"I take back everything I said, this bitch is ANNOYING" Kate hissed as she clamped her palms over her ear

The bass of the speakers blasted through the entire house and shook the walls like it was paper. Kate was pulled out of her sleep by the one and only Autumn blasting music early in the goddamned morning

"Autumn!" she yelled but there was no response

I mean, obviously Kate. There's music playing

The brunette groaned when she realized she had to peel herself out of bed just to tell her annoying ass roommate to turn the damn music down

Don't call the cops, just call us

The brunette lifted the covers off her body and lazily made her way towards the door, stumbling and leaning to the side since her vision was still blurry

"AUTUMN" Kate yelled when she reached the door, watching the raven hair girl lean against her own doorframe with what smirked

It was as if she was doing it on purpose

"What?" the actress asked

"Turn it down!"

"Why?" She pouted

"BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP"

"We have to go into the studio, I like to be early" Autumn smirked

"WOULD YOU JUST TURN THE DAMN MUSIC DOWN"

"no"

"Thank yo- WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO!?"

"no means no. Have you never had rejection in your life Ms Wilson?" The girl teased

"What the- Just. Turn. It. Down"

"Say please"

"I'm not saying please, what the hell"

"Say please" She smiled

"Autumn!"

"Oh gosh, you're no fun. Just a lame ass" Autumn rolled her eyes and walked back into her room, leaving the sleep deprived brunette in the hallway alone

The music died down and Kate's heart finally returned to normal without the pounding in her brain.

The brunette lazily made her way back into her room and tossed herself onto her bed, desperately hoping that the sleepy trance she was in would continue so she could fall back into her dream

But as usual, they fail and all that was left was a sleepy Kate wrapped up in sheets and an annoying roommate who she wanted to strangle

The curtains add an orange glow to the morning light, every morning a perfect sunrise. It reminds Kate of of the times she slept in a beach hut, watching the ocean emerge under the golden shimmer. For a moment her mind conjured the rhythmic waves, soft on the sandy shore and felt her heart beat to the same slow pace.

She breathed in deeply. A new day had begun, day two of being in the new house. She reached her had out to the fabric, noticing how up close the light poured through every open space between fibres, no different from how it once came through like a beach-hut walls, illuminating like brilliant fire-flies each dawn.

The material was warm beneath her fingers which was far different the cold temperatures of last night and when the sun flooded the room, painting the colours anew, she felt a little of those golden rays soak into her skin

Perhaps it was a metaphor, Autumn was cold last night then the temperature changed with her mood. Her smile will surely be available today right?

Kate hopped into the shower and allowed the warm water to run over her skin, easing the tension in her muscles and melting the cold feeling she had last night. Afterwards, she threw on a simple jeans and a t shirt since she would be changing into another outfit on set, her brown hair rested over her shoulder as she applied a pink lip gloss, making her way out the room and down the stairs

The house was still empty as it usually was but this time, the scent of food filled its aroma. She furrowed her brows and walked into the kitchen area, only to see Autumn standing there with a black jeans and black bra-

"Sorry, I didn't mean to" Kate mumbled as she faced her eyes to the ground, avoiding Autumn's chest

"Sorry about?" she asked

Frankly, Autumn didn't care. She was accustomed to being half naked in her own home, her plumped and baked breast stood perfectly in her black lacy bra, she held a smirk on her face as she glanced at the brunette

Kate then glanced up and saw Autumn standing there confidently with a knife in her hand a toast in the other

Autumn looked beautiful in the morning light, the sun's rays peeked through the glass windows of the kitchen and brushed against her slightly toned skin. Her pink lips looked almost red and her icy blue eyes looked warm and her heart shaped face held a soft smile. Her dark hair looked almost brown from the sun's reflection, Kate sucked in a breath as she trailed her eyes over the girl

Autumn spread the avocado over the toast and sprinkled tomato on top as if it were cake decorations. There was a joy in how she did it, as if for a moment she was happily absorbed by a feeling of love that played in her subtle smile and soft gaze.

"Aren't you getting something to eat?" Autumn asked as she pressed her back against the wooden frame chair

Kate bit her lip nervously as she made her way over to the wooden table that held a tray of favour fruits and meat

"Our maid usually wakes up around 4 to start cooking, thought you'd want something simple so.." Autumn shrugged as she grabbed an apple

"Oh... Thank you" Kate mumbled as she took a sandwich

"Car is heading over here in such few minutes, I'll be on my way now" Autumn said as she stood to her feet, finishing the last of her toast

"Oh.. I thought we were going over there together" Kate mumbled

Autumn stopped in her tracks and turned to face the girl, a chuckle left her throat

"Just because I gave you a bear last night, doesn't mean we're friends. I ride alone and it would pretty good if you kept to yourself while we stay here" Autumn smiled sweetly and pulled a shirt over her head

"What the hell?" Kate asked

"What?" Autumn asked as she grabbed her sunglasses from the table

"What's your problem, you can't be normal either!?" Kate hissed

Autumn chuckled and grabbed her keys from the table, placing her sunglasses on her perfectly shaped nose

"I'm far from normal sweetheart" Autumn chuckled and stepped over to the backdoor, leaving Kate in the middle of kitchen by herself

The brunette rolled her eyes and buried her face into the center of her palm, she was tired of the constant mods swings and bickering Autumn would give. It's like one second she's calm and silent then the next she's the most closed off person with no self awareness for people's feelings. She was going around on a wheel and she was frustrated with it

The sound of an engine blaring through the entire yard was heard, It was Autumn's car leaving.

"I swear there's something wrong with that girl" Kate rolled her eyes

"There is but I'm sure she won't tell anyone" A voice rang through the kitchen

Kate's heart flapped and her arms went weak at the sudden voice, her head snapped in the direction of the person, only to see a short woman standing by the doorway

"Don't be scared, I'm just the maid" She chuckled

The woman seemed to be in her late 60's with dark black hair of which most seemed to be grey, but her dimple cheeks and bright smile pulled all the attention

"Oh thank God, my heart almost left me just now" Kate chuckled

"I'm sorry dear, I didn't mean to scare you" The woman laughed

"Don't worry about it, are you... Staying here?" Kate asked

"Something like that, I've actually been working for the Hester family for years now. I've known little Miss Autumn since her parent's honeymoon" The woman smiled

"Oh, so you've been with her for a while"

"I've seen it all, the ups and downs of Autumn" The woman said

Kate nodded her head slowly and turned to face the woman again, surely if she's been with Autumn for all of her life then she probably have an explanation or some sort of insight to why the girl acts the way she does

"Well don't just stand there, come eat something" Kate chuckled and motioned to the table

"Oh I don't want to oppos-"

"Come on, I'm alone in a big house. At least keep my company" Kate smiled, the woman chuckled softly and made her way over to join Kate at the kitchen table

"Do you like working for them?" Kate asked

"I've been working for the Hester family for over 20 years, I've gotten accustom to the heat and anger and the... Sudden changes in behavior. But yes, I actually do like working for them because believe it or not, Autumn is actually the sweet one" The woman chuckled

Kate's eyes widened as she stared at the woman dumbfounded by her words

"Autumn? Autumn Hester?" Kate scoffed

"Her family is... Different. They're different to deal with and most would run at first sight. But through it all, I've raised Autumn. She seems so tough and rough outside, not to brag but she's sweet with me" The woman giggled

"She is?" Kate asked

"She really is" the woman smiled

"What's your name?" Kate asked

"June, I'll be staying in the room downstairs and I'll be here for anything you need. Don't be afraid to call me, I'll literally wake at 1am to bake you a turkey and I'm not even kidding" She chuckled

"Really?" Kate giggled

"Really" the woman assured

"Well I'll make sure to not go easy on you" Kate giggled again

"Shouldn't you be on set?" the woman asked

"I should, but Autumn kinda left me here" she chuckled

"Oi that girl" The woman sighed
"She just likes to get her way, she doesn't understand the word no or sharing, I'm surprised she allowed you to even stay here. No offense" she chuckled

"I'm surprised she hasn't chewed my head off yet" Kate shrugged

"Maybe she's like a dormant volcano right now, awaiting something to activate it again" The woman chuckled

"You're really cool to talk to June"

"And you seem like a nice young lady, I hope everything works out for you sweetie"

Kate smiled as she glanced to the ticking clock on the wall

"She called a car, it should be outside. Actually it's been there for five minutes now"

"What!?" Kate screamed, jumping from her seat

"I'm sorryyy you just seemed like you needed to calm down" The woman chuckled

"Why would she take a separate car when there's one literally waiting outside?" Kate groaned

"It's Autumn Hester, who knows what goes on in that girl's mind"
