Quiet Burdens

Chapter Forty-Two

(One of my Favorite Chapters so far)

Chapter Start!

Susan walked into the Temple, then went deeper than the other three, then looked back.

He smiled to the team. Then spoke; "Cole, Ralph, Jaylen, Hector. I, Susan, is the one who will oversee your Earth Trial to get the Emerald Earth! But Susan does not think leaving his place was a good idea, but the big scary guys showed up, and Susan thought it best to find his lady and friends!" He sheepishly smiled.

"Anyway Susan has a good idea on Trial! Tabitha Made a Maze, Mack made you fight, then if Callie didn't get captured and the Crystallized Fire stolen you would have gotten to fight yourselves... But! Susan Has An Idea!" He smiled.

"Cook Dinner!"

They team stopped.

And looked at each other.

"We Made You Dinner Last Night!" Hector screamed.

"No, no Susan must explain, Susan is saying, Cook Dinner, for Susan's pet! The Giant Earth Dragon; Marshmallow!" he smiled wide.

Cole blinked.

"What"

"OKAY!" Ralph interrupted, running over to Susan, "When do we start!" Susan smiled back, "Follow Susan" he started walked, with Ralph happily following behind.

Jaylen looked at Cole, "I would rather be fighting the troops outside" he spoke.

"Same Jaylen, Same, but we have to help Ralph, and we have to get the Emerald Earth, let's just suffer through this..."

Rita Jumped, smacking her staff down onto the face of the solider that had been running at her.

Gil froze a few of them, then turned fast when he heard a laugh, everyone basically stopped, seeing the reinforcements.

Which were none other than the dark shadow of Captain Trials.

"I found you again" He smiled, his deep voice, threatening and angry.

"Crap!" Silvia yelled, "Princess!" Ryan shot her a look, "Prince!" she yelled back, "He's your Captain! Call Him Off!"

"He Only Answers To My Mother!" Ryan yelled back.

"Your Majesty! Queen Scarlet has asked me to bring you back with me" Trails spoke, everyone stood there, looking at him, Ryan sighted, "I haven't seen much of these lands yet, but" he pulled his bow back, "I want to see more, and you can't stop me!"

He let go, and the arrow went flying at Trials, the big man grabbed the arrow in mid flight, and snapped it in half.

"Then I'll take you back by force, Then I'll Imprison the rest of this marry band of outlaws. And take the Emerald Earth, in the name of the Queen." He jumped down from his ledge, and the ground shook.

The battle had started once more.

Daisy quietly smiled, happy the boys where with Ralph and Cole, safe inside the temple. But her thoughts where cut short, as a blade came clashing down upon her sword.

She jumped away, then dashed back fast to hit the man who attacked her...

Emmy had been fighting men left and right, starting to get tired, she made her way over toward the edge of the fight, getting the men who may try and leave to get more men.

Silvia and Ryan rolled next to each other, then shot at Trials, for him to make a slash with his sword, cutting the arrows in half, the two stopped, then both took a breath, they added their elements to this one shot, then made them swirl.

They shot the arrows, which were engulfed in a fire tornado. Trials rolled out of the way of it, strait into Gil.

Silvia and Ryan then continued to shoot at the reinforcements, trying to hold them at bay.

Gil looked at Trails, "Long time no see, I'm kind of sad you knew how to swim" Gil smirked, giving a small bow, "Are you ready for our rematch?"

Trials glared at the boy, "ah yes boy, I remember what you did then, but sadly there is no ocean for you to escape with"

"Who said I escaped?"

Gil was smug, and Trails was angry.

(L. Note; Oh what if I turn this into a game? This would be a fun fight! And it really would be their re-match! When I learn how to code, I'm turning this book into a game!)

Trials dashed at Gil, who jumped, when Trials slashed his large blade, Gil jumped on top of it, then flipped over the large man's head.

Trials shuffled downward, kicking Gil, the boy fell, then rolled leaving ice for Trials foot that started to smash down toward the young adult, only for Trials to slip.

He blasted fire at it, making the ice melt.

Gil turned fast, his dual blades quickly went up, blocking Trials great swords swing down.

"AH!" Gil yelled, rolling away, "You've been training" he breathed turning back, "For a fight agents you? Never" Trials darkened, "Your just weak"

Gil stopped, his normal fighting smirk, faded, "Excuse me?"

"Weak. Soft. Unworthy."

"Oh you will regret that" Gil said darkly, then dashed at the big man.

Gil Dashed at Trials, blocking his large blade with one of his swords, then made it slide off, Gil then ducked under the large man, and rolled between his legs, leaving ice.

Trials tried to turned but saw the ice, melting it, he looked for the young adult and found nothing.

Then out of nowhere Gil landed on the large man, digging his blades into the large mans shoulder.

Screaming, Trails reached up with his good arm, and grabbed Gil, throwing him agents a wall.

Gil stood slowly, Trials eyes burned with anger. He stomped over to the boy.

He loomed over him...

Then punched him, Gil went flying once more.

Trials made his way over, then kicked him.

Gil spat out blood, and looked up at him, the boys brown and blue hair hung in front of his eyes, he tried to stand once more...

"Stay Down!" Trials yelled, punching him once more, this time making him fly up, then land a few feet away.

Gil tried to get up once more.

"Gil!" Rita saw, and tried to run to him, but Trials ordered him men to keep her from coming any closer.

"I can at least take down one of you" his voice was dark.

Gil gave him a look, one that Trials will never forget.

Gil formed water around him, helping him stand, the water formed into blades.

This time,

When Trials went for a punch,

Gil swung down.

Chopping off Captain Trials left hand.
