Fifth Year,
Get Ready For It.

Louisa Parker was many things that Oliver Wood wasn't. Where he was a competitive player on the Quidditch field, she was fair, believing that those who play fair are the true winners. He believe it was whoever came out on top with a trophy in their hand.

At first glance nobody would ever assume that the two would tolerate each other, only they did. Through mutual friends they were friends-ish, it was a complicated friendship. However, there were moments of genuine concern for one another, even if they never knew about each other's concerns.

Louisa was Captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team at Hogwarts, though she had no doubt that her team's seeker would take over for her once she left the school. She waited for her sister to come downstairs, it was her first time going to King's Cross Station, finally getting her chance to go through the barrier as a Hogwarts student.

"Lou, will you be able to take Katherine to the station with you," her mother asked rushing around their kitchen.

"Aren't you coming with us?" she asked

"I'm afraid not,"

"Kat will be crushed, you promised her-

"I know, I've been called to work I can't ignore it, I swear I'll owl her as soon as I can,"

Her mother never waited for her answer as she left for work, her father hadn't been well recently and he was in no fit state to take them to the station. She smiled as Katherine, walked downstairs with a bright smile on her face, she was excited about going to Hogwarts, anyone could see that.

The sisters sat down together to eat their breakfast, they didn't talk much, as they hardly had anything in common. Louisa was a physical person, who loved playing outside even in the rain. Katherine was the opposite, a logical person who preferred to stay inside with a book or play a game of Rune Riddles with their father.

"Mum's working isn't she," she said, Louisa nodded, "I thought she would be, do you think Rory is feeling better?"

"Aurora's fine,"

"How would you know, can you read her mind?" Katherine argued

"No, but trust me, she'll be fine, she has you," Louisa smiled knowing that the pair of them would be perfectly fine, especially if they ended up in the same house.

She didn't want Katherine to worry about their cousin, she was scared of going to Hogwarts, afraid of being away from her parents. Their older cousin, who graduated two years earlier assured both Katherine and Aurora that there was nothing to be afraid of. Louisa had to refrain from telling them about her panic attacks before every Care of Magical Creatures, or the complete avoidance of everyone's pets at Hogwarts.

"We should get going if you're ready?"

"I've been ready for over a week now," she said, holding the handle to her trunk.

As they walked through King's Cross Station, Louisa wait for a moment before running through the barrier, looking up at the clock, her friend should be here by now. Katherine's eagerness to run through the barrier was becoming a little embarrassing.

"Go through if you want, I'm waiting for Ethan,"

"Your boyfriend-

"Ex-boyfriend," she corrected her "We better as friends,"

She watched as Katherine walked through the barrier, with no rush in her at all. She smiled when she spotted Ethan and his family, he had a really big family, she couldn't understand how he didn't have more headaches surely it was loud in their home.

"Sorry, I'm late, had a last-minute panic," he said gesturing to one of his younger cousins, "After you,"

"Me first," his cousin Rhea said, running through the barrier, with her sister Phoebe and their first-year brothers right behind her.

"I'll let you go, Lou,"

"Thanks, Laura," she smiled at her fellow housemate and Quidditch team member, she had proved to be a very valuable Chaser for the Hufflepuff team.

"There you are, I've been looking for you," Oliver said to Ethan turning to her, "Parker,"

"Wood," she said, "have a good summer?"

"Great as always,"

"Louisa, I can't find Rory," her sister complained,

"I'm sure she's here somewhere she might already be on the train, go find her," her sister walked away boarding the train early in an attempt to find their cousin. "So more cousins coming to Hogwarts."

"Yeah, McGonagall's going to despise these two, put together with Rhea, they're nightmares," she chuckled

Glancing over to the young boys they stood, with another family, the father the James Potter, the famous Quidditch player. She was a big fan of his, he was her motivation to become the best chaser she could be his son looked just like him. She had seen his wife many times when she came to his Quidditch games, with their young daughter.

"You ready to owe me some galleons, Parker,"

"Whatever do you mean owe you?" she crossed her arms at him, "Hufflepuff won last year we can easily win again, that is if you don't cheat,"

"I never cheat,"

"Get ready for it, Wood, I'll be flying circles around you,"

"Merlin's sake, you been here for five minutes and you're already arguing,"

"Are not!" they both said Ethan rolled his eyes

"Come on, before you start bickering again," he showed them to the train, Oliver jumped on before her nearly knocking her back, she took a deep breath, turning to Ethan

"He's going to drive me insane,"

"Weren't you already," she slapped his shoulder as they found their compartment.

She assumed that her sister and cousin had found each other as neither one of them came looking for her. Hopefully, she wouldn't see much of them at Hogwarts, she loved them sure but who really wanted their family bothering them at school?
