I put on the suit that Cisco gave me to test my speed. "Cisco, if I help people, I need a different suit." He laughed. "I'm serious, I look like an idiot in this thing." "Relax, I already have an idea in my head."

I shot down the airfield. Lightning started to crackle around me. Blue lightning. I tripped and watched as my service over seas flashed through my mind.

Flashback (2 Years Earlier)

My friend, David, and I were sitting at a table in our base camp's bar. A woman brought our beers over. I was talking to David about what I was going to do when I got back home. He was about to say something when an explosion sounded from outside. David and I got up. I pulled my gun out of it's holster. I cocked it and walked over to the door. I pushed it open slightly when another explosion went off. I fell back. Blue lightning shot inside and killed a few Officers. When it stopped, there was a guy in a full suit of body armor. I pointed my gun at him. "Pull the trigger and you die." He had some kind of a voice modulator. I put the gun down. Three shots rang out. The next thing I knew, David was laying in a pool of blood where he was standing a few moments ago. The armored guy sped out. I let out a sigh. I stood up and ran over to David. "David, c'mon man, wake up." He didn't move an inch. I put a finger to the pulse point on his wrist. "Nothing." I grabbed my handgun and stepped outside slowly. The guy was gone. I ran over to the armory.

Flashback End

I grabbed my arm, which I was sure was broken. I stood up and walked over to the STAR labs van. I got inside, after Cisco and Caitlin got in. "What happened?" "I remembered a few things from my tour." I explained everything.

When we got to the lab, my arm was completely healed. "That cannot be right." "What?" "Your arm, it's no longer broken." "Guys, there's a fire downtown." I stood up and sped off.

I tried running around the fire to absorb the air, didn't work. Neither did moving my arms in a circular motion. I kept trying and trying and ice shot out of my hands. "What the Hell." I tried again, and in a matter of seconds the fire was out. "Guys! Barry's awake!" I heard Cisco holler to Wells and Caitlin.

I sped back to the lab and saw the guy they called Barry, standing around, confused. He said something about Joe and Iris and ran out.

We were trying to find a way to control my ice and speed powers. Cisco walked in with what looked like granola bars. "These should help you keep control over your powers and keep your calories up. I had to make two different batches, yours are more powerful than Barry's. You have a faster metabolism than him." "Thanks Cisco." I said, taking the one he gave me. I went home to get some well needed rest.

Cisco called me in the next day to show me my suit. I walked into the Cortex. "This was easy." Cisco said with pride. My suit looked like Barry's suit, but white. It had some type of metal chestplate, metal plated shoulder armor, and a thin sheet of metal around the shins. "We had some Magnesium Based Alloy lying around, so I integrated it into your suit. It's the strongest and lightest metal in the world." "Thanks Cisco, it's awesome." I used my speed to put the suit on. I froze.

Flashback (2 Years Earlier)

My Commanding Officer called the Lieutenants into the armory. We held a funeral for David the day before. So everyone who knew him were still getting over losing a fellow Marine. I walked into the armory along with the other Lieutenants. "Alright, I know everyone is still grieving, but we have to keep moving forward. We have new suits for combat." General Bronson told everyone in the room. He revealed them. They looked like the one the man wore to kill David. "They are constructed with a New Magnesium Alloy." The guy who killed David was an American soldier. I stepped out. This isn't good. I can't trust anyone here anymore. "Gardner, you okay?" I looked up at the woman, my girlfriend, Skye. "No, someone here killed David. That suit was the one the guy wore to kill him." "We will figure this out." "We can't trust any higher rank. It could be any of them." I said with genuine anger and fear that one of us could be next. This isn't good at all. I stood up, kissed Skye, and went to the bar. I can't lose Skye, ever.

"Dude, you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine." I lied. Cisco's alert went off. "There's a robbery at the bank, there is some kind of storm surrounding the whole building." I sped off to take care of it.
