What is the hardest thing to accept?

Me: realizing you are ugly among the family. My mother is fair while my father is very dark. After I was born I have always heard the phrase " if only I looked like my mother" or " she didn't get anything like her mother".

But to me it was weird because I should look like my father right?

Things got more difficult as I started university. Few teachers ignored me. I remember one of my teachers didn't even look at me while talking.

I am very skinny and dark so my classmates probably thought I was poor. I couldn't make friends.
