"So you're telling me that you hand chopped every single bush that was at this spot?" Kate chuckled

"Yep. I broke them all with a machete and the power of my mind"

"I find that hard to believe" Kate smiled as Autumn gasped dramatically

"I'm hurt. You don't appreciate my effort" Autumn pouted

"Autumn. You can't even open the door properly, how am I to believe that you cleaned out an entire section of a forest by yourself in just a few hours?" Kate chuckled

"I don't know. Maybe... Just MAYYBEE. There's something called your imagination. Just believe it" Autumn snickered

"Oh wow. The relationship hasn't even started yet and you're already lying to me" Kate laughed

"Hey! It's our first date!"

"So!? We're beyond that point"

"oh!?"

"I know that you peed your pants at your first audition" Kate smiled

"Oh- never mind" Autumn chuckled

"God you're so cute"

"You thought about pee and thought I'm cute? I-"

"Shut up" Kate giggled before bringing the thin wine glass to her lips

"Why don't you make me?" Autumn questioned with a raised brow

Kate's eyes met hers from across the blanket as a small smile reached the corner of her lips

"Don't tease me Autumn"

"Or else?"

"Or I'll come over there and show you who's really the top here" Kate said in a low voice

Autumn's lips parted to speak but she stayed silent, trying to contain her laughter

"Okay daddy, I see you" Autumn chuckled

"Ughh why can't you just let me feel confident!" Kate groaned before her fingers gripped a few green grapes, tossing it at the actress

Autumn chuckled as she tried to doge the incoming fruit missles but also tried to catch a few with her mouth

"Because you're also lying on our first date" Autumn snickered

"I- touche"

"Look at us. Lying to make ourselves feel better" Autumn laughed

"See, we're perfect for each other" Kate smiled

Autumn's eyes locked onto the brunette who's attention was on the small ripple waves of the lake by their feet. The way those brown eyes lit up under the hanging lights on the trees made Autumn smile to herself

"Yeah. Yeah we are" she whispered

"Hey, you never told me what happened to you and Brooke?" Kate asked

"Ugh, that" Autumn rolled her eyes

"It's okay if you don't want to talk-"

"No no. I want to clear it all up. After you headed upstairs, she started acting more flirty" Autumn said

"Oh... And .. Did you?"

"Fuck no" Autumn said
"I kept putting her off but she refused to leave, I was so close to tossing her ass out like Will Smith's friend on Fresh Prince but then she mentioned something that just... Made me sit and think about something for a while"

"And what was that?"

"It's.. Something that happened between us a while ago, I rather not talk about it but trust me, it's nothing to worry about. She just caught me off guard with it. She kept talking and talking and I was just drained of everything, especially since it was three in the damn morning. So I simply got up and went to bed, I cared not if she burned the house down, I just needed to be away from her at that point. So yeah, that was it. The next thing I knew was I saw you rushing out the kitchen in the morning" Autumn said

"Oh.. I'm sorry about tha-"

"No no. Don't apologize. It's a dumb situation that happened. It was a misunderstanding but it's cleared now. I just... I just hope you know how much I actually care about you. I would never do something like that with anyone else because I know what I want and who my heart belongs to. That's you Kate" Autumn muttered

The brunette's heart so on the verge of flatlining. Autumn always had a way of getting her all worked up for every reason possible

"I swear you're going to make my heart explode" Kate groaned before hanging her head low, hiding that pink blush on her pale cheeks

"Come here" Autumn mumbled

The brunette giggled and crawled her way over towards her date. Autumn's hands hooked around her back as Kate straddled the girl's waist with a wine glass still in her hand

Their chests pressed together while Kate's lips hovered over the raven hair girl's. Autumn's fingers ran from the dip of Kate's hip and travelled under her shirt, grazing against her soft skin and making her suck in a breath

Autumn's fingers on her body had a mind of its own, turning the keys to her heart and bringing her senses to life

Autumn sighed before placing the side of her cheek against the girl's chest, holding her tight in her arms while her fingers still glided along her skin

"Autumn" Kate whispered

"Mhm?" the actress hummed before tilting her chin up to stare into those coffee brown eyes

"You're beautiful" She whispered, catching the girl off guard resulting in a small burn on her cheek

"Oh my God, are you blushing!?" Kate giggled

"WHAT! NO"

"OH MY GOD YOU AREE"

"no I'm not! You're just! ......Drunk!"

"Idiot" Kate chuckled

"Dumbass bitch" Autumn rolled her eyes

"The thing that led us here in the first place" The brunette giggled

"Hey, you were a cunt"

"No. You were" Kate glared

"Yes. Yes I was" Autumn laughed

The way the moonlight reflected out on the midnight lake that pushed and pulled the waves so calmly was nothing compared to the beauty that lingered in Kate's eyes

Autumn found herself lost everytime she looked at the brunette. Her heart would fail to keep calm and her walls all crumbled bit by bit

Kate was something different, something pure, something special to her life

And only God himself knew how badly she wanted to make the girl smile everyday for the rest of her life

"I'm really happy I met you" Autumn mumbled

"Wha- you're so weird" Kate chuckled

"Shut up and let me APPRECIATE YOU" The raven hair girl groaned

"nO"

"Kate!"

"What!"

"You're cute" Autumn giggled leaving the brunette speechless on top of her

"Wha-"

"Shh, you're just really cute" Autumn said

"I... um... Thank you" Kate chuckled softly

"You're also hot but that's a conversation for another day" Autumn laughed when Kate's hand playfully slapped against her shoulder

"Idiot"

"Yeah well, I'm your idiot" Autumn whispered before nuzzling her face against the girl's chest again

Kate shook her head smiling, a burn in her cheek that she tried to fight. Never had she had to fight her smile because it pained her cheek from constantly grinning

But then she met that playful side of Autumn that made her melt. That side of the girl that only she had seen and it made her proud to be the person to experience it. But that playful side had a way of holding her heart and making her fall even harder for her Co star

"Do you know how many times I wanted to throw that deal out the window and just kiss you" Kate chuckled

"Do you know how fucking hard it was to control myself? You're so goddamned beautiful, I catch myself just staring at you and when I'm not, then I'm thinking about you" Autumn said causing the girl to giggle

"Oh? And what at you thinking about?" She questioned

"What it would feel like to hold your hands. What it's like to wake up next to you when the morning came or hold you in the night" Autumn whispered before sinking her fingers deeper into the girl's back, causing her to suck in a breath

Her heart was already exploding in her chest and the loss of oxygen was going to make her head spin, Kate's body felt fragile to the words leaving Autumn's mouth

"I remember this one time we were in the car and you were leaning your head against the window, the sun was beaming down on your skin and it looked so golden. Your eyes were still sleepy yet they never looked so mesmerizing. My heart kept racing just looking at you. I just... I really wanted to hold your hands. Even if I couldn't kiss you, I just wanted to hold you" Autumn whispered

"And why didn't you?"

"I thought you'd be weirded out. I mean, I'm your Co star aren't I? We have sex but that seems to be it. Well. That's what I assumed it was for you" Autumn stated

"Oh no" Kate mumbled before placing her glass to the flat ground

Her fingers hooked under the girl's chin as she settled herself better on Autumn's lap, she tilted the girl's head to face her. She wanted those blue eyes to hear the words that would replace those insecurities

"I've always wanted you. I tried to ignore it but it was always there. I tried to deny it but it kept coming stronger. I've wanted you for so long and I will always want you. I'm yours Autumn. I don't want to be anyone else's but yours" Kate whispered before leaning down and placing a soft but tender kiss on the girl's forehead

Autumn's cheek glowed a slight shade of red as her smile shined like the ray of the morning sun, lighting up Kate's heart

"You pwomise?" She pouted

"Yes. I pwomise" Kate chuckled

"Kate"

"Yes baby?"

"Can you kiss me again?" Autumn asked

"Ofcourse" Kate giggled before leaning down and placing a soft kiss on the girl's forehead

Autumn's childish giggle made Kate's heart finally explode in her chest

The brunette chuckled then tilted the girl's head to the side, placing two kisses on her left cheek then two more on her right, then coming to her nose

But then she stopped when her lips lingered above those familiar plump ones

Her eyes locked with blue orbs while her smile grew to meet Autumn's But the seconds that passed by was torture for the raven hair girl

Autumn groaned slightly before leaning in to close the gap between them. Her soft lips captured Kate's in a slow and sensual kiss, causing a slow burn heat to rise inside them

It was an answer to her questions. The questions of "Should I stop" or "Will this make her uncomfortable"

The answers given by a simple kiss that made them both realize. They belonged to each other.
