Muichiro's pov - week later

It was the day of the trip, I was packing my stuff before Yuichiro walked into the room. "I am glad you decided to go," he said. I smiled slightly and nodded "y-yeah" I answered simply and closed my bag after packing my stuff.

"So? Did you decide who you will be in the room with?" I asked. Yuichiro nodded "I'll be with Giyuu and other classmates, what about you? I am sure you'll be with Tanjiro but what about the other two people?"

I thought for a second "Tanjiro wanted Kanao there and maybe Nezuko... or Mitsuri I am not really sure"

"Well it won't be that bad, am I right? You are already really close with Tanjiro, Nezuko and Mitsuri really like you too" Yuichiro said.

I shrugged "I guess... but still" I sighed and picked up my bag before looking out of the window to see Tanjiro already waiting there. "Alright, I'll go now, Tanjiro is already waiting for me"
"Okay, I'll see you in school, bye" Yuichiro said as I walked past him "bye bye!"

I walked out of my house and waved at Tanjiro. He smiled and waved at me as well "Hi Mui" he greeted me and ruffled my hair. I greeted him as well and we headed to school.

When we got to school there was already our class waiting outside for the bus. Just a couple minutes later the bus came and the teacher started counting other students before we all got into the bus.

I sat down at one of the seats and Tanjiro sat down next to me. I took out my headphones and put them on.

The ride in the bus was fine, I stayed quiet while Tanjiro talked to others. I started to get a bit sleepy, like always, rides in a bus or a car always make me sleepy.

I tried to keep myself awake but it seemed impossible, it was like I fell asleep for a couple seconds and then woke up once again.

I sighed and rubbed my eyes before Tanjiro tapped on my shoulder "are you okay?" He asked worriedly. I nodded and smiled "yeah, just sleepy"

"You can get some sleep now, I'll wake you up when we get to the spot," he said. I shook my head "no no it's fine-" before I could finish, Tanjiro pulled me closer and laid my head on his shoulder.

"Just rest, okay? It's fine" he said. I could feel my cheeks heat up as I gave him a slight nod. I closed my eyes and without realizing I fell asleep soon after.

Tanjiro's pov

Just a minute later Muichiro was asleep on my shoulder. He looked so cute and peaceful while he slept. My cheeks turned into a light shade of red as I took out my phone, about to take a picture of him.

"What are you doing?" I heard Mitsuri say who was sitting behind us. She was looking at me with the 🤨 look. "You're not taking pictures of him... right?" She asked, slowly.

I laughed awkwardly and said "N-No! O-of course not". Mitsuri sighed "simp".
I gasped "s-simp?! You are calling me a simp?! Oh oh little girl let me remind you of that one time "IGuRo gaVE mE floWErs I Am So hAPpy" and those many times you made out right in class"

"...I-.." Mitsuri let out before looking down. "Yeah that's what I thought" I said and looked in front of me.

Like an hour later the bus stopped. I shook with Muichiro a bit to wake him up. He groaned and opened his eyes sleepily. "Good morning sleepyhead," I smiled.

Muichiro rubbed his eyes and looked around "we are here already?" He asked with a sleepy voice before I nodded. Muichiro groaned and buried his face into my arm, clearly tired.

I laughed slightly, "come on we need to get out of the bus so they won't wait for us" Muichiro rolled his eyes and nodded slightly, reaching for his bag.

We got out of the bus and immediately followed our teacher and classmates into the building.

We were all separated into our rooms. I was with Muichiro, Mitsuri and Kanao. We got into our room and I saw Muichiro immediately drop on one of the beds.
I laughed and grabbed him by his arms and pulled him back up "no more sleeping" I said playfully. Muichiro groaned and buried his face into my chest.

"Come on Tanjiro let him rest, the teachers said the program will be around 5pm" Mitsuri said, unpacking things.
Muichiro just smiled at me and pulled me on the bed too, closing his eyes immediately. There were only two big beds so we decided I'll lay next to Muichiro and Kanao with Mitsuri.

It was around 7pm when the program ended. We all went into our rooms before Mitsuri suggested something "Wanna invite some people into our room and play something? Like truth or dare?". "Yeah sure, I am getting quite bored anyway" I said.

"Okay, I'll go ask Iguro and others if they want to join,'' Mitsuri said and ran off and Kanao did too while me and Muichiro walked back into our room. "Will you play too?" I asked Muichiro. He just shrugged "I don't know, what if I pick dare and be forced to do something embarrassing... or truth and say something that will ruin my reputation even more"

He sighed and looked at the floor. I could sense his mood immediately changed. I sighed and placed my hand on his shoulder "Don't worry, it'll be fine" I smiled "They wouldn't force you into doing any embarrassing things and if they do I'll make sure to talk it out with them, okay? Just try to play too, it'll be okay"

He looked at me and forced a little smile "okay" he said simply before we got into our room. Just soon after Kanao and Mitsuri came back with Nezuko, Yuichiro, Giyuu and Aoi behind them. Yuichiro Giyuu and Muichiro sat down on our bed while others were sitting on the floor.

Nezuko grabbed an empty water bottle "ready?" she asked and everyone nodded.

Couple games later it landed on me and Giyuu was the one asking "Tanjiro, truth or dare?" he asked. "Truth" I said. "Alright, tell who you like in this room" he said, smiling. "H-Huh?! Hell no! I am picking dare then!" I yelled out. "Fine! Kiss who you like in this room!" he laughed.

I stayed quiet. "Well shit" Aoi whispered. I looked at the floor trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. "You obviously like Kanao, am I right?" Giyuu said. My heart dropped "N-No! I-I don't like her!" Giyuu rolled his eyes "geez, stop yelling, you are making it even more obvious"
I looked at Kanao who was looking at me with a sad look and rosy cheeks. Then when I looked at Muichiro he was looking at me but when our eyes met he immediately looked back at his phone.

Muichiro's pov

"Is he gonna kiss her?" I thought to myself and looked at other people. Nezuko buried her face into her palm, sighing while Tanjiro just stared at the floor.

Then Kanao whispered something into Aoi's ear and Aoi looked at the floor before nodding. I was confused by the whole thing, it was like there's something most of them know and try to keep it a secret or something.

"Kiss kiss kiss kiss" I heard Aoi yell. Then Giyuu joined too, both of them yelling at Tanjiro and Kanao to kiss.

Tanjiro and Kanao looked at each other before Kanao quickly came towards Tanjiro and kissed him.

My eyes widened. My heart felt like it was breaking... into tiny little pieces as tears filled my eyes.

"S-shit" I whispered under my breath and quickly stood up, rushing to the bathroom.

I closed the door behind me and leaned against the sink. Tears were now flowing down my cheeks freely and I couldn't stop them.

I just sighed and sat down on the floor under the sink and quietly sobbed into my knees.

Now I truly know... that I do have feelings for him...

Nezuko's pov

I saw Muichiro quickly stand up and walk away. Tanjiro quickly pulled away from the kiss and looked at the floor while Kanao held his hand.

Tanjiro groaned and slapped Kanao across her face "Kanao! What the fuck!!" He yelled out. Kanao touched her cheek and looked at him slowly "you know very well I love Muichiro and you kiss me right in front of him!!" He yelled out.
"...I-I.." was all Kanao said before bursting into tears.

Everyone went silent, all that could be heard was Kanao's sobs. Mitsuri suddenly stood up and walked away.

Mitsuri's pov

I knocked on the bathroom door "Muichiro, are you okay?". I heard quiet sobbing so I walked in to see Muichiro sitting under a sink.

I closed the door behind me and sat down next to Muichiro. "You okay?" I asked. He just nodded and wiped his tears, holding more tears from coming.
"Is this because of that kiss?... I am sorry if I am wrong but... are you in love with Tanjiro by any chance?" I asked. Muichiro stayed quiet for a while before just nodding slightly.

I smiled slightly and slowly caressed his back "hey no need to cry about that, it was a dare" I laughed "they know each other from childhood, if they would think of each other then childhood friends you would already know. Tanjiro hung out with you more, cared about you more and I am sure now he has an even better friendship than with Kanao... So don't give up, okay?"

Muichiro smiled slightly and nodded. "Here" I handed him a tissue, he wiped his tears with it and blew his nose.
"Wanna go back there? Or do you need some more time?" I asked. He shook his head and stood up as I did too before we both headed to the bedroom.
