Chapter Twenty-Five

Chapter Start!

Rita hugged Gil, then went down the line to everyone.

She waved goodbye, and the woman started with her brother across the hot desert.

After they left, Cole, Gil, Silvia, Ralph, Daisy, Jaylen, Hector and Ryan all headed to the heart of the forest.

The light shined through just right to make a light healthy green glow to the air. Magic could be smelled from how thick it was the deeper they walked.

Daisy walked in the lead, whenever she didn't know where to go next, she asked... the trees, and animals.

After walking for a few hours, Daisy stopped Sora flow down and landed on her shoulder. A man popped his head out from behind a tree.

"Hello" he spoke, "why have you come?" he questioned, eyeing the group, and stopping on Cole. "Wait, don't answer" he put his hands up, and stepped out of the tree line, showing off his shirtlessness and Goat legs.

This man was a Faun: half human, half goat.

He guided the group deeper into the forest. Until they entered a grove, Forest Sprites fluttered around, one zipped over, her air was a burning brown red, and eyes an Emerald forest green.

She blinked...

"Lucy! Shoo!" the Faun came running over, "Do you pranks somewhere else!" The small forest Sprite bowed, and few off, making a small laughing sound as she left.

The Faun sighed, and looked to the group, "I am guessing you have all come to take the Sword" he spoke, looking among the group. "Yes, how did you know" Ralph questioned.

The Faun looked at the blonde teen in the back, "Just a hunch" he shrugged.

"Follow" he said once more, walking deeper, "So you're re-hiding them?" he smirked.

"Well yes, the crazy Queen- no offence, is looking for them!" Cole cried. "non taken" Ryan said back to the teen, he understood his mother had gone crazier over the years, and he now knew of why.

"Yes, well, as you may not know, Theo's sword is powerful, and it should be used by one... of its worth" The faun smiled, "Cry-" he coughed "Cole" he turned, the teen's face shocked.

"How did you know my name?" Cole spoke up.

"Try the blade" the Faun moved showing a sword in stone, ignoring Cole's question.

Cole gave him a look, and made his way over, putting who hands on the hilt he pulled...

Then pulled again...

Now with two hands....

And again...

Again...

...

And one more try...

"It doesn't like me" Cole said stepping back.

"What!?" The faun ran over, and looked at him, "Nope, I can't even use a sword!" Cole pulled his gun out, "This is my weapon of choice"

The Faun looked at him, "Alright, who's next" he turned to the group annoyed.

Gil gave a smirk, "Alright" he laughed, and put his hands on the sword, and pulled...

Nothing...

Ryan came next, grabbing it, and pulling... he took his jacket off... Nothing...

Daisy came smiling up, and tried, at one point trying to bit it, but Cole and Gil pulled her away.

Silvia came next, "I don't even have a weapon" she shrugged, "Maybe a swor-" it didn't pull, "Dang it"

Jaylen and Hector made their way up, and looked at it...

"It's taller than me" Hector glared, and they just walked away.

"Alright, anyone else? Missing anyone?" The Faun questioned, getting desperate.

"Oh! My Turn!" Ralph came up happily, "Yeah! Go Ralph!" Silvia smiled, cheering on her knight.

"Yeah! Ralph! It's All Up To You!" Cole cheered as well.

Soon everyone was cheering the knight on, he gave a smile to them, "Thanks guys"

When he placed his hands on the hilt of the sword, it glow a blue shade.

When he lifted it, it slid out slowly...

The Faun smiled...

Ralph pulled Theo's blade from the stone, and smiled.

"The Sword has chosen" The Faun turned, "It will be yours in your quest for the Elements of Calamity. Keep them safe."

"Now for the Princess, with no weapon" He turned, "The Sprites made you a bow, maybe the prince can teach you"

The princess smiled, and took the weapon.

"To the young Scientists, If the Lingering Lightning's ever need a home, they may come here" the Faun turned to the ten year old, then turned to Daisy after seeing the boy smile.

"If you wish, we will keep your home safe, and if Sora or Galaxia ever need a place to stay out of harm's way, they may stay here."

Daisy smiled to this. The Faun turned to Ryan "My Prince, you will have to choose soon, but think things through, your choice will affect the world, but when you are waiting for this, please put your time into helping The dear princess learn the way of the bow, and look with your eyes at the state of the world." Ryan nodded, acknowledging his ideas, and listening to the fauns.

The faun turned to Gil, "To the Blacksmith, I would like to tell you to watch for a boat, tell your friend in the desert as well, you two will need to work together, better than you already do. Keep a cool head when disaster strikes. You'll need it to safe the ones you love." Gil gave the faun a look, but nodded.

Last the Faun turned to Cole. "And to you; Child of Light. I am willing to help you with your abilities," he snapped his fingers as two tree branches swayed down with a scroll in their leaves. "Thank you" the Faun took it, "This will help you learn how to use your powers better. Oh, and before I forget there will be another, one of darkness, like you young scientist, but older, and not a demon" he laughed, "But when this other comes, please, welcome with open arms, I have met this one already"

Everyone nodded, and Cole took the scroll, it shinned slightly, and when he opened it, it read and showed ways to use his light magic.

Even the way to heal...

The group thanked the Faun.

And started on their way.

More equipped than ever for their journey.
