallowing down his food. Honestly, I couldn't care less about other people's relationship status when I just ended my own. I simple rolled my eyes at Logan and was returned with cheeky grin.

"Hey Amber, is it true that Kimberly and your brother broke up for good this time?" I heard someone from the back asked a question and the whole canteen was a little softer.

"It's none of your business." I turned around to find Amber scowling at that person.

"I also heard that you're the one who forced them to break up. When Kim's parents simply wanted an apology, you're too stingy to give one."

Without a word, Amber charged towards the brave guy and grabbed his collar. If looks could kill, that guy would be six feet under ground.

"If you actually believed anything that came out of Kimberly McBride's filthy mouth, you must have an IQ of an egg."

"Amber people are looking!" A girl was trying to persuade Amber to rein in her temper.

Amber lifted up her head to see that everyone was giving her a judgemental look. She immediately loosened her grip on that guy's collar and took a step back. Confusion masked Amber's expression and before her friend could pull her away, the canteen door swung open.

The whole canteen literally became quiet in an instant. A girl with puffy red eyes entered the canteen with a group of friends. I flickered my gaze over to Amber and noticed that she was already glaring at the group who just came in.

Vincent nudged me in the elbow and whispered, "This is getting interesting."

It was obvious that the girl who looked like she had cried was Kimberly.

"Oh hi there, relationship wrecker." Kimberly's friend sneered at Amber as her upper lip curled in disdain.

"I can't believe she'll do that to her twin brother."

"No wonder Kimberly and Andrew were not talking to each other today."

"It's not her brother's nor Kimberly's fault that she cannot find a boyfriend."

Murmurs that were intended for Amber to hear flew around the canteen with words that were filled with insult. Amber clenched up her fists and she suddenly slammed on the table. It effectively shut all the murmurs and all eyes were on her.

"Hey what the heck is your problem?!"

"My problem is that you guys are judgemental pricks. You've only heard Kimberly's side of the story and you're so quick to pin all the fault on me."

"If you're innocent, why do you have to be angry? Well, it's clear to me that you are not as innocent as you claim to be!"

"Who likes to be accused of doing something they didn't? If you think that I should be keeping quiet and allow you guys to insult me, you're out of your mind."

Everyone was quietly observing everything that was happening in front of them, including me. Kimberly stepped forward and tugged on her friend's shirt.

"Hey, I suppose Amber didn't do that on purpose.. I've gotten used to her demanding attitude." Kimberly said as she cast her eyes downwards.

"Stop acting like you are the victim. You know the truth better than anyone else." Amber fired back at the same time a tear rolled down Kimberly's cheek.

Before anyone could open their mouth to say anything else, a guy who looked almost like Amber dragged her out of the canteen.

"I guess that's the Andrew Cadwell you guys are talking about?" I asked Vincent as everybody continued with what they were doing before the interruption.

Vincent and Logan were nodding their heads when Tyler came into my line of sight. He pulled up the chair beside Logan and sat down quietly.

"What's with the sad face?" I asked while waving my hand to get Tyler's attention.

"I'm sad that people are spreading terrible rumors about Amber." Tyler end off his sentence with loud sigh.

"We've heard about them. Don't worry, we ain't gonna believe any of that crap." Logan had a smirk playing on his lips.

"How's Amber doing?" Apparently, my question caught everyone off guard, because they stared at me with wide eyes.

I arched an eyebrow as I was baffled by their reaction.

"How do you know that chick?" Vincent scratched the back of his head as he was trying to figure out the reason.

"It's a long story." I chuckled at the memory of how Amber and I met. I returned my gaze to Tyler and gestured for him to answer my question.

Tyler caught my hint and his shoulders gave a small shrug. I have no idea what happened but I knew in my gut that Amber was innocent. From my interaction with her, she seemed like a nice girl.

I walked down the corridor to my locker and could not help but notice someone else's locker. Big words painted in blue were all over that person's locker.

'AMBER CADWELL = BITCH'

Photos of Amber were pasted all over her locker and there was big crosses on her face. The person who vandalized Amber's locker also drew several thumbs down on it.

People were starting to gather around Amber's locker and flashes could be seen, indicating someone was taking a photo. I curled up my fists and stomped towards the growing crowd. My hands were covering the cameras of those nosy students who were busy getting this online.

"Stop taking photos!" I growled at the girl who could not stop snapping photos of the locker.

"Stop blocking my view! Get lost if you don't want to be included in the photos!" The girl tilted her chin in defiance and started taking photos of me to prove her point. Suddenly someone came from the side and pushed me out of the spotlight.

"Hey. Stop pushing me." I grabbed hold of Amber's hand to end this pushing thing.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"

"I was trying to stop photos of your vandalized locker from making an appearance in the cyber world."

"I appreciate your help but you can't really do anything about it." Amber's gaze softened upon hearing my explanation.

"Don't tell me you're just going to let this slide? You and I clearly know who did this." I pointed in the direction of Amber's locker and noticed that the crowd was dispersing.

"We've got no evidence okay. Besides, I don't want to drag my brother into my problem."

The both of us heard someone called out for Amber and she gave me a shy smile before walking towards her friend. I ran a through my hair as I headed towards the school janitor's room. I politely requested them to help Amber clean up her locker before more people could lay their eyes on it.

I exited the room to see that Kimberly McBride strolling happily towards my direction. I snorted as she did not seem like someone who had just got dumped.

"Hey, you." My voice boomed across the hallway which attracted unwanted attention from the passersby.

Kimberly McBride stopped dead in her tracks and if my eyes were not playing with me, her cheeks actually flushed red. She even tucked a stray hair behind her ear as I planted myself in front of her in a couple of strides.

"May I help you?" Kimberly battered her eyelashes at me as her lips stretched into a coy smile.

"What do you think you can gain from vandalizing Amber's locker?"

"I don't know why you're talking about." Kimberly said as she feigned interest in her fingers. She shot me a knowing look before going past me. However, she suddenly tip toed and whispered into my ears.

"Report this to the discipline master if you have any proof. Let me give you a friendly advice, stay away from Amber Cadwell, she's bad news."

I was unable to come out with any response because Kimberly's group of friends appeared at that exact moment. A smirk was spread across Kimberly's face as she gave me a flirty wink. All I could do was to glare at her and stomped off without saying a word.
