Chapter Fifthteen

Chapter Start...

It was Noon when Cole, Gil and Rita made it into the Golden Coat Oasis.

The Sun was bright and the heat was murderous, but the people were happy.

The town was small, and mostly were small huts near a lake, the people wore cloaks, with light colors, to keep the hot sun off them.

Rita walked in with a smile, "Ah..." she started, breathing in deeply, "Home Sweet Home"

"Wait you Lived here?" Cole questioned, and Rita turned with a bright smile, "Yup!" Gil gave a slight laugh, "I thought you said you hated the Desert"

"Oh, I do, but it's nice to go home" She turned to him, but shook it off, "let's get set up at the Inn, then let's go see my brother"

"You Have A Brother!?" Cole almost yelled, "Yup, well he's my Twin brother, but yeah, oh! And he's also the Chief of this place"

"C-Chief?!"

"Yeah, that's what I said when I first found out" Gil gave a smirk, "Come on"

The three made their way to the Oasis' inn, and got a room.

After they got Dinner, they decided to go and see Rita's brother the next day.

In the morning, they walked through the sandy streets, and headed to the biggest of the small huts, it sat in the middle of the main mass of buildings, and looked to have a clothe door.

Rita smiled, "Knock Knock" she laughed slightly.

"Rita?" A muffled voice said on the other side of the door, "Your supposed to say 'Who's there?'" she sighed.

"I'm not doing that sis" the cloth door opened, it showed a male Elf, with red hair, bright Gray blue eyes, with stubble.

"Long time no see Stan" Rita laughed slightly.

Cole turned to Gil "She seems more giggly now... Should we be worried?" Gil shrugged, "most likely" Was all he said.

After the introductions, Rita explained to her brother that they were running from the Kingdom of Harstar, "You see" she started "They tried to Kill us, we would be dead if it weren't for Cole" she pointed at the blonde in the hood.

Stan nodded, "Ah, I see" was all he said.

She then told him about Silvia and Ralph, then Daisy, and after about the Kingdom of Clyden looking for them.

"Well the Captain has been looking for him for seventeen years, After he lost him, when he was two, I think I get that" Stan sighed.

"How do you know that?" Cole questioned, "You just told me, remember?" Stan acted like he was caught with his pants down. Gil almost stood, "No we didn't" he narrowed his eyes.

"Yeah you did... R-right Rita?" he turned to his sister, "No... We didn't... Stan... How did you know..?" Rita looked into her brothers eyes.

"Cole, go back to the Inn, this might get ugly" Gil said, now standing, "Umm... Oh- okay!" Cole said as Gil pulled him up from sitting, "Get back to the Inn, and lock the door, I'll say our secret password from when we were kids, Okay?" Gil whispered into his friend's ear.

Cole Gulped, He knew Gil was serious about this, and agreed.

The teen ran out the door, and made his way to the run down Inn...

"Alright... Stan... How did you know about that?" Gil's ocean eyes raged like the sea in a storm. Rita stood as well, "I thought this would be safer... I was Wrong... tell the truth Stan..." Rita's eyes burned like rising smoke during a fire.

"Are you a Spy?" the two questioned at the same time.

"I-I'm sorry" Stan looked down, "The letter was sent the moment you came into the Oasis... More than half the citizens here are being threatened to do the Queen's dirty work..."

"The Desert is no longer Safe Rita... I'm Sorry"

Fun Fact! Rita is actually a triplet, but, the third member is kind of, ah ha... Dead... You'll be meeting her later >:3
